Scar was actually called Taka before his scar, which is translated in Swahili to "Trash" or "Dirt", whereas Mufasa's name in Swahili is "King".... So their parents basically just called one "Dirt" and the other "King", so no wonder Scar hates everyone and everything....

based on later stories and the book, there is a saying that Peter Pan killed any boy who wanted to grow up. the ones who managed to escape, became pirates. Hook was one of them. *EDIT:* in the first stories, Pan used to take the boys who fell from their strollers at night and burry them alive in the park for fun (only boys, cause it says that girls were clever enough to not fall)

In the original Peter pan, Peter kills the lost boys when when they got to old, and the ones who survived became pirates. Thats why Captain Hook, hates Peter pan so much.

Funny hahaha. What is the original and if you say Peter and Wendy then won't that upset Barrie's set up of how Neverland works? ' the lost boys were out looking for Peter, Pirates looking for lost boys.... Etc. More like they are expelled from the group. Most people who think that loves action and choose to ignore context clues of the book.

Sonic the Hedgehog was also Michael Jackson's favorite character as well. He also composed the music for Sonic 3 on the Sega Genesis and Sonic's red shoes are inspired by him.

Marco Amaya Some of the songs he composed in Sonic 3 is Ice Cap Zone, the first boss battles *(you can hear him say "C'mon!" Or "Whoo!" Or "Yeah!" In the song)* and Hydrocity Zone. Pretty interesting indeed. Michael Jackson has made very great and inspirational music over the years and his character and personality is platinum. That is why Michael is the "King of Pop".

Also, Robin Williams is a Zelda fan. That’s why he named his Daughter Zelda after the game series. Also, Dante Basco who plays Rufio, not only played Zuko and Iroh in Avatar. Zelda Williams played Kuvira too.

Originally "Prince Taka" *suppressed laughter* "Prince Trash" but anyways, back to business. the novel was originally "A Tale of Two Brothers" and he apparently got scratched by a horned animal. so he, being dramatic as always, asked everybody to call him "Scar" instead. +MichaelKlump yeah, I know what you mean. my theory for why that is counts on three factors. overprotective parents, too much hand holding in both school and sports(meaning the everyone wins policy and the no-cut policy), and general ignorance becoming way too abundant. it does go along with what you said about kids back then versus now. most children could handle hearing (an understanding amount of) light swearing. now we've got little ungrateful squeakers running around with smart phones. acting superior because their phone tells them all they need to know. posting numerous photos and personal information to sites that have little to zero security. +David Mendez I think what he is mentioning the irony of it all. Violence, sex, and adult material are so easily accessible now yet the children of this generation are so immature, should it have been the opposite? But I can't say that children of the past were not exposed to the same material. I agree with travis' theory about adults protecting the children waaaayy too much that they are now immature. I mean, in the past, a 13 year old kid is old enough to look for a job (and is expected to work by past society) yet most 13 year old kids in this age are brats and irresponsible.

If they did a Peter Pan movie where the roles are reversed (Peter Pan being the Villain and Captain Hook being the Hero) I'd totally see it. And yes, I know Once Upon a Time already did it! But maybe the story could go something like this: "The Darling Family believe in the stories of Peter Pan and wish to go to Neverland. But what they don't know is that he tricks children into going to Neverland so he can steal their youth which is how he stays young. John and Michael foolishly go and Wendy attempts to get them back. But in order to rescue her brothers, she teams up with Captain Hook."

I always understood as he kidnaps the boys and when they start growing up he kills them.this quote from he book specifically makes me think it: The boys on the island vary, of course, in numbers, according as they get killed and so on; and when they seem to be growing up, which is against the rules, Peter thins them out; but at this time there were six of them, counting the twins as two.

Peter Pan is actually pretty dark as a character. Because he never grew up Peter doesn't understand the concept of death and so has no moral problem with killing others or letting people die. He see's life as a game he never wants to stop playing.

I don't get what's wrong with having Native Americans in a Disney film. And I don't get what's wrong with having Siamese cats in a film and the joke being it's like they're actually from that part of the world. And I don't get what's wrong with having birds that sound like black people. People are WAY too sensitive.

Anyone else actually read the books? I read Peter and Wendy and its more fucked up than the movie. Example: Peter mild the lost boys when they get too old. He forgets about tink when she dies. He imprisons Wendy.

Well in the Original Story Peter Pan kills the Lost Boys when they get too Old . And Well there is the Theory that Hook and his Pirates where once Lost Boys and could escape . And Hook wants to Kill Peter Pan to save the other Lost Kids . Kinda makes sense bcause I mean how did grown ass man / pirates came too Neverland ? Maybe they were once Lost Boys and peter brought them there . But Well Disney made the Story way more Innocent . Well at least the Love Story and stuff .

yeah, but instead of casting someone based purely on their talent, there are instances where they will choose people of color to avoid seeming racist, which in and off it self is racist. This whole Pc culture thing is very racist, just more of positive racism and using white folk as scape goats. diversity is great thoe, it really means alot to others to see them selfs in characters. i know i was happy as hell to see another black man reping the starwars movies. "i was like hell yeah, i can dig it." how ever, knowing hollywood, im sure that was why he was casted in the first place, which was to get the response, entice POC to come and increace revenue. not saying he is a bad acter, but im sure there were a long list of other actors who could of done a better job.
