sassy me is on my top 3 red velvet b-sides, along with sunny side up and kingdom come. i love the vocal fry on the verses, as well as the harmonies and the vocal layering on the pre chorus. it's really bold, i can't think of any other gg that would pull off those vocal fry moments as red velvet did without sounding silly or too much.

Moonshine are Swedish. Boy am I proud to be Swede. In fact, most of Red Velvet's songs are produced and/or written by Swedes. Like we even got the Zimzalabim as a title track which comes from Swedish "Simsalabim" and has the same meaning as Abracadabra. Love it!

Yes. I think NCT was the first kpop idol to use vocal fry but it was not impressive by korean citizens but look how other idols use vocal fry nowadays. Seriously, SM is waaaaay more ahead of their time. And look how other artists outside sm took ideas from them. Whatever SM artists released, people are like "Thats too experimental sound" "not my type" but after months other companies use that ideas 😂😂

Can't understand why, a lot of people throw some trash words at them for the first time, and then love it when they faves doing the same. Name it, and we got all of it. Noise music? Mullet hair? Male wearing crop top? Vocal fry? Sick theory in their MV and group? Etc. SM always ahead of its time in term of creativity tbh.
