Alls uaenas don't watch lyrics videos because of mistranslations. I think everyone would agree with me that in terms of IU's lyrics @IUteamstarcandy's translation is always the most accurate one. They have been translating many IU contents for years. and they are Uaenas backbone 😅🤣😂 in understanding IU's mind 🥰🤣
I know im randomly asking but does anyone know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account?? I stupidly forgot my login password. I appreciate any help you can offer me
"My Sea" is the song that Jidong listened to... it is composed by the same composers of Through The Night... it's length is 5:16 which is IU's birthday, May 16.. The composer specifically asked IU if he could composed the song with that length in mind....
we have sama thought. when i listened this strong for 1st time, i already get naul vibe, classic ballad korea. and i like it so much. it's been long time hear ballad song like this now.
The one who spoiled by Lee Ji Dong is song tittle My Sea (Kim Je Hwi and Kim Hee Won, composers of Through The Night) you should familiar with Kim Je Hwi, he's who playing guitar and piano at Home Body Signal Sloppy Live, this song composer is Naul, one of best Ballad singer of South Korean. He direct this song recording. IU said it's been very long time she not directing by other people, since she produced her album. She's very grateful to Naul. All songs in this album are amazing!
hii idk if you listened to epilogue yet.. but if u didn’t i hope u keep in mind that she said she wrote it as a letter for her fans before reading the lyrics❤️
So let me write down my theory for this song. It could be realy long and confusing to read tho, but just let me try lol... (please note it's more like my personal opinion based on the original lyrics...) First i want to say that in my opinion there are 3 IUs in this song... it is IU in her late 20s, IU in her early age (her teen and 20s self), and then IU in her 30s. And this song is like a conversation of IU in her late 20s with IU in her 30s about IU in her teen and 20s self. At the beginning she talks about how a "name" used to be painful to remember but then as the time passes by she wants to recall that "name" as she's slowly begin to forget it. I assume the "name" she mentioned there was herself from the memories she had in the beginning of her career, which we all already knew it wasn't a really pleasant memories for her but then at some point it's what made her who she is now, it was painful but she realizes she shouldn't forget about it. The spring she is talking in this song can be the TIME and MOMENT that represents herself.. In the first chorus there are two "Annyeong"s, which i assume the first one means "Hello" to her 30s and the second one means "Good bye" to her 20s, as now she's ready and on her way to start another phase of her life (she mentioned about this concept of this album multiple times so i think it could be interpreted like that). Then in both 2nd and 3rd chorus there's only one "Annyeong", i think the annyeong in 2nd chorus is a "Good bye" then in the 3rd chorus is a "Hello", since the lyrics in the 3rd (last) chorus gives more welcoming nuance.. (again it's only my opinion...) In the 3rd verse she mentioned about a flower blossomed on the street she used to walk, i said SHE not THEY cuz she doesn't actually points a second person in that line, so i think that "어느새 핀 꽃 한 송이" (eoneusae pin kkot han songi / a sudden bloomed flower) also can be herself from the past memories, and how she almost ignore it but in the end she can't just leave out that memories and then decided not to ignore it. And then things i want to point out on the translation is, "그대" (geudae) which is always mentioned in all choruses is better to be translated as "Dear / My dear" which gives more affectional nuance than "You", and in my opinion IU uses "그대" to show how she cherishes herself.. Also word "나란히" (naranhi) in the 3rd verse doesnt specifically means "together" but it's more like "side by side", which in my opinion delivers wider n probably deeper meaning than together, like it could be IU's trying to say she is walking side by side with her past self... Back to the chorus, from the 1st and 2nd chorus it's all IU who is still in her late 20s singing, but then start from the bridge and the last chorus it really hits me hard as the key changes in that part, it's like now it's IU in her 30s singing back to the IU in her late 20s who is still on her way approaching the end of her 20s and to the start of her 30s.. In that part it's like IU in her 30s talking to her-(still) younger-self > "hello, thank you for still cherishing yourself then and now, let's continue this journey like this and love yourself better, and let's not forget (pretending not to know) about who you were in the past.", something like that... Her song My Sea, also has this kind of nuance... and for real, for me the lyrics are even more beautiful... Well that's all what i see from this song... but seriously anyone can always do the translation on her every lyrics, but honestly i haven't found a translation that can actually close enough to show how beautifully she arranges word by word in to her lyrics, which is it's the reason why i eagerly want to learn Korean even more.. But aside of all, i always remember IU said that rather than explaining and forcing the background story of her own song from her side to the listeners, she prefers letting her listeners to freely have their own interpretation. So that her song can have wider meaning to the listeners... So yes, Hi Spring Bye can also be a love song for the specific one... be free to believe it that way if you want to 💜💚
Aaron just keep in mind that in this particular album IU used a metaphor. Her 20's, [time], is the lover in her lyrics in this album. For example she said that Lilac tells a story about a couple, who were in love for a long time, bidding each other a happy farewell amidst the spring. The couple is IU and her 20's.
