Dubbed “America’s most arrested Rabbi,” Rabbi Israel Dresner was one of the foremost rabbinic participants in the Civil Rights Movement's struggle of the 1960s and one of the three rabbis closest to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. When we heard Rabbi Dresner would be honoring us by attending Shabbat services at Central, we could not miss the opportunity to honor him with an Aliyah.
