It's hardly a spoiler if he didn't actually say who all the initials represent.

It's a very famous theory. Imagine if you haven't watched the given episode yet and someone already tell you that R+L=J is official, isn't that a spoiler. GoT spoilers don't always have to be about deaths you know.

Anyone one who watches Got has come across this term 'R+L=J' seasons before this. It's not a spoiler as long as you only use the initials. I used to see this term all the time on the internet but I never opened the links coz I didn't want to be spoiled.

There is plenty of people who aren't huge nerds about the show and don't do tons of research on it. Even though the show has drawn attention to Jon Snow's mother and have even confirmed it, that doesn't mean everyone is still going to fully understand. The show will probably flush a lot more of the details out in the next season. One would only assume that the father is Rhaegar, but the show still hasn't confirmed that. People who don't know much about the shows backstory could easily think that the baby was still Robert's. So like I said, the show still has a lot of explaining to do when it comes to the casual fans.
