I can not believe some serious person chose s24 over honor which has better camera, battery, display, audio and pay much more money. Honor is far away and we should be grateful atm for their quality and the cheaper price. Great video. Thx
@@perroelectrocutadovalencia3268 If you mean AI then both phones have are just boring gimmicks. Im doing my masters in Data Science and AI and let me tell you, the real fun stuff will come in the future. Right now phone companies use it as a marketing buzzword, nothing more.
Hi Marc! Thank you for your great work. Thanks to videos like yours, I've just ordered Honor Magic 6 pro. Could you please tell me how would you compare it to S24 Ultra in terms of just daily usage and what is your main reason for searching other phone over S24 Ultra?
Thank you! I had to main reasons: 1.) In contrast to most reviews I wasnt quite happy with the image quality and found that the processing of the S24 Ultra is sometimes to harsh. 2.) I also wasn't really happy with battery life (also in contrast to most reviews). Battery life is substantially better on the Honor. Last but not least I wanted to test the Honor also for the channel :D
Great review and thank you for actually doing an in-depth comparison. I feel like more time could be spent on pro mode comparisons for manual focus in recording video and raw captures as the s22/3/4 ultra has such a great system. I am actually keen to switch from my s22u to the magic 6 pro so would love to see this tested. Also one of the biggest problems with the s22/3/4u is capturing fast moving subjects. Even after the camera assistant and intelligence options the Samsung still struggles. Would be interesting to see the magic 6 pro motionsense as it produces full resolution images.
Shutter lag is indeed an issue, especially noticeable when photographing my little one. Thanks for the comment about pro mode. I've been thinking of trying to capture the best possible photos with the phones tested in future videos, considering every flagship offers some kind of pro mode for comparison.
Great to see a RU-vidr doing some of the other phones, really tired of iPhone vs Samsung vs Pixel. You should do the Honor Magic 5 Pro vs the 6 Pro and see the differences ... I know many people would appreciate that ! Nice one mate
Great video and review. What setting are you using for macro on the s24 Ultra. I had the Honor Magic 5 Pro prior to s24 ultra. Honor nailed it every time. I must be missing something with the s24 ultra. Thanks in advance.
Nice comparison video buddy. I ahve been wathing your work and you are smashing it well done. To me the Magic 6 pro seems better almost everytime. I am testing out the 6 pro too at the moent and the camera really impresses especially the front facing camera.
It's a fantastic phone, yes! I also prefer it over the S24 Ultra. Even when using camera assistant and toning done the sharpening, sometimes images turn out quite unnatural.
Honor went for this zoom lens for the better. As you see at night, 5x zoom cameras just can't manage. The honor is so much better at mid zoom ranges. Anything over 20x to 30x isn't usable anyway let alone 100x. With the honor, the aperture at 2.5x is much wider so it let's on more light. But they've made the mp count higher to get reasonable zoom by being able to crop more. Moving the exposure slider on the Samsung won't do anything because it's camera doesn't have as much info because the aperture is so small on a 5x.
Absolutely! The 6 Pro is an excellent phone, and I'm extremely satisfied with its camera. About your comment on the exposure of the S24 Ultra, especially in reference to the night scene video, it's important to note that exposure involves more than just aperture settings. I anticipated that the S24 Ultra would adjust its ISO to increase exposure, thereby brightening the image. However, it seems it didn't make any adjustments at all...
The Honor needs to improve on the selfie and zoom, the rest I prefer it better than the S24, and overall the phone feels better in the hand and the display has a leading PWM so it helps my sensitive eyes. Last time I had the S22 Ultra I get eye strain and headaches all the time but after changing to a higher PWM phone I never felt that discomfort again.
I just changed from S24 Ultra, as in less than 3 months the USB module is damaged without to drop the phone or be in any contact with water, basically won't charge by wire ,only wireless,SHAME SAMSUNG!!!!!.Now I owe the Honor Magic 6 Pro that for sure I can say much more stylish, easy to hold, looks more luxurious than the "old" same design as the ones from previous years,S24 Ultra. The camera looks much better to me with more realistic colours plus night mode to me Honor is amazing comparing with Samsung on the same scenarious!Zooming I found the same or better for Honor!Battery charging amazing for Honor plus new Si-Ca technology comparing with over 20 years old Li-Ion,much quickeeeer charging,SHAME SAMSUNG AGAIN TO YOU!Only the downside to me is the 4 years of major OS comparing with Samsung 7 years of major OS ...but let's see in time how long I will keep a phone, will worth or no,the time you wait for a new OS!Then lack of accesories comparing with Samsung and less functions when I am pairing the Honor to Galaxy Watch!Overall is a good phone, fast 3D unlock is amazing, variable camera aperture;better than Samsung and with much better price!
