I sooooo get you! On me it feels tight, yes, tight! Not mosturizing at all, no dewyness, no suppleness - just tight. I was searching all over to find somebody not giving it rave reviews, it’s pretty damn hard. Everybody loves it, my skin just doens’t get it. It doesn’t work on its own or on top of Dermopurifiante. I just really don’t understand it. I wish I loved it.
I had a less than stellar experience with it and few of their intensive and essential creams as well. They kept drying my skin and making it dull...then I discovered the reason: They all contain “bad” alcohol, Creme Masque Vernix especially. It’s very high on Vernix’s ingredient list, and a little further down the list for some of the others. Granted, most contain good alcohols as well, but the “bad” alcohol far outshines the good (at least for me). “Bad” alcohols, such as denatured, benzyl, SD-40, isopropyl, and those simply listed as alcohol, destroy the lipid barrier and cause premature aging, dry skin, dehydration of the epidermis, etc. Biologique Recherche will argue it’s inclusion is necessary to allow the other ingredients to penetrate deeper, but there are other, safer, gentler, and more modern ways of increasing efficacy. Good alcohols (fatty alcohols), will never be listed as just “alcohol”, they’ll always have their descriptor listed before (cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, cetearyl alcohol, behenyl alcohol). These condition the skin, act as moisturizers, and can aid in protecting the lipid barrier. I love Biologique Recherche, but I have to be very careful and do my research (be vigilant, it can be difficult to track down FULL ingredients lists for several of their products). For example, Rescue Spa, Aida Bicaj, Toska Spa, and most other BR retailers have “ingredients” tabs for each product, but the lists are FAR from complete and only list key ingredients. The only retail site I’ve found which has comprehensive ingredient lists, is Ciel Spa...BUT they don’t carry all of the products, so there again we fall short. For the products not carried by Ciel Spa, I’ve found that combing through reviews, Instagram photos, YT, etc, are the best ways to find accurate lists, as many of them contain photos right off the box. It’s frustrating at best, considering how important transparency is in regard to what we’re putting on our skin...alas, I keep buying BR because the products I DO like and which are free from “bad” alcohol, are amazing! Now they’re reformulating several products, so it’s likely we’ll have an even more difficult time finding accurate ingredients lists😣. Such a conundrum, yet I continue to buy the brand😆.
I hear you! BR does not land in the 'clean' category by any means. But they do have some pretty amazing products. But also some not so stellar products. I do know that some of their products made for the USA have ingredients that are banned in Europe and Canada, thus not in the formulations made for other countries. Alas, this is true for many non-USA brands that sell in the USA. Foreign companies will make sub-par products with less-than-safe ingredients and sell them in the US. Why? Because they are cheaper to make and our regulations on "safe" ingredients are archaic. When I am buying products made by foreign companies, I often try to buy from the country of origin instead of from US sellers. That said, I do buy my BR products from a local spa...
I've tried a bunch of their products and my favorite so far by far is the Cream VIP 02. My skin craves it, and it does all the things their masques promise to do: fixes acne, lifts, brightens, makes me look ten years younger. I can't live without it: which is unfortunate as it is $215. I do like the Masque Vernix for my t-spot.
This cream was amazing for my extremely dry skin. I wear it overnight and the tackiness is from the lanolin. I put a thin layer on and it does dissipate after rubbing it in and it doesn’t transfer. i would not use this for daytime use.
NO! This creme is NOT IT! Used it in 2 different occasions as an overnight creme and woke up the next day with seborrheic dermatitis on my face and neck. My skin is at it's best right now and I will try one more time tonight in the jame of science and the $$$$$ I spend on this creme lol 😭😭😭
I had the similar experience until I mixed it with other cremes. I cannot use it alone because it leaves my skin feeling super sticky and kinda tight. However, mixing it with creme placenta, creme dermopurifiante, creme verte espoir, creme fruits (don’t remember the whole name lol) or other BR cremes did the job. I did not like mixing it with PIGM400 because it would leave my skin feeling weird because PIGM400 feels like a lighter creme.

@@mojorabbit3286 I usually do it at night but since I spend most of my time working from home I sometimes do it in the morning. I use it as a creme but I’ve heard people use it as a mask but I love the combo so much that I don’t want to wipe it off lol
Do not use it as an overnight - I tried this a few times and also tried to use as a day cream and found it really clogs my pores. Trying to figure if it is worth trying it as a just a true mask but want to see how to do this.
I’ve also got quite mixed feelings about vernix, my esthetician convinced me that it’s their best selling, but I still don’t get how the texture can be so sticky? Like for which purpose? I put vernix mask in the evening after using my lotion p50v, noticed the redness on my face disappears almost right away after using the product, but this stickiness ... is still very disturbing

BR is a smelly line for sure. But I don't tend to mind the smells. I much prefer the 'funky' scent of active ingredients vs. super floral additives that some companies use. I find many French brands (Dior, Givenchy, etc.) in particular add intense floral scents and it grosses me out. Who wants perfume in their makeup or skincare products??? LOL. Try evening mix PIGM400 with Vernix. Morning the skin is glowing and soft like a baby popo. For morning/day use it is not, not for my oily skin, here you are right. Creme Mask Vernix smells like banana. My honest opinion is that you have a glowy , typically "Biologique Recherche" skin but on camera you are speaking bad about BR products which everyone who tried, loves?! It is weird, buy all this pricey products and all time say that they are bad and they don't work and you don't understand why on RU-vid everybody likes BR? In my opinion it is weird and not honest at all. 🤷♀️ Why don't you review some products you like? Isn't it weird? It's weird...
Hi Syuzena! Thanks for watching my video. I am sorry if I come off as unappreciative of BR. I love BR! I just don't love every single product, and I have tried A LOT of them. Not every product is for every skin type. The products I don't like might just not be for me, but are great for someone with different skin. So maybe I need to do a better job of talking about my skin type before I present a product I like or dislike. I will try the evening mix of PIGM 400 and Vernix as you suggested. Thank you! I have never heard of this method and am happy to try it!
@@mojorabbit3286 Try to mix and only in evening. Maybe you have a good skin and you don't notice big changes. Bc you have a good, clean, glowy skin. Lotion P50 is the best toner i ever tried , we haven't the strongest version , with Phenol , in Europe, here is allowed , but i'm happy with P50. I have oily mature skin and all products works. Every product does what it claims to do. For my skin it works. But yes, one day i feel more oily, another day i feel like i need more hydration, so few different Lotions P50 , i have all in small bottles. And few serums and cremes. PIGM400 is not moisturizing for my skin, it is more "drying" , that's why i mix with Vernix .Try, maybe you will like it.
I completely disagree with this comment. If you have watched Mojo Rabbit's other videos, you would know that she has shared both positive and negative reviews of BR products. I would find it suspect if someone only posted positive reviews or only posted negative reviews of a product line. Since Mojo Rabbit has posted both, she seems very genuine and honest and I enjoy her videos.
@@prishalaghari4723 Probably. But i use the products and for me every BR product does what it claims to do. ( seems like for many women too) . And, yes, Creme Mask Vernix can use like mask, this is right. But it works. If it doesn't work on Mojo skin , it doesn't mean that the product is not good or unnecessary ( for me it is the evening creme which i am not going to replace and i'm on the end of my 4th jar yet). Same was with Lotion MC110, it is not necessary to apply it, here is ok, but it works, and you can see even on video how one plum was one side of the face.
