Honningsvag, I have been there quite few times and in different weather conditions.
Coming alongside with a ship and safely departing, yes, this is considered as a GREAT achievement!
As seamen always like to say, in Honningsvag you can expect Northerly winds blowing from “all sides”…
Calm and easy-going traditional fishing village.
Honningsvag is a gateway to the iconic North Cape - Nordkapp, where most of the excursions with cruise ship passengers are going.
The bus drive to the North Cape is beautiful, passing through impressive landscapes and remote fishing villages until finally reaching the iconic globe on the North Cape.
If you did not have much time to go ashore or did not sign up for the Nordkapp excursion, then I hope this video can help you make some memories and enjoy the walk in this picturesque fishing village.
Enjoy the view.