Honestly you can't go wrong with both. The S24 Ultra might have a slight edge when it comes to video (8K recordning, higher frame rates, better stabilization).
I don't understand why all you vloggers/influencers compare a high-midrange phone with flagship phones. The phones with which the Honor 200 pro should be compared are the S24, Pura70, Iphone 15 and Xiaomi 14, not the ultra and pro models of these manufacturers, at least because of the price (although some of them are overrated). Some of us are looking for comparisons to decide which phone model to buy, not to see how financially strong you are, can you afford to buy 20 phone models / how sponsored are you or how good are you at comparing different things due to the lack of occupation and the desire to make yourself known in the virtual world. The comparison here is therefore irrelevant.
i really like honnor, i mean ok, they prmise 4 years of software update, let's say that in reality there will be 2 without bugs :)), but it's a really good phone for the money, it's fast and i really like the ui over the samsung. And i don't know what are they doing with cameras (ok, thare are some hit and miss) but the camera app is very fast and the transition between lenses are better than the samsung ones... For the ui i would say that all the sd8 gen 3 move the same +- 0.2 seconds, but other than that i really like also the curved screen, i hated them, but when i hated them, there was no curved glass protectors, now they exist, also as a normal user i really like the battery. so for me would be the following : for honor: Battery curved screen cameras ui that i like Samsung: S pen dex (it's better than magic one found on honnor) better software support Let's say durability but if you care by that you will get a case. (still better durability with the flat screen)
Oddly enough, when it comes to the Honor, you know that you have to/can lower the exposure manually, or change the tone of the colors, but when it comes to the S24 Ultra, you behave like you don't know you can do that too, that you can choose the natural tone for selfies, that you can use Camera Assistant to tone down the oversharpening... Pff 🤦🏽♂️
Indeed! I chose not to use a camera assistant because I wanted to compare the "out-of-the-box" quality. For a comparison video, you have to make a decision. Once you start to fiddle with the settings of one phone, it's not fair anymore. With every phone, you can drastically improve the quality once you start to get the hang of it and play with the settings.
I currently have honor mp6 and thinking to switch to ultra 24 cause some photos are too bright, or when I zoom the photo in my gallery which is already taken, I see that face looks horrible, it's like honor draws smth on my face. However the phone is good, but maybe ultra camera would be better
All chinese phone tend to face beautification , alot of then don't let u turn them off all the way. And as too the brightness the honor like alot of chinese phone use much larger sensors which come with it own pros and cons one con is u end up with brighter some time too bright photos especially if software didn't correct for it ,on the reverse u end up with generally cleaner lowlight photos because the software doesn't need to process it as much because it naturally taking in more light .that why the 5x night shot was darker on the s24u then the honor
That's true, in China, face optimization in photography seems to be a big deal. The Xiaomi 14 and Vivo X100 Pro have it too, but you have to activate it and there are many customization options.
I'm sick of Samsung now after years of using them. I'm looking to buy new phone any day now (got xiaomi 14 ultra but sent it back after 1 day) and wanted it to be the honor magic 6 pro, But I think the s24 ultra is beating this hands down... Am I wrong?? ... Any other recommendations of handsets I could look at?? ..... Budget £1500
On the slow Mo the Honor was way better. What are you seeing? Or what am I seeing. Lol. Because the honor was definitely a much more pleasing slow motion video in my opinion.
Certainly. I personally have a preference for the Honor's Slow Motion capabilities as well. When recording at Full HD 120p, the S24 Ultra produces slightly sharper images, whereas the Honor tends to display more artifacts. At Full HD 240p, the S24 Ultra's footage appears overly sharpened, while the Honor encounters some issues with sky depiction and exposure. Despite these technical differences, my subjective opinion leans more favorably towards the Honor's performance.
It's really interesting. It seems that many people are torn between the S24 Ultra and the Magic 6 Pro. In my opinion, they are very comparable, with each having its own areas of strengths and weaknesses.
The front camera is better on the Honor but the back cameras are better on the S24 Ultra. To be honest, I love the Honor when it comes to human subjects, both front and back cameras
iphone 13 user here... I think its time to change phone right now... I like the design and sleek camera at the back... All in all i like the specs. Im tired of IOS for real for real.
@@User51813 you can tell now that phones are not the same as 10yrs ago when we wait for it every year not like now.🤣 I mean every month has a new cellphone release.. Oh iphone sucks by the way im an iphone user!!! Yah yah right we know it already...
I wouldn't say that! Android has some really powerful camera phones that are better than the iPhone. For example Vivo X100 Pro, Xiaomi 14 Ultra, Oppo Find X7.
