Looking at the graphics at the beginning of the clip, I'd say this is definitely from Solid Gold. I always found it funny that they gave higher chart placement to artists that appeared on their show - Feel It Again was #7 on Solid God's hit survey, yet it peaked somewhere in the 30's on the Billboard Hot 100.
@@cowsill2x2 yes, that sounds about right. It was super early in ‘86 cause it wasn’t long after tha t Ray parted ways with the band and they soon welcomed Rob Preuss aboard.
Johnnie Dee is a great performer and a talented singer, but he's not singing live here. On the USA TV show "Solid Gold," where this clip comes from, all performers were required to mime and lip-sync, just as they did on "American Bandstand" and "Top of the Pops." The only singer I ever saw on "Solid Gold" that clearly sang live to a backing track was Michael Stipe when R.E.M. appeared on the show to do "So. Central Rain (I'm Sorry)" in spring 1984. Honeymoon Suite rocks!
