HONOR Magic6 Pro Review 

Has the zoom camera received any updates? I really like the phone, but the zoom performance degrades quickly. Has this been improved with updates?

No it hasn't I daily one too. Up 10x is fine but never find myself taking big zoom photos often.

Not sure why I didn't like the camera on this phone. I prefer the OnePlus 12 camera over the Honor Magic 6 Pro. Also Honor Magic 6 Pro in Netflix HDR wasn't a great experience as I was really a fan of Netflix experience on Magic 5 Pro. I sold mine after 2 weeks of usage. Though I have re-ordered the phone to give it another try. I hope in 2 months they have fixed the Netflix quality.

He did that with the Huawei Mate 60 Pro when KunLoon Glass was announced. Durable but precautions still applies.

It's stronger than all other new flagships in this year, it can even survive 3m up at the asphalt as well as cement Edit- only with the one's that has the texture design for crack protection

How is the 100x zoom? Has it improve since the early release version?

@@f50koenigg I recently received a software update which mentions it included camera optimizations. To be honest, 100x zoom isn't really usable on any phone. The trump card of this 2.5x zoom with a wide aperture is that even at night, the zoom is excellent. The zoom lenses on the S24u and iPhone 15 Pro Max have much smaller apertures which isn't great in low light. When I zoom to 10x or even 20x at night, the zoom is way way better than that on the S24 Ultra and iPhone 15 Pro Max of my friends. I see why Honor did the zoom this way. 100x may not be the best but it is way more versatile in the more usable zoom ranges up to 30x because it takes good zoom pics in the day and at night which can't be said for any other phone. And I'd rather have this than better 100x zoom which is actually pointless. Because even on the S24 Ultra, the 100x zoom pics are not usable. Perhaps clearer but do you ever really need to zoom that far? One thing they did add was moon mode. So when I zoom in to the moon the picture is amazing! It's probably an AI thing but it's mind blowing and so clear.

The trump card of the way Honor has done this zoom is that it has the widest aperture of any other competitor periscope zoom lens which lets in a lot more light. It takes way better zoom shots at night than the S24u and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The zoom is really good up to 30x. I would rather have this which is more versatile and usable in more scenarios than a slightly better 100x zoom since 100x photos are pointless on any phone. It is a much more useful zoom range and lens. Also, it now has moon mode so when you zoom in to the moon, the picture it takes is spectacular. That came in the last update I got.

On our end, we have noticed through Facebook Messenger that the preview does look like it's dipped compared to the preview in the selfie camera through the native camera app. Although in hindsight, when testing on video call and switching between the Magic6 Pro and Galaxy S23; The recipient on the other line noticed no difference between either phones (lol.) --But we can see the difference through our own previews. Hope this helps!
