Our standards have fallen so low after Sims 4, lol. Now every time I see mostly smooth animations in mods, I have the same reactions as you xD And that's the problem, we're BLOWN AWAY for something that should be IN a LIFE SIMULATION GAME from the start. I will always sincerely appreciate sims modders and everything they give the community, for FREE.
omg yes!!😭 i just started playing sims 2 again and i was so flabbergasted to see a sim walk out her house while shielding her face from the sun rays for a bit because it's sunny out. 😅😅
The sims 4 would have been long dead without modders keeping it on life support, I am looking forward to new up coming life sims just so Ea face some actual competition, they had a monopoly on the market for far too long
You hit the nail on the head why indy developers are blowing away AAA games. They (indy) developers don't have mega $$ so they have to give the customer what they want. Also since they don't have the $$'s they have to get very creative at times making a very unique and entertaining experience.
Does this mod cause any lagging or slowness to the game? Isn't it EA's excuse that having more realist/detailed animations would cause lagging, so they keep things simple
i hate how ea claims they put out empty and lifeless packs to make content "accessible" for most devices when technology has massively improved from sims 2 days AND it's extremely common for people to have setups specifically for gaming. that just annoys me so muchhhhh I used to play the sims 4 on a busted $300 laptop with tons of cc and lag wasn't an issue. they could put in a little bit more effort
@@bunnyellabell they may make this excuse but the reality is The Sims is horrendously optimised - I'm running a high end rig (from around 2018 tbf) and this game runs abysmally. Lag, animation lag, loading screen lag, its just a laggy mess and I'm constantly in and out of the main option menu to stop the game from lagging. The amount of times I have to cheat reset the sims so they are able to go to school or work is insane, considering that its a rabbit hole experience, and even after resetting them, they may not autonomously go so I have to travel with another sim to another lot to fix the issue. I bought a few packs but not any of the newer ones partly because the game is such a mess and every new pack seems to add more bugs and game corrupting script. At this point its inexcusable; EA is a multi billion dollar corporation and they have been serving the bare minimum, and even though the bar is scraping the bedrock in hell, they manage to limbo underneath it anyway. But if people continue to purchase slop, it will continue happening
Those lags are routing errors, which is why they also don't get picked out by MCCC or BE. Routing errors are one of the easiest things to fix and one of the first things you learn to avoid in coding. I played the Sims 4 on what I'd now call a decent potato and the machine I have now to do rendering makes no difference, which is just so shocking.@@resikek1207
do you know what I just realized? The Sims FreePlay, on mobile, has so much more than the Sims 4! A pool table, a mall, a senior center, a pet/hair salon, the list goes on and on 🤯!
The only stuff that I've seen that have these kinds of intricate and long sequences is some of the wicked whims 'dlc' from individual creators. This is extremely impressive!
When EA gives us crumbs mods like this feel like a meal. Little details matter that’s why people play 2 and 3 because they feel like complete games and mods for them are just extra for aesthetic or to add even more depth. You need mods to make 4 fun and have meaningful gameplay.
Used this mod in the surfing episode (functional surfboards by Waronk). The table’s great and the animations are cute. Mod is by Utopya, listed on our channels page - the same creator makes a lot of other nice mods to check out.
But what gameplay does it add? We complain that new GP activities are just animations and the sim gets a moodlet. But this mod is no different. It’s the same thing every time. I totally appreciate the modder for making this but I’d rather EA give us real pool tables with their usual “keep it simple” or lazy approach but with random or skill-based winners than watching one animation
@refiaatmaca3008 The pool table adds gameplay to lots and other community builds that are empty. This should have been added in Growing Together for that DRY community center or in Discover University. We still don't have bands, spiral staircases, sports activities or hobbies, hotels, cars and some of those things we had in the 3 previous Sims games. It makes no sense why modders add gameplay that the Sims 4 team refuses to add or if they do add them, it's with bugs and glitches. And good luck waiting on EA to get you pool tables, something we should have had YEARS ago. Even you know EA is not going to add more gameplay which is why you mentioned having nearly 3000 mods, mostly for gameplay. You wouldn't have all those mods or need all those mods if EA did their job and gave us a complete game.....SMH!!!
