Honeymoon Movie Review - (2014) Horror Movie 

It was definitely something different and unique. I am a big fan of this particular genre so I really appreciated it but I think the pacing and lack of going in depth on the ending might not be for everyone.

Nerdista Hi, I think thhe biggest tips would be doing it for the love of it, if you are doing it to build a big fan base you might be disappointed because for the most part that can take years unless you have production crew or marketing strategy. Other than doing it for the genuine passion of movies, I would suggest being a consistent uploader, at minimum 2-3 videos a week and be active in the community, network, talk to people making similar videos, do collaboration videos. As an American I really don't see a reason as to why someone would view British videos any differently, we both speak the same language. I know of a few British reviewers but as far as why there aren't many big British review channels I really don't know as I think there is a big viewership base from across the pond, a lot of my views come from the UK. As far as the accent, there are American accents here too that are often hard to understand but as long as there isn't a lot of slang and people enunciate, accents should be a non issue overall as again we do speak the same language. I say go for it, but don't get discouraged if you don't become huge on here quickly and think of all the other British reviewers who feel the same way as you that you can inspsire by doing videos.

Hi Jay, thanks for the reply. It may have come across as though I want to do it for a big fan base, but I don't. I just want to do it for my love of film. I just wanted to know if there would be any issue with it as I am more aware of American viewership than British when it comes to film reviews. I agree with you about the same language etc. but people can be prejudiced and throw a video in the mud just because of an accent. Regardless, I'm going to start up later this year! You have helped me with your words, now it's time to just invest in some equipment as this is something I have wanted to do for years.

No basement in this one but while it does have some cliches it is far from typical. It is definitely something, I will give you that ;). haha thanks for the encouragement, I plan to do a mixture of horror movie reviews and horror and halloween themed videos every day this month. I have a couple Pumpkin beer reviews planned and someone suggested a couple pumpkin flavored food reviews so I will try to do those but I have a bunch of horror movies I plan to review. I do like Spannersgerm669 as a reviewer so that is a good mention there, I will have to check out some of his recent reviews, I don't think I have seen his videos pop up in my feed in a bit so I appreciate the reminder about his reviews. RyHoMagnifico Yeah, I think the pacing and the fact it doesn't overexplain things might turn some people off but for me I appreciated it and thought it really worked for the film. I'm a bit tired of the spoon fed plots in movies as of late, sometimes a little mystery is a good thing.

That seems to be the biggest complaint I have heard about it thus far from people who have seen it. I personally liked that they didn't give you a full reveal and over explain things with the ending. You know what happens and that's enough for me, I think the mystery of it adds to the film. I also think a lot of people won't like the dramatic pacing. For me I love that particular sub genre and thought this was a unique take on it. I was surprised they showed the thing he pulled out of her towards the end.

It's a slow burn build up but worth it in my opinion , not everyone is going to like the dramatic pacing and an ending that doesn't give you a full reveal but those are things I enjoyed about it

I think in most good movies they don't give u every single detail We as movie goers get everything served to us now a days

kane carlson Exactly! So when a movie like this comes along and doesn't reveal everything, I personally appreciate it. So many movies these days go out of their way to over explain and over simplify things which for me often takes away from the film. A little mystery can go a long way.
