'Why' was filmed in L.A. If you like beautiful MVs like that, you should check out Taeyeon's 'Stay'. It was filmed in Morocco. Absolutely gorgeous MV as well.

That guy with her (in a polaroid photo) at the end is ‘DEAN’ (and also the guy she hit on the spreading sauce scene) He’s a K-hip hop, r&b artist that featured in this ‘WHY’ album. They have a song together in this album called ‘Starlight’ and this song also has the MV that connect to the ‘WHY’ MV. Maybe you can check out this song later. Hope this help :)

The scenes with boat docks were some marina south of LA (maybe Newport?), but the other scenes were inland in the Palm Springs/Palm Desert/Coachella/Indio area. Very film-friendly areas.