@@lirpa2300 I totally agree about EA not giving us one whole package. That being said, I don't know if you're mad at me for my opinion or just EA. I also do not wait around for EA to give me anything, which is exactly why I have those mods like you realized. My GP mods actually do have GP and this one specific mod doesn't look like my type. And that's okay. Preferences, you know
Whats sad is that a good chunk of these where in the sims 3 and the sims 2. Even the sims 3 had gambling sets in the sims 3 store. The sims 4 was a huge downgrade from the previous expansion. And if they do implement these in the sims 4, theyll most likely throw them into packs or kits and charge you for them.
Just started playing Sims 3 after a decade of only playing Sims 4. In my first hour my sim played a game of pool with these type of detailed animations. I immediately understood why I keep hearing people say Sims 3 is the better game. The attention to detail is astonishing after playing Sims 4 all these years.
I love this level of detail! Looking back this is the kind of care that was put into Sims 2! I was wondering recently why when I play Sims 4 I often play at speed 3 and fast forward through activities but remember in all the previous games playing speed 1 and couldn’t figure out why, thought maybe I was getting impatient in my old age. But this brought it home to me and after seeing some old clips of Sims 2 animations you can see this level of detail used to be there, Sims in older games were a joy to watch and had so much personality, Sims 4 Sims just accomplish things with a hand swipe so it just feels stale. This week I dug out my old Sims 3 CDs and reinstalled the game after years of them gathering dust on the shelf and even though I only have two expansions there is so much to do and the Sims feel like the have so much more life in them. Yes Sims 3 characters may be ugly potato people but they are potatoes with personality. Don’t think after realising how uninspiring Sims 4 is that I’ll be going back to it anytime soon.
Now, we need a snooker mod, a pin pool mod 9 ball pool and a bumper pool mod. Pin pool : Regular looking pool table with a single pocket in the very centre, and 4 sets of 2 miniature pins set around the pocket. You must never touch the pins while pocketing the 15 balls. Bumper pool : Similar to the previous, but there are solid rubber bumpers protecting the pocket.
How come moders can come up with this but not EA?? This is mad. Why EA doesn’t put love and attention to their game ? I hate how stuff in sims 4 appears after magical hand move. Ea animations sucks! EA TAKE NOTES OR HIRE MODERS 😊
A really great animation! However, such things would be nice for creating machinima videos and other content, but I think we absolutely don't need this in the actual gameplay. Just imagine if your sims spend half a day playing pool, and imagine if ANY activity would take so long. I'm not even talking about the amount of effort devs would be obligated to put into an animation which will be triple speeded through 99% of time anyway. I'm not saying devs shouldn't put effort into the game, but not to that extent. Modders do these things separately and they don't have to support the whole game, while devs do. So it's not quite fair to say things like "devs are lazy look what modders are able to do".
Can they please replace EA with this person and other modders? Cause they're doing a much better job than EA. Modders should get paid for the packs lol.
I miss my sims putting a blender on the pool table, trying to hit the on button with a ball so that all the balls from inside the blender fly thru the room and almost kill everyone 😂😂
I love this sooooo much! Don't hate me but I think Maxis should hire the best modders because they are where it's at for Project Rene IMO. (It's beyond obvious nothing is going to happen in TS4 until Project Rene.
I played Sims 1-4 with gigs of mods & CC, until I saw Vanilla LilSimsie. For 4 years I've gone vanilla, and I now regret it. Great Vid & super mod, Satch!!
man i feel you, i mostly played vanilla because it is so annyoing to update the mods all the time when there is a sims update... but recently i felt SO bored i just got all the simrealist mods and some quirky mods to bring a little murderous spice to the game
Its these little things that matter. The Sims 2 had so much detail. And the more I think about it, thats what made it feel so alive compared to sims 4.
