Hong Kong’s top court handed down a landmark decision on September 5, 2023, for the city to recognise same-sex partnerships. The Court of Final Appeal ruled that the Hong Kong government must formulate an official framework for recognising same-sex partnerships. The ruling could pave the way for a landmark change making the couples eligible for marital entitlements given to their heterosexual counterparts.

Gain health insurance coverage. There's many more but I don't know them all. Being married in spirit only helps if they want to separate or dont want to take part in the relationship 50/50
