i really don't like reactors who dont pay attention to the video they're watching or like they don't know what's going on but they don't really care enough to just search up the meaning... just scroll down on comments or look up an explanation like, c'mon it doesn't hurt much no? ... always acting clueless like- "what did i just watch?" is so annoying. just some constructive criticism no offense
I think that Ditto and OMG are connected. They both focus on the opposite spectrums of a parasocial relationship. In Ditto Heesoo (the girl filming) sees NewJeans as her friends, but that’s not reality. As the MV goes on she realizes that she can’t keep holding on to a relationship that doesn’t exist. She gets in touch with reality by making real life relationships. This is conveyed with the boy. At the end of Ditto Part B, Heesso is older and is reminiscing about how she used to love NewJeans. It’s NewJeans telling us our music will always be there, but live your life because those type of moments you don’t want to miss. In OMG the parasocial relationship is through NewJeans’s perspective. All the things us fans or Bunnies roles we gave them manifests into reality in them. It showcases how fans can impact the idols. This kind of jump from reality is shown with them being in the psych ward. For example, Minji is kind one the mom role in the group and she’s become so in to her role she thinks she’s a doctor helping the girls out when really she’s a patient like the rest of them. Another example is Haerin. Bunnies have said she has cat like characteristics and now she thinks she’s a literal cat because of her feeling like that’s the role she’s stuck in. Hope this makes sense!!
omg, it is really makes sense. just, how deep they went into it. also they are so talented and stable. really loved them. thank you for your explanation.
There are even theories that OMG scenes are actually all in Ban Heesoo’s imagination. She’s the one in the mental hospital, since we see her in the background of some scenes in OMG
Aw man it’s prob bc you’re not usually into the RnB/groovy stuff, but this song was Stuck in my head the next few days after first listen. I also just equally enjoy all the songs they’ve put out so far
@@kpopeonni6236 yeah especially their bsides.. maybe it's just that he doesn't like newjeans's singing style from what I've noticed, their constant use of vocal fry etc... I personally love both newjeans and nct's music so I really don't know 🤷♀️
This song is a COMPLETE BOP! Both Ditto and OMG has been stuck in my head and I have been playing it non stop! LOVE the R&B blend with pop style. No other kpop girlgroup is doing anything new or fresh like what New Jeans is!
you should really react to the dance practice for this one. the choreo it’s just sooooooo good. it’s pretty much just 90’s hiphop and the girls killed it fr
I'm with you, I also wasn't very into this song the first few times I listened to it. But within the next few days I kept hearing it and the more I listened, the more I started liking it. Now it's been on repeat for days and I'm absolutely in love with the song. It is a song which takes time to get used to, New Jeans is unique like that so their musical genre is wide but I'm so grateful for that.
I feel like whenever aaron reacts to newjeans, he kinda looks confused abt the music and stuffs, i get it now, new jeans is actually what people of gen z nowdays like more focused on : minimal but aesthetic ,physcology stuffs, unique, and not being perfect. They targeted on gen z audiences. I’m 1996 so i still find this music so good & trendy. Like for exp, i find twice and other similar girl group when they do rap part and lots of beauty shots, it’s so annoying and cringey. Back to preference hahah
was ur fan since you first reacted to kpop but now i feel like you getting more and more bias. Sometimes the songs are good but you dont like it because u dont stan the artist but if the songs are from the artists that u stan like itzy or twice even though it’s not that good but u literally give such compliments or saying it’s so freaking good or sth
I see what you mean, although I have to say that when it comes to just music I don’t care what group it is. If I like it I like it, if I don’t - I don’t. And since I share my personal and subjective opinion, I’m always biased and always have been
literally everyone’s has their opinion, he doesn’t have to like by force just because most people like it or just bc they’re new jeans. This is song is just not his cup of tea and it’s understandable..
I love the theatrical videos but it wouldn't work if the songs weren't so good...kpop really needs this group right now, so fresh but with a nostalgic feel
Only introvert and ambivert will get the video fast. We have huge/wild imagination than extrovert type. That's why some find it weird, but we introvert this kind of music video is normal to us. And we can relate it too much.
I dont think he like this hahah but personally they become my new gg instant when i watched ditto…the grooviness and the song stuck in my head rent free
We all should already know aron taste and by this, we all know that NJ isnt hes cup of tea. Hes more into loud, hard beat, trap, experimental sounds, and thats perfectly fine.
@@neilgcu Oh I think youtube deleted the comment because of the link. I'll paste the section here again: "The biggest clue to whatever NewJeans is, is their icon: the white rabbit. It's everywhere - in their MVs, in their outfits, in their lore and concepts, their fandom name, and in their sound which is notably both dreamy and bouncy/groovy. The way NewJeans expresses this motif in every single thing they do is easily one of the most brilliant things I've seen in k-pop. And this is partly because of how both subtle and obvious it is, and how they've taken an old tale and modernized it so it feels familiar but also self-aware. What is this concept I'm talking about? It's Alice in Wonderland. If NewJeans' summer release introduced fans to their sound, gifting bunnies a 'Cookie', then in their winter release NewJeans are inviting people to follow the white rabbit into their maddening, dreamlike universe. The wonderland of NewJeans is one of eternal youth and good vibes, and not necessarily Y2K as is widely believed. In my opinion. Every group from debut Itzy to Red Velvet to XG to Triple S has tried a Y2K aesthetic and not one of them feels as nostalgic or youthful as NewJeans. Why? From the straight unadorned long black hair, to the inclusion of Black and queer characters into central storylines about young love, to using the bunny as a metaphor for playfulness and awareness, the expression of youth and fantasy in NewJeans is so subtle and yet pervasive to me, it's obvious it has come from the mind of someone obsessed with the idea, someone who has studied what makes someone youthful beyond the temporal sense. Much has been said at this point about the end scene in OMG and how that is Min Heejin clapping back at her detractors, but for anyone who has actually watched the MV, it's clear that everyone (including the doctors) is said to be mad or a little insane or inside this 'dream-like reality'. Everyone, including the viewer. In Ditto and OMG, NewJeans' not only break the 4th wall, they demolish it completely. You're left wondering what is real and what is an illusion. And that's the point. With that final scene in OMG with Minji bringing the hater with her into the insane asylum, and the final scene in Ditto where an Inception-like flip happens when Ban Heeseo watches her old tapes (Heeso being a representation of their fans), the creative team at Ador has brilliantly conveyed the reality of para-social relationships fans develop with their idols, as well as enclosing their fans in their own universe and memories. Not even their haters are exempt. It's genius." It was on a tumblr blog called beautifulpersonpeach!
No es que no le guste esta música. Evalúan mal a NewJeans por el problema de las galletas e intencionalmente fingen que no les importan NewJeans porque quieren mantener esa actitud.
So you're reacting to new genes how many other groups and solo artist in the same musical family as BTS have you reacted to? Have you reacted to all of these BTS Justin Bieber TXT Ariana Grande Enhypen the Weekend SEVENTEEN country group Lady A formerly known as Lady Antebellum in the United States Demi Lovato. A dozen or so more but I can never remember any of the other names of the groups and solo artists. There is a video though titled all artists under HYBE labels corporation or something to that extent but sometimes when you search for it you only get Korean and Japanese artist.
