Underrated gem of a game, been playing it since release, the devs really put their all into the game, especially the fully voiced main and side stories. Also the daily "grind" is super quick, doesn't take me more than 5 minutes to log in and farm everything.
I can't wait to play it~ I heard soooooo many good things about this game! And since the devs put their all into the game, that's always a good sign in my eyes. :3 And super quick dailies? That's a bonus! hehe
Dunno if anyone explained it yet (at least, not in the comments), but the dejavu/repeated trailers is because, in Path to Nowhere, you can choose to be a male or female Chief. And so, to be more immersive, Aisno make male/female trailers separately, mostly for main story trailers, featuring their respective art (but most of the trailer remains the same, hence the dejavu). And that’s a pretty awesome detail for a gacha(aside from the fact that 90% of the game is fully voice acted). Lastly, the game is super f2p, you can get free skins for both the Chief and the sinners (characters). Top notch design, great music and superb storyline.
I really like the fact that they make trailers for both Chiefs, instead of one, because then that means that both are canon. T^T Gonna look forward to playing it~ (Also, thank you for explaining more about the game!)
I have been playing this game for months now. All i can say is that the game is very well made for a Tower Defense type of games. All thanks to the main charm of this game, that is the story telling. It also has this adult-gritty atmosphere, very well paced, very tight plot, as well as a complex and 3 dimensional characters. But since this game is criminally underrated, who knows, the devs could want to rush things out to end it as soon as possible, and i'd hate that happening to my personally well liked games. So more peoples playing it, mean it is for the better. The only downside of the game that i can think off, is the fact that the devs need a little bit more time to pick the main story line up. When the first time i installed this game, the main story it self is already in the state of hybernation for months. In the meantime, the devs give us a lot of events with equally well written. In fact, one particular events was directly related to the main story, and some other also directly related to the very core theme of the game as well. Now thought, i am so glad that the main story gonna continue in the next month. Also the MC (both gender) in it self is a great character who also get their own character developments throught the game. But since if i choose a female as MC's default gender means that i could see a lot of Yuri undertones, well as simple person i see yuri i click.
I gotta say that good story telling or even just good characters in general make me superrrr happy! And the adult gritty atmosphere? That definitely makes it stand out a lot. I hope that the devs don't rush things out though. Makes me wish that the game was more popular, especially since it's very high quality (based on what I can tell from other people). I'm actually personally okay with the devs taking their time to pick the main story line up, mostly for selfish reasons. Too many gacha games to play! XD Gives me more time to slow down. I really like the fact that the MC has a lot of character development for themselves. Such a wonderful thing to hear! Personally, I'll be choosing the female since she looks soooo pretty~
Small tip - when u will be on the main screen without 'click that and do that' at the bottom under character, there will be 2-3 buttons. 3rd one with arrow will download all voicelines. Also u will get a bunch of free pulls when u will open 'event hall'. Have fun 🎉

It's a great game. I've played it when it was released. Haven't played the recent chapters, but I'll try to find time. The gameplay is like tower defense, I guess. It’s a very dark and wholesome game. I'll definitely recommend it.

They release main story pretty often but not now tho because something happened to MC in the last chapter so no spoilers (it has been 9+ months since last chapter but we did get some main story related events that are really important during that time) Be ready to ugly crying because the story in ptn is chef's kiss not only main but side/characters too :) Btw they already confirmed that they will release next chapter next month so it's a good time to join ❤ I really love devs and how dedicated they are to their game and the fact that it's their first game too AISNO is such a gem We love and support devs in this community
9+ months since the last chapter?! Somehow, that makes me happy to hear because that means I have more time to get through the game's main story. XD I really hope that I can ugly cry cuz angst is just... ❤️! hehe Wait, next chapter is being released next month?!? I don't know if I'll be able to make it to then, but I guess I'll focus on the beauty of this game, instead of stressing out about it! hehe
PtN was pretty great when I played it. I did unfortunately drop it cuz I started playing R1999 and didn't want to juggle multiple gachas lol. It does have the best farming mechanic ever for a gacha that I've played lol (you press how many times you want to farm a stage, and you instantly get the rewards, unlike other games where usually it needs to simulate or auto a fight and waste time on animations). Generally speaking, I think people that stuck around liked the roster being composed of older characters than what's usual in gacha. Easiest way to explain the gameplay is that its a tower defense like Arknights, though the mechanics in the game itself make it a pretty different game. Think my favorite event by far was the Eternal Nightmare event, mostly because it was a cool rogue-like event with alot of solid and well thought out mechanics, and added an interesting challenge especially on high difficulties since you use a group of preset units rather than your own. My favorite character overall is Dolly, though gameplay wise it would probably be Eirene.
THAT FARMING ASPECT IS SERIOUSLY SUCH A DREAM! I've been asking for that function in other gacha games too. XD I do like the fact that the characters are a bunch of older looking characters, so I totally get the appeal for that! Since it's tower defense, I might enjoy playing it, but I guess we'll see if I'll keep playing it or not since I too have too many gacha games to play and speedrun. LOL

