Whoever edited this and found all the clips is going to need a month vacation to avoid becoming a serial killer. That's so much freaking work for a 10min video. Kudos.
Joeys 'space play' was the longest and best joke in the show. Half a season of pretentious actors and directors, a romance story connected to it, scenes implying it was some worthy character drama and the beautiful 5 second payoff in the last scene of the entire plot thread.
when they mention joey is a human garbage disposal i was waiting for the bit where there is a cheesecake on the floor and he happens to have a fork in his pocket xD
“Chandler: an insecure man-child who uses humor to run away from his psychological issues” Say what you want about Chandler, but you have to admit he's one of the most relatable characters in TV history
@@henri191 I never understood the Ross/Rachel obsession. The two least likable characters are the ones we are cheering on? I always was way more invested in Monica and Chandler!
it was unnecessary. if we're realistic, what was the point to make them back together? just because that was the main arc in the first three seasons? because it was cute?
Chandler had the most character development throughtout the show. Big props to David Schwimmer, who pushed that his girlfriends should be diverse because the show was so white.
Who cares how white the show was? Dumbest complaint ever. There were plenty of minorities in the background, just not many in the friend group which is totally relateable
@@whitedeion598 Realistically in a group of 6 friends who are dating random people around NYC you'd see at least a little diversity in some of their dates
@@propogandalf Not necessarily. You're equating what happened with some people in NYC, that it must happen with everyone. Just because some date interacially does not mean it has to be put in every group on every TV show. Characters should not be required to match a certain characteristic. There are plenty of white people who dated white, and plenty of black people who dated black, such that this group does not need to represent every part of society.
There's a theory that all of this are PHEEBS, Fantasy of having friends and the characters are the people she was watching in the Perk. Playing outside for coins.
This is something that always annoyed me about Chandler's "friends." It's like they just wanted some reason to bust his balls and developed a callback to something that wasn't even a thing.
I probably won't say what I want to because somebody with the vocabulary and thought process of a three year old is going to attack me with, "Franz iz da best show cuz I said so. Meanie head" lmao.
Sam Souyave-Murphy I know, right?! But seriously, the way to do it would be to use an algorithm to search the scripts, index them and go directly to the scene because now you know exactly where they are.
A character who overcomes the adversity and challenges they face is almost always more appealing to the average audience than one rendered hopeless or utterly defeated by them...even if - in real life - some people overcome such challenges, and some just never quite recover...
I think my favorite of all his hand movements though was done silently. When he's locked to the filing cabinet in Rachel's bosses office. I think he's trying to pull off his shirt or something and he instinctively yanks his hand forward to do so and slams the metal into the back of his head. His expression is golden. come to think of it that episode has one of the better super quick jokes too, when he has to answer her work extension and only just realizes he doesn't know the last name of the woman he's been sleeping with. "Hello, Sharon... (gulp)... 'sss... office?"
it really shows phoebe's ability to overcome serious traumatizing life events and become a funny, loving, well adapted human being. she even got herself a nice partner who looks like paul rudd. god bless phoebe.
@@izzygarcezwe all know it wont last long. Good thing:joey development, dammit it should be joey who get love interest in s10,ross and rachel should just stay friends
@@gugupcoutinho They fight all the time because of the writers. Few Tv shows have relationships that stay solid for a long time. Because its more interesting to have conflict then a perfect relationship
I literally paused the video to appreciate the fact they called Ross and Rachels relationship the worst of tv. No one spoke my heart out better, not even me
Its because i know is monica's thing... like how u doing for joey...... could there be for chandler.... we were on a break for ross...nd nooo for rachel
Only after I saw this comment I realized the video was 10 minutes! It was just so interesting that throughout all the video I just kept waiting for them to "expose" more things
They nailed this one, but BOY were they dedicated. I can't imagine having to go through 10 or so seasons to parse out the common threads throughout the whole series. And the STARRING section is a marathon. Bravo.
Right?! I hope they roped in 10 people and took a season each or something. Looking out for pre-expected things like guest stars and catchphrases. I had to go thru 4hours of footage for a project recently and that was a killer - this would be hundreds!
Rachel trying to help start to teach her how to drive. "Mom, I did so slow down enough at the stop sign, I was on the brake!!" Rachel freezes into a sudden prolonged silence. "Get. Out."
@@aritrasom9536 would that be a completely bad thing? yeah, she would be hopeless and awkward and desperate for love but she'd make great friends and fall in love with a monica!
"Experience the worst romantic story in TV: Ross and Rachel, two of the least compatible people in entertainment history. Watch this neurotic intellectual and this spoiled anti intellectual crush." Could this be any more true??
The only logical next honest trailer: THE OFFICE Very first comment ever... waited 7+ years for that perfect moment to make history. Lets get The Office Honest Trailer made! Do it for ULTRA FEAST!
I think ill use Chandler’s write up for my tinder profile: Hi. I’m an insecure man-child who uses humour to run away from my psychological issues. I have issues with commitment and intimacy, and I make jokes when I’m uncomfortable. And I’m hopeless and awkward and desperate for love.
I don’t get how this show is considered bad now. It’s not bad. We just grew up and realized we can relate to Ross and Chandler and we all have a friend that’s Joey and Rachel. Or you are a Rachel. I do cry at everything.
It is not ‘bad’ now. It is still the most watch sitcom on all streaming sites. Its just that this new generation are over sensitive, get offended easily and COMPLAIN about everything.
@@fatdaddy1996 Exactly... and the standards were lower when it first aired. Now, between streaming, cable, and international, people struggle to watch all of the great shows (well, it's basically impossible). Friends would have made a much, much smaller splash if it had first come on today.
Until you watch anything else he was in and realize he has zero acting ability and his one character he can act just happened to be perfect for what this show needed. Lol.
@@PoleTooke I mean he may not have been a great actor but he played his role to perfection I promise you bro you could not find a better Chandler Bing then Matthew Perry
@@Cobralalalala Well it was a 10 year spanning show, and oh my god is a pretty common term usable in a variety of situations. It's not like an overused catchphrase like "check please!" being repeated over and over. "How you doin'" is more comparable.