This mod is amazing but I don’t think we need this level of realism in the sims 4. I think I‘d prefer different animations with different outcomes over the individual balls and everything. But still, this modder did a really amazing job!
definitely not dramatic... it's the kinda activity i would send a few background characters in my storyline to do to occupy themselves while my main sim is being actively controlled so i know exactly what the others are up to until i'm ready to mind them.
I swear it wasn't until I began watching your videos was I made aware there is a divide amongst the community of simmers based on alpha or default maxis type lookin sims. Don't get me wrong I've seen some amazing alpha mods n such that people make amazing sims.... I however don't have the patience to get that many mods. I typically add a mod, it's there a bit and then I decide nah I'll stay vanilla.
When I tell you I nearly kicked my chair out from under myself!! I have been wanting this SO BAD. Pool tables & drum sets are what has been missing from this game for SO LONG omg this makes me want to start playing again. My mind is Buh-lown!
Are there no pool tables in sims 4? Or is this video just highlighting better pool table animations? Nvm, he just said there are no pool table. 😂 I can't believe that. Pool tables are a sims staple like...pools.😂 Its called racking @satchonsims "the getting the balls together". Im starting to worry about yall sims 4 players. Just come on back to sims 3. We will welcome you with open arms and help you get it working on the sims 3 subreddit (minus the the). Bc it can run like shit without intervention and maintenance.😂 But its not hollow and actually feels like a life simulation game you want to keep playing. Let the sims 4 go baby, let it go. 💙
I think this level of animation realism is necessary. I’m incredibly tired of watching sims perform the same 20 second animation for a full minute or longer. We’re on the Sims FOUR for Christ’s sake. EA makes SO MUCH money off the sims, there’s no reason imo that we don’t get this level of realism and animation already.
I hate Alpha CC but I live mod creaters and maxis max content. CC creaters are amazing. This pool table is soooo cool. The Sims 4 would never put this much effort into anything
This is the level of detail we should have had on all base game objects. (And on a side note, I've noticed Sims teleporting more, recently. Might be a result of the latest patch.)
Once again just goes to show the level of detail that's possible in the game, and what we're being deprived of by EA... It is a bit disappointing that there's only the one outcome of the game, though.
It's some Sims 2 level quality of animation and attention to detail. It's not the realism, it's just quality and attention to detail. Authenticity yeah.
This would be fine it the time management was better in the sims. I dont want to wait 2 in game hours for them to have dinner because of the level of details of fork to mouth or something
The sad thing is, this would never be useful. Because the time in the Sims is so unrealistic. It would take a Sim over an in-game hour just to rack the balls. It already takes my Sim half an hour to eat a damn bowl of cereal.
i mean, fun activities in ts4 already take hours to finish (for example bowling, darts, foosball table), sometimes sims even glitch out between their turns so there's not much difference
FUNCTIONAL POOL FINALLY I wonder if it is a conversion from sims 2 or 3 or an original animation also can i say i adore that shanice and gothic shanice are twin besties playing pool together
Does the UK say Billards or pool..because u said pool And u need to check out the romantic gifts mod!!! It's not even Sims 3 coded like this animation..the gifts mod is insane. Check it out!!
I don't need the animations to be that realistic but I do love the details. I would really appreciate if the game had wayy more animations with details than the animations it has now which are mostly recycled, repetitive and cut corners too much. I recently saw comparison video of s2 and s4 animations and the downgrade about animation details and amount is so, so sad. I think even sims 1 had more detail with animations.
Oh no, not Shanice and her inner darkness. This mod show TS4 sims models *could* use that level of animation without it taking a ton of time to execute, it's just easier for them to use the same grasp and item appears animation over and over.
