That's a fun looking sword. My Ronin Katana Model #1 Longsword has a crazy level of flex to it. Very springy. I finally got around to ordering myself a Ronin Katana Model #12 Viking Sword earlier today, so it's cool you're reviewing a Viking sword. I liked the size of the RK #12.
Glad you enjoyed it. I did a review of the Ronin longsword #4 a while back. I don’t think they offer it anymore. I bet they’re Viking Sword is awesome. Hope you like it. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Thanks for showing me this sword. I wanted to buy it, but now I’m thinking about it, I wanted a sword that was more rigid, for piercing blows, but this one, alas, is too flexible as it seemed to me!
Glad I could help. The Darksword Armory Oslo I looked at a few videos ago is definitely more in line with what you are looking for. Though it is a lot more money and requires a bit of sharpening. Thanks for watching!
Apparently Vikings liked the grips short like that so they could get more leverage with the blade, they felt it was worth the maneuverability tradeoff. Probably because they would usually have a stout shield in the other hand.
No way it’s that heavy. Reliks lists it as 3.1 lbs. I don’t have any way to verify this but my Hanwei Claymore is almost 5 lbs and this one is not even close. Thanks for watching