U can watch her live performances on music bank or music core. She performed Lilac, Epilogue and coin there a few days ago. I personally liked the Lilac stages alot.
I think it is about her friends who passed away? At first she tells that there is a name that every time she hears it in the past caused her pain therefore she is pretending that she have forgotten or let's say she've move on already then everytime there is a low blows of wind at first it may unfamiliar to her but still she is hoping for something by reaching her hand and then later on she realize it was them who is hugging her(or only one of her friends). Then she was reminiscing about the past and how her friends looks so beautiful. then there was a line that she may not know them because it is just a low blows of wind but she decided to recognize them like that and will gonna say hi.. Ps. Just my theory😅 this is my interpretation for the lyrics.. when I first heard this song I feel sad even though I don't know the lyrics that's why I got curious and read then come up with this theory
@@-jfo- yeah I know.. but this is just my own understanding, we all have different interpretations🙂 besides this comment of mine is before the interview of IU💜
The song-writer, Na-Ul, is consider as one of best four vocalist among Bum-Soo Kim, Hyo-Shin Park and Soo Lee (MC the Max). S.Korean called them 김나박이 (Kim-Na-Park-Lee) in a short term using by their last name to recognised that they are 'THE BEST'. It you hear Na-Ul's other musics then you will found that the sound is really typical his music including melody, instrumental, etc. The chorus behind IU's voice, is probably his one.
I don't know how far you filmed the reaction video for the tracks, but I don't think it would be bad to proceed slowly. Because IU is likely to post live clips afterwards. And IU is filming a program called Yoo Hee-yeol's Sketchbook next week. That broadcast is a band live broadcast, but I think IU can sing a ballad like 'My sea'. Maybe I think she will sing more than three songs and she will song two songs not sung by other music programs. After that broadcast, videos are uploaded on RU-vid, so I want you to film their reaction videos.
I especially like this song 'Hi Spring Bye(봄 안녕 봄)'. ' Hi Spring Bye ' was composed by 나얼(Naul). 나얼(Naul) is a nice songwriter and especially, He is one of the representative singers & vocalists of Korea. He is soloist and also one of the members of r&b, soul music 4 Man Group(band) . [ She said it is a song that he gave her as a gift. She requested him to compose a song that reminded of the visual landscape when someone & her hears it. with a nostalgic feeling. She said the song was complete without any modifications to the original version of his composition, and also finished recording quickly. She seems very satisfied with his the original composition version. ] And the chorus part of the song was sung by 나얼(Naul). he has an excellent sense of harmony(chord). If you don't mind, I would also like to introduce his music to you. ^^ Have a nice day. ^^
I'm waiting for troll most ik you'll love that song it was written and composed by Dean. The song is really like a 4th gen pop song (no more spoilers I'll be waiting for troll)🤍
Hmm.. I tried to understand the translation here, but myself also got confused without the translation lol. To be honest, I realise that mandarin/Chinese translation for Korean language is more accurate than English translation even my brother who studied in Korea also told me the same thing here. Lol 😂
Really love this song...even without lyrics. (dunno why but i usually do not read the translation and just let the song get me) I Hope she will have a "Live Stage" video for this like "Dear Name"
I dont understand the lyric but when you listen it by heart you will literally feels the message of the song..Oh my God!I just love this girl what.. #JiEuniusofJiEunius💜

Wait for "my sea" Aaron, that song made this man cry. This song and "Dear name" are my 2 favorite IU songs right now. I can't wait to see your reaction.
I found it to be the only song on the album that didn't record her chorus and background vocals. Some people think it's also implicitly written to friends who have passed away in the past.
