Well, being Greek, that is mentioned quite often in class ( I still go to school so I know ), there were other 700 non-Spartans if I remember correctly so maybe the propaganda is recent ( towards other countries ) and not ancient?

"Who hails from... the Scottish part of Greece?" There is an explanation for this. When a Greek play would be performed in England characters from Athens would speak RP English (to represent the prestige dialect of Attic Greek that Athenians spoke) while characters from Sparta (who spoke in the more "crude" Doric Greek dialect) would have heavy Scottish accents

Neel Javia Actually mass slavery was never practiced in Persia, or the Achaemenid Empire (aka Persia). The closest thing to it was semi-slaves, who were prisoners of war, and they were actually treated pretty well, with many cases they’re lives even being better than that of a commoner

Vojkan Selakovic This is not true, at least not for the Romans. Homosexuality was considered perfectly acceptable in ancient Roman society. In fact, there is no word for "homosexual" or "heterosexual" in Latin; only a "dominant" and a "recessive" partner. I can't say the same for the Greeks, but I seriously doubt that, even if they condoned homosexuality, that they actively _encouraged_ it in their military. I could be wrong though, but OP has yet to deliver anything. Edit: Just looked this up, the Theban militia used to encourage homosexuality in order to boost morale. However, they are also the _only_ ones documented to do so. As for in civilian life, its mostly analogous with the Romans.

How it's based on a graphic novel that was based on a movie that was based on Greek proganda that was based on real events. And also the "with real Greek fighting formations" "and ninja spin moves?" because that was a real greek fighting formation called the phalanx, but the Spartans never did crazy individual fighting moves. that was considered showboating and was punishable by death. people were supposed to stay in their ranks
