All of BTS is honestly so amazingly kind, funny, talented and has so much personality with their own quirks, options and way of looking at life. All of them are so different, but yet so alike. Jungkook has a very contradicting personality. He is very shy but still so confident, simple-minded but always thinking, quiet and reserved but chaotic and outspoken, masculine and tough but still so soft and sensitive. He has a little of all of his hyung`s within him. It`s always something that fascinates me, BTS relationship with their youngest(and each other) is truly something special. Jungkook never fails to mention his appreciation for his older members and how much he respects and looks up to them. He protects and takes care of them, but also teases and makes fun of them, just as BTS protects and takes care of him while also teasing him. They support each other so much, and it`s so easy to see the care they have for each other. Jungkook grew up and became himself under the influence of BTS. He grew up in the music industry with every good, bad and difficult part the comes with the Idol/famous life as his normal life, it`s just what he grew up with and easily got used to. He had to watch as his members struggle mentally(and physically) with something that he adjusted to quite easily, while the members watched over and guided Jungkook to be who he is today. Filling him in one by one and making sure he didn`t become a spoiled maknae that so many other groups/companies failed to do.

When BTS was formed their agency wasn't in the best condition, it was small and barely had any money to spend on them, so it's not a surprise that j-hope thought about leaving. Before BTS debuted, he was the most "popular" member as in he performed with other solo artists as "Jung Hoseok" and was considered a great dancer having transferred from JYP, one of the "Big Three" companies.

What jhope is saying about quitting is before bts's debut....maybe he thought he was not good enough rapper to be able to debut.
