Henry Cavill apparently agreed to play "Cavillrine" with zero hesitation. And he does an amazing job. My favorite cameo along with Chris Evan's Human Torch and Wesley.
That's a little harsh to place Nova next to the blandest MCU villains. I agree she's not the most interesting villain, but the actor was clearly having fun in the role.
Anti-climatic fights? I think when you're just seeing epic characters with healing factors fight each other eternally out of spite, I don't think we care what kind of payoff it is. Because that IS the payoff.
Is it just me or does the editing in this video feel a bit uncanny? The narrator is taking his time with longer, awkward pauses. This guy just criticised the movie for having awkward pauses for audiences to laugh/clap but that’s the exactly what he did here. Also how is Cassandra Nova that forgetful? She was so sinister and charismatic, Emma did a good job on bring her to life. She’s more of a memorable character that Weasel.
@@beastmaster6943 Oh, he'll be fine. He's got his phone company and investment company and production company and liquor company and Blake Lively.... Really can't top that last one and etc.
Yeah, because unlike the first 2 movies that were made by Fox, this is a deluted Disneyfied circle stuffed into a square hole love letter to the fans, middle finger to the rest of us cashgrab that Ryan has enough dignity and self-respect to stay away from.
he has a point about it being a little awkward in No Way Home but they had music in Deadpool & Wolverine for the cheer moments so ahhhhhh come on bad critque right there
I mean, it pretty much sums up my experience of the movie... It was an ensemble of fun part, a lot of funny jokes, a good send-off to the Fox universe, a wonderful performance by Hugh Jackman, and very well employed cameos. But the plot made no sense. Breaking off the main couple off-screen just pissed me off when the two first movies were basically all about reuniting Deadpool with his girlfriend. The first two movies are far more timeless and enjoyable even if you didn't get all the references. And while I don't agree that Cassandra Nova is forgetable, mostly due to the actress' performance, she does come a bit out of nowhere and her plan makes no sense. The fights were great spectacles but amounted to very little story-wise.
I had a great time with this movie. It was violent, funny, and had heart. Everything was nerdy and there's nothing wrong with that. Plot holes in multiverse stories are expected when different mediums are applied. It's a fun trilogy movie that tries to not just jump a shark, but ride it soaked in gore and nostalgia. 9/10.
Shawn Levy actually directed all 3 Night at the Museum films (Hugh Jackman even got to do his wolverine thing in the third one), the 3rd and 4th episode in every season of Stranger Things, Free Guy, and the Adam Project!!! ❤
Her plan was stupid. She already ruled the void, Paradox made a move to mess that up which she found out about AFTER sending DP and W back home. The TVA were also on to Paradox at this point and the TVA doesn't care about what went on in the void. To put it in simple terms she could have sat in the void and done nothing and gotten literally what she wanted. By going after the time ripper all she did is get herself killed to achieve an objective that she already had.
That is forgettable, the point of the void is to discard forgotten characters. Her plan to rule over an empty wasteland while she was the one who enjoyed killing the newly arrived characters makes no sense. Why would she not just rule over the current world(s)? But of course that can't happen, since they need a convenient way to kill her in pursuit of power and destroying all universes.
This was much more mean-spirited than Honest Trailers usually are, especially for "bad" films. Seems like most "jokes" were not told on the usual humourous tone.
I get some of these criticisms, but saying No Way Home was better is a bit much. Yes, this is a fanservice movie, but it was some damn good service. Coherent plots and emotional weight are nice, but sometimes, you just want a movie to be fun.
Yeah, there seems to be a bit of a tired and disinterested attitude in his voice lately. I mean I get one Cinema starts to feel saturated or out of ideas, but there does come a point when you could just say "hey, this was fun!"
The whole crew working on these has been getting more jaded and cynical with time. More interested in being mean than funny for a lot of them. Too terminally online
"Time and Prejudice," "Not Another Teen Wolvie, "Jenny from the Flop," "Close-Up Magic Mike," and "Cash In of the Christ," were all fantastic names btw. 😆
"Once this era is over, there's going to be a lot of awkward silence where the Pause for Cheering moments go." Didn't Screen Junkies say the same thing about Avengers: Endgame? Guess Deadpool really is part of the MCU now. ✨
Yeah because people were going into Deadpool and Wolverine looking for plot issues. 🙄 Seriously Screen Junkies if you're tired of Marvel movies even when they're this good then why even bother reviewing them?
@@marshsundeen I mean, there is evidence to show that that's not true. It's not their fault that y'all can't take a joke and look at the things you like through a critical lens.
@@marshsundeen Were they mad it made over a billion dollars? I really enjoyed this movie, and I think Ryan Reynolds was too busy to help them with this video, so they trashed the movie. I'll take a few more of these cash grabs, thank you!
@@KAR1492There's joking, and then there's consistently sounding miserable and jaded every step of the way. This trailer honestly felt like the latter.
3:45 I'd say the Honda scene was a lotta things but certainly NOT 'anticlimactic' if you know what i meannn
Say "You know how long I've been waitin' for this? WHOOI'mabouttamakeaNAMEformyselfhere" in your epic voice, or they'll make you do this til you're 90!
