Taeyang is a member of a group called BIGBANG. I am Korean, but I think it will be hard for a group like BIGBANG to come out again in Korea. They are very talented and make their own songs. It also digests various genres and has a wide musical spectrum. Especially, the live performance is amazing. YG said that YG didn't make BIGBANG, but BIGBANG made YG.

Bro Taeyang is an OG in kpop industry. Before BTS and BLACKPINK there’s a very big group called BIGBANG and Taeyang is the main VOCAL and Dancer of the group. JIMIN and LISA and their group as a whole as well literally look upto them. Taeyang is like the R&B KING of korea. If they did not had a HIATUS I’m pretty sure that they’re as big as these popular groups now. BIGBANG his group basically popularised hiphop and r&b in kpop scene. They debuted in 2006. KPOP is not even mainstream at that time and they are heavily inspired by hiphop culture but their discography is very wide and not limited in their hiphop and r&b roots. For me, it is the first no-skip album by a Kpop solo act, even in Bigbang standards. Taeyang is trying to unite Kpop and bring quality music again. Look you are focused on the groups of the 3rd and especially the 4th generation. And among the 1-2 gens you're reacting only to SM groups. I mean if you're not familiar with Taeyang it doesn't mean he's no name artist. Taeyang is the one of the 'biggest names' especially in S.K. Maybe not in terms of hype these days but his skills and works are really well known, loved, respected and all of that for a reason. He is one of the best dancers in the industry, he was a role model for almost every male idol of 3-4 gens. And if you think that he collabed with Lisa and Jimin because he wants attention, views, promotion, then you are deeply mistaken. Taeyang is Jimin's bias and BigBang is the reason Lisa went from Thailand to Korea to audition to YG . Taeyang and BigBang directly or indirectly trained the new generations of kpop 😊. Jimin spend his rookie years practicing on Taeyang songs , Lisa was a backup dancer in Taeyang MV for Ringa Linga. Companies took their trainees at BigBang concerts to see how to perform. Ok I've got to comment. The success of the final product is from everybody, Taeyang, Lisa, the dancers, and the whole ekip. Without Taeyang, the soul of the MV is not complete. Without Lisa, the slay rap part and performance vibe is not complete. Without the dancers and the ekip, the perfection of the MV is not gonna happen. You watched a reality show in which iu fanboying over taeyang. I mean you should realized just how big bigbang is if even IU idolize taeyang. I like watching your reaction, but i think you shoud learn more about kpop older artist. For example when you react to hyoris' breakfast, you only think IU is the superstar. FYI Hyori is one of the biggest soloist in kpop. Even if she's not active now, you can go to korea and asked older peoplei 60 70s who dont like watch tv, and they will still know hyori.

Taeyang and BIG BANG always are King of KPOP. BIGBANG, DBSK. SuJu, SNSD,...(big names of 2nd generation) formed KPOP todays and bring it to the world. If you're dont know enough abt KPOP, dont be rude! Just like you confirm yourself as a rock fan but dont know abt Queen or a pop fan but dont know MJ =))) In fact, BIGBANG Taeyang is idol of many famous young idols nowadays including Lisa and Jimin.
