@@yasasrikalluri9565 No, College assumes that you are a computer layman and many of our batchmates are doctors or doing a biology based degrees so there is no such requirement.

The girl in the video has successfully captured the emotions of majority of the students (Ik because i am enrolled and had got to know about the course from Etisha Di's channel) enrolled in the programme although a follow up interview after the duration of the course is over would give a true impression of how well the course actually is. This program is very challenging. Not from the very fact that syllabus get harder overtime. Its about self motivation and eagerness to learn which has to come from your side. This course will see way more dropouts than usual courses. But if you complete this. This will be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life.

@@rachit5762 Buddy its upto your passion and interest. Read more about Programming, Artificial Intelligence, machine learning etc. See if it’s making you interested. Other than the prospect of having a high paying job is that you have to see if you really like something you want to pursue. To me this one of the best course out there if you wanted to learn Data Science. IITM has made sure to make this a great program. But nevertheless, there is other colleges you can pursue similar courses and also enjoy your time being in the college. This course will always be there. You can always opt in incase if others doesn’t workout for you.

@@pranav_pradeep I have some doubts: • I have interest in programming, etc. Will this course be good for me? • I belong to a middle class family. So, the placement factor is very important for me. Will iit madras help me in getting good placement, and is it guaranteed(if I work hard enough)? • Can I depend on, only this degree for getting me a good job? • Should I, or should I not, pursue btech Computer Science, from any other private college, along with this?(if yes, than why exactly?) • Is it more hard, than qualifying jee mains exam and exactly how hard is this, for someone who has interest in this field? • I am all in for gaining knowledge, stills, etc. but the most important thing for me, is getting good placement. • What qualifications do you have, and how successful are you? (I seriously don't mean to sound rude, or anything. I am just, really worried about my future. Hope you understand..)

@@rachit5762 IIT Madras doesn't give campus placement ,but they will guide you for off campus placement Or you can pursue 1year master degree in data science after bsc and get a high paying job Bcoz data science is an emerging sector

You would have got much more views in this video if you removed the word EXPOSED from thumbnail. Exposed is mostly used for negative things...and no one wants to hear negative about a degree in which they already are or just about to be enrolled.

They are not exposing, they are boasting about this IIT madras Bsc degree. These type of interviews don't expose the reality of IIT madras Bsc degree. They absolutely didn't talk anything about placements because they know there won't be any. Creating more jobless computer science graduates. You should only eat that you can digest. This is the harsh reality of this IIT Madras online Bsc degree and recruiters are not stupid. They know that these thousands of students do not have required industry skills and they do not came to IIT through JEE advance. Who do you think they would pick - B.Tech computer science graduate who came through JEE advance or this IIT Madras Bsc graduate who came through extremely easy paper conduced by IIT Madras, which thousands easily clear

There are a lot of people who are saying that the course is easy after giving the qualifiers. IITM has done this to make the entry-level open to everyone. SEM 2 onwards things start getting real hard....

I get a sense that the girl being interviewed has a very different take than most other students. Perhaps coz she has a CGPA of "9". But I can assure that this is not the view of the majority of the students studying in this course. Perhaps because we are "average" students and do not get the support that we need. In fact, I have personally been scoffed at multiple times by the instructors for asking "stupid" questions during doubt clearing sessions. It is very humiliating.

I just cleared the qualifier exam. My doubt is that the exam for 1st year (called the Foundation course) will be held at home or at certified centre? And what will be the frequency of those exams (called quiz)? Do I have to go to centre to give exam once a month or once in 4 months??

How is the placement in this ? Actually I'm done with my 1st bsc at fergusson clg but due to some personal reasons I'll not be able to attend the clg so searched for a online course which gives a placement guarantee . hello di...hope u don't mind calling u di...actually i just wanted to know that i a second yr dropper for jee 2022....i just went through this vedio...and found this course interesting......toh since maine koi college join nahi kia hai abhi atak toh agar mai sirf iss online course ko persue karta hun....and i m think ing of building my carrier in this field...toh kya mujhe problem hogi kisi bhi tarah ki yaa phir i should join some college...and then side mai iss course ko karun...thoda confusion hai hope u can suggest me something ....and sorry for writing such a big essay....

I have also enrolled in this course . Studying at IIT was a dream and now it came true . The efforts of our Teachers are non-doubtable . They manage every possible was to make learning easy and smooth for us . Events are organized regularly and the most the most important think is , we don't feel like being an online student . Sounds cliche for few but after completing the course we'll also be an Alumni of IIT Madras .

"Studying at IIT was a dream" , why it was? cause getting in IIT is tough. (this is coming from a guy who is studying in one of the top 7 IITs in core branch), and what happens when 7000 people are enrolled in some online course, claiming to give IIT degree? IITs are considered good institutes cause the entrance is overly competitive, those 2 years people literally slog day and night, go through a cruel counselling process, and then land a seat into these institutes. 100+ chapters, 1000s of concepts, 2 set of exams, jee main, jee adv, race against time and luck. 2 attempts, and you are 16-20 year old when you crack it. It is not "IIT" tag which make these institutes great, it is the students who filter through a gruesome process, representing the cream of the nation, it is an emotion for us. Millions of students flock to kota, few thousand make it. No online degree, no wild card entry, no other exam, entry process, can ever take its place, IITians are those who do a penance of 2/3 years and get the trophy. Rest is politcs, and business.

It must be good for learning but not for those who want placements( to which it will come down to sooner or later). Less than 1% can expect placement so why don't you prepare for other competitive exams. And if u really want to learn than u can do it from courses on edx by MIT, Harvard and have similar course structure to this. She is coming from the side having rank 2 out of 10k students and 9+ cgpa ; ofcourse she will get placement. But even if everyone of 10k students learn whole heartedly score good then also rank will differ(not everyone can be 1st) which ultimately will decide placement. You need to understand there are approximately 100-200 students of oncampus competing for data science placements, so the chances of even 1% of 10k (100) of online students is extremely less.

Nowhere there is 100% placement. Only the toppers get the best. Even in competitive exams, if you are topper, you get to choose what you want; else you are listed in what they give.
