Actually last night I was watching some sad dramas/series and then I randomly sung Dumb dumb. Lmao, I was laughing so hard and feel so sorry to the drama.
@@Shane-iu8bb Dumb dumb plays in my head in random times like when i'm watching, choosing clothes, when i'm in the shower, when i'm eating and even when i'm walking upstairs.
The song structure and contrasting tones actually had meaning to it. The concept is acting cute/innocent and her struggle with it because it's not really her true personality (the verses express that along with a cute tone to it). Her real personally is the sexy/charismatic side and she calls the guy she likes dumb for falling for her with her cute/innocent facade (the chorus/rap parts expresses that side of her perfectly). This is just to explain why there was a contrast between the chorus and verses. It fitted very well with the Lyrics (like competing 2 sides: Angel Somi vs. Devil Somi) Especially in the 2nd verse, she acting the exact opposite of what she's singing in the lyrics because she's trying to sound innocent but can't help being her normal self lol
Thank you for being honest. Most other reaction channels say they like every video, but you seem to be more honest about what you feel. That is why you are the only kpop channel I watch.
@@sa__edits_ It's not bad to be a little nasally. In fact, Ariana grande use a little nasal in her voice. It is a stylic choice and it's very common in pop music. But very nasal voice cannot be good for the voice. For somi's case tho, it's not that nasal and it's close to her real speaking voice.
This song grows on me the more I listen to it, I remember playing this for 3 days nonstop after release. The contrast in beats is more on her front act which is cute/innocent (verse) vs her true self which is badass/strong (chorus). Not to mention TEDDY's (and most of YG artist) forte is dramatic change in beats lol.
That's literally you trying to force yourself to like a song... Like the more you listen, you're making yourself used to the sound so you just end up liking it. Which is a very kpop stan thing
Somi - I am dancing on the top of your head you Dumb , Dumb Him - You literelly dancing on the top of his head . 😆 Me : 😂😂🤣🤣🤣*falls from bed* still laughing 🤣🤣
Yeah! Somi’s back! 🤗. Yes, we all agree it was too short. We want more. Felt the same way with her last one too. They could of found another title to the song? They could of used another iconic move rather than the fingers around the eye… they could of not used the demolishing of food .. 😂. Felt like a made for RV archive video. Not a bad thing I guess. 😂 It was fun watching Wendy try the hand over the eye gesture during her interview with Somi on her radio show. 😄
Kpop has the obsession with EDM based chorus with minimal vocals. That’s the formula to make it trendy on social media like TikTok, hence propelling the song to another level of popularity. This phenomenon is exactly why record labels prefer to release a single instead of a full body of work like a studio album. The same reason why this track is too short. Shorter MV means more views. They just want to top the chart. Anyway, I appreciate your honesty.
@@bareenaj1992 If anything, I don’t stan any artist from YG. I am simply expressing my disappointment on the current state of the industry, lead by their biggest player. New artists witness a global impact you can achieve with limited discography & now they simply emulating the formula. Singles, after singles with generic EDM beats & fancy choreography. That’s how you make a trend & dominate the chart. YG created the formula, Itzy, Everglow, Ateez, Treasure etc are following the footsteps.
@@johanmat2112 yes agree you can post whole 1 minutes song easily on social media n get attention she charts high in digital because song is short so its easy to stream.
*When you said 'teddy, I could tell"---- It means that he is doing predictable things again. I understand the producer's signature and things but the sudden drop, a bit of rap and short songs are too mainstream. Also somi fans waited for an year, to get a 2 and half minute song. I don't understand that kind of promotion BY the label*
All her songs have been growers for me because i find the songs kinda shallow on the surface and her voice is a little basic to me…? Idk her voice doesnt do the most for me off the bat. But i have actually loved this song and the prechorus has been so stuck in my head. Because of this song her others have quickly grown on me. Shes very talented but i hope she starts to put out a more impressive/larger body of work soon! It was so long ago that she was on produce 101 after all…you think she’d have her “chungha” moment by now.
thank you for reacting to Somi. I hope to see more different kpop artists on your channel, Aaron. I suggest you to react to iKON songs too. especially one of their hit song "love scenario" I think you might enjoy it.
Aaron’s always keeping it real! I love the chorus especially the instrumental but the verses... not so much. Somi deserves better. Teddy’s production is so predictable and uninspired.
Umm Teddy's production is usually the opposite of what you said. That's why his songs for BP become massive hits immediately. But there are times when his songs aren't that good. After all, he's human
I love this song so much!! So sad that it's short:( Anyways can you please react to A.C.E recent comeback: Higher. I'm curious on your opinion of the song
Somi's songs r always like dat for me- it aint my jam in the first listen, but den after a few more listens i think to myself like "y the hell didnt i like it bfr"
