Taeil is actually the singer for the 'not alone' part that you like in the first verse !!! I'm pretty sure Doyoung and Heachan are harmonizing behind with the rest of the group but Taeil is the lead in this sentence! Taeil is the main vocalist of NCT127, he was the one in the forest (white, grey hair) that you forgot the name, he sang after Doyoung in the first verse and also sang the 'anymorrre' at the end of the bridge and the high note ! Renjun is the lead in the second chorus for the 'not alone part' :) You really should react for more vocal track from NCT, they really are gold in this generation !!!

NCT U is unpredictable when it comes to sound. It's essentially NCT's experimental unit, anything goes and you can't go in expecting or guess what type of song they'll come out with next. They choose members based on who fits the song/concept. So you'll get everything from super rap heavy tracks like "Misfit" to slow ballads like "From Home". In fact, NCT U has some of NCT's most powerful ballads/slow songs like "Coming Home" and "Timeless" not to mention quite a handful of OSTs.

Actually, it's not about the pandemic. It's about them. "I live in the CT, sing about me". CT is NCT, that's how they refer to the group in songs. Because it also sounds like " City", their fans are called NCTzens (N-citizens). So basically this songs is about them finding their home in the group and grow from there. During the second verse, you can also notice all foreign members singing about living away from their family. Kho pun khab is Thai, because Ten is from Thailand

to also add on to my explanation,, chenle, the one who sat in front of the tv, is a dream member. He recently said that he’d call jisung (another dream member, ncts maknae) crying to him and says how he misses them/him since Chenle doesn’t live in the dorms and only sleeps there during promotions and often calls the members to eat with him when he feels lonely (he doesn’t live in the dorm because his family bought their own house in korea and chenle stays with them) and i think it’s really cute and reflects on the mv and how they all grew up together since dream members debuted at a very young age, jisung being 14 at the time, and he became a SM rookie at the age of 11.

I think you were focused too much on them possibly singing about the current situation 😂 Honestly, I didn't think they were talking about that, because the lyrics, MV and them singing in their native languages and saying "thank you" in them - it all seem too personal imo to be about the whole world (and what they would be thankful for?). Even before checking out the lyrics I had a feeling that they were talking about themselves, their own stories. And considering the fact that they mentioned they found a home "in the CT" (as in the NCT) I think that my feeling was more or less correct and it is about the members. But music is music, everyone can take different things from the same song.

You'd be surprised if you listen to NCT albums (in general, not only this latest one) because of the variety of their songs. Their title tracks tend to be the weirdest one but their b-sides are so beautiful. They have all kinds of genre in albums, rap, pop, ballad, rnb, edm, jazz.

Here is my take. The closest interpretation for From Home is about the foreign members and their struggles and hardships of being foreigners in a foreign country to achieve their dreams as an idol. They have to fit in and learn the language and at the same time learn and train how to improve their singing and dancing. We know how SM is very strict when it comes to their trainees so even though we didn't experienced those, we still felt how much struggles and hardships they had to endure in order to be where they are now. But because of the members, instead of remembering those days as bad memories, they treat it as good memories because the language barrier didn't hinder them from being close to each other. The gap in their hearts from being lonely being away from their home country and parents was filled with good memories and they were able to gain strength from it to continue forward. and I'm pretty sure it's the same for the Korean members. They may not have shared the same struggles and hardships as trainees but they understood what the foreign members felt and made them feel like they naturally fit in.. they made them feel comfortable and that made the foreign members be more of themselves. They slowly gained each other's trust and look at them now, they're one big happy family. 😊 NCT is their home. NCity is where NCT and NCTzens are living. Also, notice scenes where they were filming in the middle of those tall grasses or whatever you call that. It represents NCTzens (our fandom name) because Mark once said that we look very pretty like grass because our fandom color is Pearl Neo Champaign and when NCTzens gather with our own lightsticks, we do look like grasses. 😂

So haechan, taeil, doyoung in korean. Kun, chanle and renjun in Chinese and yuta in Japanese. And them some parts are in english.

