Since we moved our honeybees to our deck (to be in the sun more and reduce the hive beetle issues we were having), we have noticed the lizard population exploding. We were moving rocks nearby and found a lizard nest full of eggs. The lizards (with help from the birds) keep our deck clean of the always present dead and dying honeybees. Nature seems to balance everything out?

I wish I had taken a picture when we first found the lizard under the rock. There were probably a dozen eggs. Not sure if they hatched, or she hid them deeper in her dugout.
