@@angelina79723actually he was in love with Isabel. He grieved and mourned her death so deeply that he became extremely paranoid and thought almost everyone killed his wife especially Elizabeth. He wanted his wife back. He remained loyal to her during and after their marriage was technically over when she died

Miserable was George's performance in their first night together. Came to my mind (ironically) when Maeve said in chapter 6: "that's the spirit!". Did I counted 30 secs? The fuc...ng master. Isabel could perfectly paraphrase Groucho Marx here: "I've had a perfectly wonderful evening. But this wasn't it" :D.

Actually in real life, George and Isabel did fall in love and he remained loyal during their marriage and even after her death. Anne and Richard were in love. So no they weren’t miserable in that aspect

@@kathrynorozco5416 about George and Isabel, well she was in between the centre of the conflict when George and her dad changed sides, as now her marriage to a York prince was essentially useless and she was just played like a pawn and after her dad pledged loyalty to Margaret of Anjou, well there was no way her husband was becoming a king (her younger sister might become queen however) and also Yorks might discard her and her kids if George died in battle. He might have been loyal to her but he immensely screwed up her and her kids' future by betraying his own brother for the crown which ultimately was for nothing. Their kids got killed by Tudors, son, for securing Henry VII's claim on the throne, and daughter, killed by Henry VIII during English reformation in which many Catholics were killed.

This point of view is far from being shared by the TWQ fans, but I agree with you ! We can not predict what would have happened if Edward had married Bona of Savoy as he had to do, but for sure the York family would have been more united ! However Isabel and Anne died because of illnesses, so we can't blame Elizabeth Woodville for all the bad things which happened to them aha. The Woodville family was hated by the people, and the most important mistake of Edward has been to favour his wife's family over his own (which led Richard to take the throne, backed by all the Woodville's foes). :) Happy you liked our video.

Modus et Boar Channel I completely agree your point about Isabel. But...as for Anne...even in the series or historical....she did go through trauma about her son's death. But, if we take in the series, it's more like dying of a "broken heart"....while historical...there are rumors that Richard poisoned her. So..she perhaps could have recovered from her illness...only if Richard was there to comfort her. Just like they say...emotional & mental stability eventually does affect a person's overall health.

Historically, Richard didn't poison her. It is recorded that they had a fusional relationship (like Duchess Cecily with Richard of York, Anne often followed her husband during his trips, and when she didn't, she ruled her husband's lands for him. This all testifies that he trusted her and that they certainly didn't bear being separated for too long. Finally, there is no proof of Richard being unfaithful). Anne was very close to her family (she took care of her nephew and niece after Isabel's death), so not being able to give more children to her husband was surely a great pain. I read somewhere that she might have died from breast cancer. Loosing her only child maybe hasten her death ! Some people think Richard provoked his own defeat, because in a few months he lost his brother, his son, his wife and even (some of) his friends betrayed him. It is an interpretation which could be taken into account. :)

There were rumors going around the court that Richard was bedding Elizabeth of York...and especially after his son's death (as Anne wasn't able to give him another son)..and planned to leave Anne in order to marry Elizabeth to have a heir. But..many people supported him...only because he was maried to the Kingmaker's daughter...who was much respected in the North. So..if he left her...he would lose all his support. That's why there were rumors around the court..that he poisoned her..in order to marry Elizabeth. Also...I read in one place that Shakespeare's play 'Richard 3' tells us on one instance that Richard forcefully married Anne Neville in order to claim her lands and money (so that his brother could not alone get it). Otherwise, also..Anne Neville life will remain a mystery...about how Richard 3 treated her.

George's disloyalty was epic. It is amazing that he got away with his treachery as long as he did. Having gotten away with treason with no real consequences, George must have been amazed that he was sentenced to death for executing two of his wife's servants. In the fifteenth century, it was rare for a king to execute rather than imprison a wayward royal brother. Poor Duchess Cecily must have been anguished when one son condemned another son to death.
