Most of the more severe illnesses happen to people by surprise, unexpectantly, impacting first in the brain, then in the corresponding organ which that part of the brain controls. The end of WWI had absolutely everything to do with the Flu and lung TB outbreak that occurred killing millions. In nature, the biological conflict linked with a territorial fear (just what it means-a fear in your territory, your home, your community, etc.) is a widening of the bronchia (tissue loss). Your body attempts to widen your bronchia in order to allow more air into your lungs to give you more strength and energy to fight to keep your territory safe. Stay with me.......The biological conflict linked with a death fright impacts the lungs. The lungs attempt to grow larger in order to allow more air in because breath equals life, as we all know. No breath equals death. While you are in the fear or death fright conflict, you notice no symptoms of “disease”, except you have cold hands, cold feet, you can’t sleep, you awaken at 3 AM every night, you have little appetite. During the war, millions of people were in fear of the bombing of their homes and cities where the war was most active. Fearing for their lives, their loved ones in the war, their ability to survive. The food in the stores was sparse due to shortages. This lasted for 4 long years! The longer the conflict, the worse the healing phase. Within 2 weeks of the German Chancellor announcing the end of WWI, these millions of people ALL went into the healing phase all at the same time. It is during the healing phase that you experience symptoms of illness! What is the healing phase of the bronchia widening? Severe bronchitis, pneumonia. The body attempts to refill this lost tissue and you experience inflammation, fever, coughing, body aches, fatigue, etc. What is the healing phase of the extra lung tissue that grew? Decomposing of the tissue by TB bacteria and fungi. The symptoms of this healing phase are: severe coughing up of blood and tissue, fever, inflammation, severe mucous, body aches, fatigue. During this decomposing of the extra tissue (tumor), the body expels a lot of protein, and without replenishment, severe protein loss can result in death. Antibiotics did not exist yet. If TB bacteria does not exist in a person or they have been vaccinated against TB (big mistake), then the tumor will simply encapsulate and become dormant and not harm you. Who died during the Spanish Flu? Mainly the poor who could not afford to buy meat and proper nourishment, and the people who were directly impacted by the bombings and destruction of their homes. Millions of people suffered fear and death frights during the fighting of WWI, and millions of people all went into healing at the end of it. Not everyone was affected because not everyone suffered the same way. It’s not a “flu”, it’s not something you “catch”. It’s biological, meaningful, and unavoidable. One hundred years later, a Fear Campaign begins, using the media to spread it......
I was just starting the episode and was thinking the same thing and saw your comment. I love seeing Ryan venture out from YMH (with love/no hard feelings) and even after last year's riots and all of that, he is just doing great and wanting to uplift other people. Just great stuff.

Give it up for Sam being REAL on this podcast. He didn't have to talk about dark parts of his life, but he did cause he's a real dude, I related to him, and appreciate him being himself as a guest on an LA show.
Ryan is an awesome friend to tell stories to. I wish he was my roommate. He’s a good listener and has a good heart and friend advice, at the same time he doesn’t make it too serious.
There is no podcast I would rather listen to on my long runs to give me good feels, uncomfortable feels, and make me laugh out loud. The Honeydew makes marathon training not so bad and for that I’m grateful!!
Algorithm that insane to think some how those moments aligned..they literally don't to much RU-vid during pandemic & the genius brains that like this psycho's comment..u guys are literally in another fake world we're what pops up on RU-vid is meant to be since u can't figure out your life or dont have a real one.say it with me algorithm, There is technology at work when u watch RU-vid dum dum 💩💩😂😂🤕🤢
His podcast with Mark Normand "We might be drunk" is a winner, check it out. Ripping through those on RU-vid has kept me going while Bill & Burt are taking a break.
Love seeing Sam! Saw him perform with Aziz a few years ago and had to find all the material I could. Great interview on this episode made me laugh a bunch
It would be fascinating to get Anthony Jeselnik, or others like him, on this podcast - people who don't normally get very personal in interviews for extended amounts of time.
I legit love Sam and wish he was doing more podcasts sooner or even all his own. I think most comedians get this now but I would never have known he existed until he started a show with Mark Normand. As a consumer it's exciting to find someone new you like but when they never do a pod or anything online, and you aren't from around their parts good luck. Sam is funny af and so chill which is almost weird lmao. I hope all goes great for our boy.
Wow Sam! My donar was sent pics of me that he promptly threw in the bottom of a drawer said some cruel shit and that was it. I never got to meet his family and they didn't know of my existence until he died when I was 18. When he did his sister Barbara duscovered my existence and tracked us down. So i got to ask her some questions before she became unable to be reached. She was super old ad well a.d probably died. I feel we have quite a few similar experiences. Im glad yr story turned out better🙂 Need to see more of you on you tube etc!!!!
I related so hard when Sam talked about how wierd seeing that he looked like his dad. Grew up never knowing my bio dad, not even a name until a few months ago when my husband finally convinced me to do 23 and me. My bio dad and half sister had each complete a test with 23 and me a year before. I didn't resemble anyone in my immediate family growing up (had 3 half siblings ) but seeing the profile pic for my half sister was almost shocking. Turns out I look even more like my late grandmother.
Dude I’m so hyped for your prof episode I’ve lived in Minnesota all my life still live here he’s a great dude I’ve watched every episode of the honeydew this is awesome
Im always a Sickler Fan. I just recently got into Mark Normand in the last 6 months. And I really took a liking to Sam on We Might Be Drunk. This was another Quality Honey Dew!
My daughter lived on the ninth floor in her first apartment and I had thoughts of her getting fucked up, thinking she could fly, and jumping off. Fucking awful as a parent to have that in your head when she's three hours away.
Great ep yet again! Somewhere years back I recall you or someone in the YMH fam talking about this guys suicide lady story. i wish i knew what that was from
Thank you, Ryan, for explaining what I've had to explain so many times (too many). My mother is beloved by scores of people. That's wonderful for those people. That doesn't change the fact that I think she was a terrible mother. No one's going to see this comment, right? :-D
7:48 I’m a construction worker and I kept working all through the pandi. The best thing was ‘to-go’ drinks at lunch. I was all over Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. I’ve still only met a handful of people who had coronavirus and one person who voted for Biden
At least you met yrs, it was just me and mom also. My mother was told by doctors that since she almost never had a monthly she wouldnt be able to have kids. I was definitely a surprise! And my sperm donat ended up being my uncles best buddy that he introduced to my mom. He was almost a decade older than her! She had to quit night school to raise me and i have never know a lerson more wonderful than my poor mom that faced the world head on just for me!❤ My mom qas 36 when she had me. Just me and her till i had my kids. She passed in 2015😥 My father never reached out for me either and told my mother he left two kids in a former relationship that he didn't get to see. His response to moms pregnancy was to offer to pay for an abortion!
