IU is the artist who permeates the Korean emotions the most. Among her works, remaking hit songs from the 1970s and 1980s served as a generation after generation. This My Old Story is one of them. It is a poem composed and sung by Cho Deok-bae, a "Bard Poet on a Wheelchair," in 1985. Jo Deok-bae is a great artist who expresses the beauty of Korean language delicately and affectionately. I attach the original song below. I don't think IU has followed Cho Duk-bae's sensibility yet. The original version vibe is like we were talking to our first love in high/middle school talk about nostalgic fool memory. But IU version is felt more like longing and sad because we parted with the one that we love. Just my personal interpretation though. Both version are good 👏🏻
