Bang Chan, the leader who is also the main producer of the group, is generally the one directing their recordings and he LOVES harmonization haha, he either makes the members do it or he himself does it like in the second pre-chorus.
sorikkun is singer (used to called pansori person which’s someone who sing korean traditional song) But if u breakdown Sori means sounds Kkun is used to called Someone (…..kkun) Stray Kids used sorikkun also can interpretation as “this is me” That’s why they also say I’m not sorry, we’re not playing by rule So basically they’re like mocking, teasing, laughing to the hater
Faultfinder literally means "someone who finds fault/criticise" hahaha. Like you said on your second listen, it's a song referencing haters who discourage them from their craft (i.e., "woodcutters" who cut down their ego). People call them 'noise' music but Stray Kids embrace it by playing a pun on the Korean word for 'singer/sorikkun' (traditionally) which literally translates to noise/소리/'sori' + professional/꾼/'kkun'. They accept that they do make noise music because that's literally their profession as singers/sorikkun's. Their album NOEASY is also stylised in a way to resemble NOISY and hence referencing that yes they are _noisy_ and what they do is _not easy_ (i.e., not just anyone can do this). It's honestly a double or even triple wordplay because 'noise/소리' is rhymed throughout the lyrics in both English and Korean: e.g., "I'm not sorry/소리, I'm dirty" which can be taken as "I'm not sorry that I'm noisy". Plus a lot of other parts too!
People say their songs are very noisy, 95% of the songs in the album is written by them, and some songs lyrics written by them are very related to people who called them noisy and people who judge them like song domino, In this case if people said this thunderous is noisy that means they are telling korean culture noisy (music is based on sounded like korean instruments) The whole album is very great and meaningful
the name of the title track is thunderous! NOEASY is the albums name haha, they get alot of criticism for their music being "noisy" so they made a louder song and named their album NOEASY = NOISY (wordplay), it'd be really interesting to see you react to the whole album, i think you'll like the bsides too!
The name of the title track is Thunderous, I find this song so great because they're literally laughing at the haters in their faces lol Stray Kids are amazing, they took the hater's words and made it such a great concept, definitely only them can do this. If you have time, you should listen to the rest of the album NOEASY, it has a lot of different sounds and meaningful lyrics that you can probably like.
10:17 about changbin's rap about woodcutter, 「'namu'raldae uptta」 means 「flawless」 and 'namu' sounds the same as wood in korean. so it means woodcutters don't need to be here since there is no namu(=flaw, sound same as wood) in our place(maybe their song or the MV). Also, his rap flow in this part uses 'Pansori', a traditional Korean epic chant, and the person who sang 'Pan-sori' was called 'sori-kkun'. -kkun is a person who's good at something, sori is sound or music, so sori-kkun means musician/singer
I clicked directly when I saw you while I was browsing youtube to see who reacted to thunderous wow i love stray kids so much. I love you so much too. your reaction to the title song of my favorite album by stray kids... i mean what more could i ask for hahaha.
You should watch Andy and jas for further analysis on the lyrics since they are Korean-American, they really help you understand the Korean to English translation as well as the Korean wordplay that are in the lyrics.
Did anyone else noticed Felix’s in the comic Hungjin was reading in the transition? I thought that was WAY cool. The boys have done it again and outdid themselves. I love these guys and I am 65.
Yup it is about the haters! Many people always say bad about stray kids music that is just noise music so their album name is "noeasy" but when you read is fast it will sound like "noisy" and in the lyrics you can see they are talking about that only it's a clapback to haters in face
A very great job on this reaction. I admire your knowledge on a lot of things : music, sounds, cinematography etc. Even able to read some Hangul. Thanks for the reaction. 👍
Very nice reaction, thank you for reaction to stray kids !! This MV so insane !!! They are very amazing, very powerful and very fire 🔥🔥🥵🥵 The instrumen so good, they're mix a modern music with Korean traditional instrument !! The dance the rap and animation make this MV really good !!
Their background is traditional Korean cultural assets. It is also famous for the background of the Netflix Korean drama Kingdom. There are many videos taken in the background here, so you will feel familiar. And the article on the paper is 'Come on, singers'.
Hi Aaron! I really waited for you to react to this!!! Their song title is Thunderous and their Album Name is "NoEasy" (which can also be read as noisy) I hope you check their other song from the Album! Thank youu. Sorry for any grammatical errors.
If you notice, the letters E and A are faded which makes it “noisy” instead of “noeasy”. Their whole album is dedicated to their haters who calls their music as “noise music” or “noisy”.
The album is noeasy the title track that you listened to is thunderous also jutdae is because changbin is known to stick to principles so jutdae=principles (nice reaction btw) if you get the chance you should check out other songs in the album it's really good I think you would like it
I've been there for three years and I still get excited about everything they publish, they will never really bore me, I really love music I think it has my personality👹☝️haha, omg I think I'll only stay forever🐥💕
I love how this is a clapback at haters, a declaration of independence and originality, and a celebration of Korean culture all wrapped in one. Super talented ... but then I may be biased for Stray Kids ...
Me as once and half stay cannot decided which is their top 1 mv,, before this my fav mv was god's menu and now idk,, this mv may top the list of my fav mv of them,, they are stray kids duhh
stray kids LOVES double meaning!! noisy/noeasy, sorikkun means the singer/thunderous!! they’re such a genius sometimes even the korean stays are also having difficulty to really dig the meaning behind because their lyrics are just so genius🤧
My english so bad, but i really thank you, this react is amazing bcs you not focus on lyrics without translator, but your focus the music and video, is amazing man, i'm proud
Yes you are right! They want to show the antis that they will shout their voice proudly to the nagging nags. Because antis call their songs is noisy. As you can see too, they spitting (ptui ptui), dissing and singing loudly. And the instrument are combined with korean traditional musics so if people say it's noisy, that means they are disrespect to Korean culture too. So straykids is genius when making this music.
actually the tittle track called 'Thunderous' in english, NOEASY is the album name which is you SHOULD listen to all tracks in it, you're gonna love it
kkun indicates the people who are super talented. In this case, sori=sounds Kkun means they are amazing to make sounds. Thunderstorm is a metaphor to express the kkun.
If you really wanna know the meaning of the song, dance and mv, I suggest you watch AndyandJas reaction, they make a really good breakdown of this song and mv, since they speak korean and know Korean culture, their explanation is very well done and you will realize Stray Kids is Genius! especially handling the haters cause they are Sorrigun 😂😂
