Honey Pack - The UND Podcast (Episode 3) 

I think because we were raised in certain environments it taught us to wear certain hats or mask as a form of protection, or they served us in the moment. Growing up you realize what was learned or what we used sometimes was a coping mechanism and transitioning into adulthood you realize certain characteristics, masks, etc are no longer needed where were going, in our friend groups wherever to be honest. Accepting you who you are fully is a personal freedom doesn't matter who thinks what about you when you know who you are. Seeing y'all have these conversations make my heart smile this is brotherhood, healthy, honest, holding each other accountable. ❤

All this realization and learning who you guys are and where you’re going is great to hear. I appreciate these types of conversations and just being able to reminisce on the past and recognize where you went wrong or where you could’ve done something a different way. I think a lot of times we tell ourselves that we don’t need to go back to our past to determine our future but those lessons can be brought to the present and to help make future decisions. I also feel as adults we’re hard on ourselves and it can definitely be hard on us when we didn’t grow up with that support from the ppl around us. I hate that we’re in a generation where we’re not praised for our accomplishments because ppl think it’s what we’re “suppose to do” but I also feel like communicating your needs is something that may be keeping you from getting that praise. I could go on for days but thank you guys for giving us a podcast with REAL conversations.

I wish yall would have dug a little deeper on the self reflection question. I’m glad Alo answered for yall to start the discussion. It could have been answered relating to your inner circle too. Like off of what Kentorey said, why are you an over-thinker, where does that stem from. Where you’re always in your head and it’s hard to be present in the moment or seem so serious even if it’s dealing with work. Alan carried that segment very well. On another note, I’m glad to see yall back together on RU-vid.