Ive been playing the game since release. The devs treat us so well. A very generous game with imo a perfect gacha system. Unfortunately the company has bad marketing. If you havent tried it yet i highly suggest trying it. The community on this game is also very nice and welcoming and we are all willing to help newcomers.
It is quite a generous game! I've been enjoying my dailies in PtN more than any other game so far too! Quite a refreshing game... But yes, I agree. The company has bad marketing. I reallyyyyyyy want them to improve on that, just so more people will know how great this game is!
18:24 Spoiler alert Will you still think it's cute that this was the clothes she was wearing when a rival gang killed her entire family while her dad hid her away in a closet and she watched it happen. This hurts even more if you've played through the "Dreamy Bubble" event which you seemed to have missed, but it develops her character more and I seriously can't use that skin without dying a bit on the inside first. Sometime the game really does send these gut punches to you. Anyways, welcome to PtN! The main story is always top notch (although I do wish they released more of them, we get like 3 new releases for the main chapter per year), and the event stories are a mixed bag, they still tend to be good but there are a bad apples now and then. Major events (main story and event stories) gets released every month or so, it can be a bit much if you don't want to put in too much time. On the bright side dailies take like 5 minutes max once you reach a steady place and have unlocked everything, I've been doing "speedruns" and the average time for me is like 2 minutes. There is a weekly thing called BFL which will take around 15 minutes on Sunday though. My two general advice for new players is to GET NOX (shouting in your ear), she's free if you complete enough tasks within the first 14 days which shouldn't be too much of an issue. She's still one of the best characters in the game and it's a shame if you can't get her. The other advice is to not undervalue A ranks and B ranks (3 and 4 stars), there are a lot of them that are great, just like there are shitty S ranks (equivalent to like 5 stars in other games). For instance, if you go on reddit to ask for team building ideas and you don't have Che and/or Labyrinth (2 b ranks) built, basically every single comment will urge you to do so, as they are some of the most useful characters in the game.

I don't think I mind much if the events are a mixed bag since I don't play events all the time, but I look forward to playing some of them when the time comes in the future. I actually wish more games would slow down the pace they go at for their release cycles, but I guess that would be a rare wish. XD The one thing I will appreciate about this game is the super extremely fast dailies. Do you know what I have to reach to unlock everything? It's been a while since I played with a new account but I would guess it would take anywhere from a week (if you did literally 6 hours every day or something) to well, infinite if you don't play the game at all to get there. It will definitely take a lot of streams if you stream intermittently and only once in a while.
@@Trailblazer_Ririna Definitely more since you would have to interact with chat, (maybe) voice the narrator, learn the combat mechanics (It's incredibly easy for me now so I can do most levels first try even with bad teams but I've seen a lot of newcomers struggle) etc. I could do it in a bit more than a week but newcomers and especially streamers will definitely take longer.
@@Trailblazer_Ririna So I just went to another site to check so some raw data incoming. The first 10 chapters, without combat, and progressing after every voice line finishes, takes around 15 hours and 40 minutes. Considering the difficulty, this is where I expect you to have enough experience and leveled up characters unlock all the farming stages. You could probably unlock mostly everything around chapter 8, but there are 4 stages that will take you a while to pass probably around chapter 10. Considering that combat stages exist, I would double that time to get to a baseline estimate of around 31 hours to go through everything without much retries and being very efficient. Add another couple hours of retries, puzzle stages, interaction with the story and all the characters and stuff and it would definitely take longer? In the end I think it really depends on how well you understand the mechanics in the game and use your characters well. Don't treat it as a traditional tower defense (you can move characters around! Use that to your advantage) and really read the kit of some characters. Some extra stuff The story of a normal event takes anywhere between 2 to 3.5 hours to finish. Interrogations are very important to round off a character's story but you can only access them after you've pulled the character. It contains a lot of the character's back story and is usually considered a finale to their event. They take around 40 to 70 minutes. Both the half year anniversary and full year anniversary events took around 6 hours to complete with story only (They're both VERY good) Chapter 11-12 takes 5 hours to finish. (This is the latest chapter on global, but 13 is coming next month!)

Definitely an F2P game. You get the best S Rank in the game for free who will never and can never be outranked in her field. Three ‘meta’ units are B Rank and given for free. Each event also gives a free A Rank unit. If you like Tower Defence you’ll like this game.
@@Trailblazer_Ririna I cannot say how happy I am to still use Nox, the free S Rank, even to this day. To give a unit that’s so useful all the time is so nice. Plus newer players have more shops now than older players did with the game modes now added. There’s basically too many places new players can farm resources and pulls now compared to early launch.
I guess the most confusing about these trailers is that a lot of events have many minigames, but definitely an amazing game (story, art, music, etc). Btw, PTN is actually pretty generous even as a free to play.
I have to say that the mini games (ex. the monopoly one) are super fun! Makes me look forward to seeing and participating in more of the events in the future~
As for my experience the game is much more f2p friendly than most other gacha game. I paid nothing for pulls (skin is the bane of my wallet tho) and I kid you not, I have practically every character. only missing 4 S rank sinner and 2 A rank. Someway, somehow Anne still won't come to me for over a year now... plz, I just want to give you your bathrobe ( TvT)
Are you able to get all skins as a F2P player -- or is that easier to get by paying? :O But this gives me high hope that I can eventually get the characters I'm interested in~

It's just, the pull is oddly generous, not sure just a really good luck or it is really good. I can pull S rank in average after around 40 pulls. recently I get S rank in 11, -10, and -20 back to back. other content creator sharing their pulls also often get S rank around 40 I think(?). in fact with that much char in my account, I have +40k hypercube still saved. you get hypercube pretty easily too. Oh some warning: there is plus and minus to a game. The grind (time taken) to level up your character in this game is really Painful and Sloww. So even though I have most S rank, they are still untouched. Thankfully I'm just a collector. This may mean your new account progression to feel slow too.

Just recently I pulled S rank in 11, -10, and -20 pulls back to back. I watched other streamer pulls and I think they also average in around 40 to 50. There are unlucky pull I've faced tho T^T. This is why I have most of the S rank sinners and still 40K hypercube saved up! You can get hypercube and free pull tickets pretty easily too. But there is up and down to be expected. The grind / time needed to upgrade your sinner is long and sloww ~_~. I build lots of A and B sinners I love so maybe also why but many of the S rank I have is still untouched. This may caused early / new account progression to feel slow as well.