So far of the many reaction video, Aaron you are my favorite. you should learn more about NCT, i'm sure you will like them. Because NCT is a boyband that has a unique and interesting concept. I know you still can't get to know all the members, especially now that they are 23 members (: but welcome to NCT, we don't even know next year whether NCT will add new members. But if you are attracted to them I will cheer up for you !!! I suggest you get to know them from now, before SM adds new members again😭

The song isn’t actually about the pandemic or global situation at all. They’re singing about themselves and their bonds. So many of the members are foreign, and even the ones that aren’t aren’t living with their family, so they have each other as family and a place to belong instead. That’s why they all get to sing in their own language, to express themselves and their feelings about the group in their native tongue. The language you couldn’t identify was Thai, because one of the members, Ten, is from Thailand. The only language they used that isn’t a native language of at least one of theirs is Spanish. And NCT has always had beautiful vocal songs too - when they debuted with NCT U, they released 7th Sense but they also released a vocal song called Without You at the same time and promoted it alongside 7th Sense. A lot of 127’s B-sides are filled with beautiful vocal-centric songs. No Longer, Back 2 U, and White Night are some of my favorite songs of theirs.

honestly you'd be surprised at the amount of vocal centered and slow/soft songs nct have considering that their brand is "nct noise" n all, tbh their whole discography is amazing. There are some songs you might not like on the first listen but the more you do listen and pay attention to the songs, the more they grow on you and more you start to love them. Idk man, just speaking from experience, hell even my grandparents like their songs (fuckin' surreal) and yeah. It's a whole experience

It's yuta the one that yellow hair and white shirt, they sang in Japanese Korean Chinese and english BTW this song is about them, that line 'I'm alive in the CT' it's about them being in NCT, how all of them left their home to pursue their dream of being singer/performer and train for a long time, and finally succeed by debuted but they found friends that becoming family(NCT) and one lyrics 'in this light, we smile looking at each other' it's like saying that in the stage when they performing, they look at each other and forgot all those hard times(training days) and smiling, being grateful and happy got to be together with each other I'm sorry for my bad eng >~

This song is also specifically for NCT themselves and for between NCT and NCTzen, because it's about all of them came from different part of the world, FROM HOME. Then met in Korea which is a different atmosphere for many members. (Some of them haven't learn Korean before) And, when they got through many things together, meeting NCTzen, they became trust each other and not alone.

nct's ballad songs are one of the best...u should listen to "Timeless and Coming Home".

the song tells about the foreign members of nct about how they don't feel lonely because they got nct as their family and the amount of love and support the fans give to them. even though they miss being home with their families, they're not alone anymore because they got each other's back let me also add, most of the foreign members especially nct dream (chenle & renjun), flew to korea to achieve their dreams at a young age and left everything behind their respective homes. the lyrics "it all starts from home" says about how they look back at their past where they could only dream about being artists to now becoming successful and known artists in the kpop industry. you also noticed the lyrics "In the CT, I'll sing again" which when you read it, it sounds NCT or In the city (NCITY) let me also the scene where haechan sings "found a reason to be myself." you see how the scene shows the word "NCT" carved in the sand? each member can be themselves because they found each member as their own home. Basically NCT = Family the baby pictures in the music video aren't all the members, it's only those who sang in this song which are taeil, yuta, doyoung, kun, renjun, haechan and chenle !! all of them are the respective vocalists of their units

yah they are singing 4 languages in this song. each member is singing in their native language so everyone singing in korean is from korea. everyone singing in chinese is from mainland china. and the one speaking in japanese is yuta the one you kept pointing out and kept saying is that yuta or not lol is from japan. and ofc everyone is singing english. it's so beautiful. oh the one of the language you couldn't point out when they were saying thank you in other languages, i believe that was thai said by ten who is from thailand. ofc not all the foreign members are in this song if it would be like half of the group but it's the majority of everyone who represents all of nct and it's also everyone each unit too. also i forgot to mention everyone saying thank you in the different languages are not actually in this music video.

from my pov, i honestly think of the meaning of this song as like theyre reassuring each other as nct members that they can always run back to each other because theyre comfortable being w each other, trust each other and those memories are what made them who they are today and them remembering those memories tell them that it all started "From Home". another point under that is in the chorus, i think that when they're on stage, under the spotlight, the time when all their hardwork was shown, the time they spend together, they only see each other and nctzens that all they can do is smile and its either 1) they see nctzens as their home or 2) the stage feels like home OR 3) despite being on stage, they are grateful for the people that helped them become who they are this is when they say "when we shine bright, im alive in the CT i sing about me" followed by the rest of the chorus, that shows a big hint that its talking about the stage. CT is nCITY most likely referring to them as a group / on stage.
