they show him doing slight of hand tricks because when they escape the bus he steals one of the guards batons and uses it to take out one of the guards , there is also a scene where they show thomas jane and keegan are friends when keegan is comforting thomas jane

Re: Joe's question, When did the sequel do "make it bigger" and it be good? Aliens. The Queen was unquestionably bigger... and the movie was unquestionably amazing. Unless she doesn't count because she also runs the hive and lays the eggs, and is thus probably more than just "bigger"... maybe I just refuted myself, but, found the thought worth sharing.

The idea they joked about of the Predator trying to verbally communicate to the humans while simultaneously killing them was funnier than any scene in the movie.

I gotta say Predators was a great movie that gets no love. I mean it is literally war criminals being hunted by Predators that is the whole movie. It is a million times better then this crappy movie. In my opinion it is a great sequel to the original Predator movie. Please someone tell me why it gets no love?

Aliens is probably the only movie that is genuinely the same monster but bigger and it's an amazing movie. For the most part, yeah doing that fails so hard

Dang - I feel sorry thinking about the suffering of watching these movies but man I miss the banter in chemistry of Joe cracking up at Dan‘s impressions. Horrible for you but fun for us. Thanks for that.

1) I realy wish I could watch the extended version of this where we watch Spencer, Dan and Joe continue on about this movie. 2) and I only bring this up because its even dumber then I think people realize. the "payoff" for the dog was the fetch return thing... she tossed a thing into a truck and closed it on the dog when it jumped in after it, and the gum chewie guy was like "that was a powerful weapon" or something so then when the dog shows up again its bringing that weapon to her and if I remember correctly that's the thing she used to blow the limbs off the big guy. it was dumb and unnecessary in my mind the pitch goes something like "ok what if the dog brings her the weapon to beat the big one ... well how does he get the weapon ... ohh ok umm ok so we set it up that she plays fetch with the dog earlier in the movie and then at the end she tosses the weapon into a truck and the dog goes after it and she locks the dog in the back of the truck so that it shows up right when they need it to" and for some reason that seemed like a better idea to them then keeping the dog with her. like if I was being hunted by a giant alien maybe I keep close to the giant alien dog I befriended. I mean I don't know how the predators compare but I know a human's hunting dog can seriously mess up a human hunter if it wanted to.

Predator 2 (1990) was a great movie in my book. And I really liked Predators (2010) and some moments in the first AvP film but The Predator is an abomination to the series

This is the second time the Predator franchise has introduced Predator dogs. The characters in Predators were also attacked by “PredDogs”.

A lot of people keep saying over and over that showing more about the Predators "takes away from the mystique" of the Yautja and makes them less scary. Honestly, we've had 35 years to tell spooky, scary Predator stories. I want to see Yautja Prime already. I want a Predator movie with just Predators in it.

I agreed with most the points. I think you all should watch it a few more times (or at least the featurettes) to enjoy some of the little details hiding in the blatant detailing. P.S. the dog knew how to fetch lol.

One of the reasons Predator works is because of the suspense/mystery behind the threat/creature. They have no idea what it is, where it came from, or why it's killing them. The best stuff in that film is when you can't even see it. When you just have the thing running around in plain sight, it's boring. Especially if the characters and the plot are not compelling. Predator 2 still keep the predator hidden for long parts of the film and the LA setting gave it some atmosphere and intensity.

Don't normally post to make corrections, but starting at 31:27 Spencer questions why a Brit would be in the American military. This happens all of the time, actually. When I was in the Marines, I regularly met other Marines with heavy accents. I knew a Marine once who spoke really poor English. Not a terribly big deal, but still. Great video as usual!

I would have loved to have had Newt show up in the post credit scene! After the suit goes on the dude you could cut to a woman’s feet and pan up till we see her name tag that’s says Newt and then she says, “I can help you with that.” and it’s like adult Newt from a different dimension.

Watching this commentary really is better than the movie itself which was a bit of a let down,I was hoping it would been more like the scene where the Predator wakes up and fucks up everyone in sight.

I wondered how Shane Black could be part of a bad Predator movie. Thanks to SJnews now I have a possible answer, this movie mutated to, The Predator: The Studio Notes. So think that there is a Director's cut out there...somewhere?

Isn't an exoskeleton not just outside, but the only hardpoint for the body? so like on bugs the insides are all mush. Hard plating on the outside whilst still having an internal bone structure would just be armor like a turtle, right? And putting that under the skin would just be dumb. Oh, just realizing that fits this movie.

I hated this film so much. I loved the original so much that this hurt.
