When I Think About Galveston Texas, I Think About The Movie "Together Brothers" That Was Filmed Here In The 70's And Was Scored By The Legendary "Barry White"....If You Haven't Seen That Movie, I Advise Y'all To Watch It, You Won't Be Disappointed.....No Doubt About It!!!!
Galveston is an island town. I have been close to 40 times and have yet to endure a hood area. The houses are weathered due to salty air and sun. Its an awesome place. We even did several cemetery tours in that so called hood and no one was even out. Also i would not consider the seawall the hood either. Looks like your just driving around the island
The crime rate is very high and there are neighborhoods that are old but there not low income areas.alot of the ghettos have been gentrified and most of the projects were tore down so it's changed quite a bit but there are still a few hoods left and believe me it's not as safe as you think and it might not seem that bad but I got caught on one of them backstreets and was robbed at gunpoint gun to head and pockets ran through I took it as a loss and a lesson learned but I was way more cautious after that and yet and still i almost got it again over by Menard park but I shook the situation and made my way out and quoccly found out that Galveston is just a creepy and dangerous city.
I love visiting Galveston, sure the water isn’t the best but the vibe is chill. I recently found out it’s heavily haunted, one of USA’s biggest floods that took many lives in the 1800s or 1900s. Guess I’m a fan of ghosts! These videos are interesting & I’m binge watching em’😎👍🏼
Yeah if u look it up it is one of the most haunted cities along with a very high crime rate.the crime has gone down since early nineties into early 2000's but it can be dangerous in some of the hoods that are furher in the bacc away from the seawall.parkland is a hood most tourist wouldn't know existed cause its away from the beach and away from all the tourist spots.parkland, crooked split,Menard park, east end 12th street and19th street I believe are the only hoods left after the hurricane and after most of the projects were tore down.galveston several years bacc when I lived there on 31st street/Menard park the hood was lit.believe me driving a car through those hoods and walking are 2 different things believe me after dark accidentally getting lost is a bad deal.really there's no reason to be in any hood in Galveston unless your looking for drugs or sleezy looking hookers.
Galveston can be a bit ghetto. I don´t think he actually drove through the worst parts. It´s not nearly as bad as some areas in Houston, but my friend who lives their gets his rims and wipers stolen all the time.
Everybody saying Galveston doesn’t have hoods def ain’t been there more than just a couple days for the beach. Mfs don’t know MS-13 runs Galveston and Galveston has so many crazy operations going on in it that nobody even notices
“ In 2020, there were six murders reported in the City of Galveston. In comparison, there were two homicides reported in 2021. “ not even close to a hood. it’s nice as hell over there. the fact that you went there for vacation let’s me know you felt completely safe.
@@bvsteel990 Exactly, just seems like a chill city with a lot of history to it. Never had a bad experience with it or the city, just the ferries to go to other parts of the island(s).
@@bvsteel990 It's a town of 50,000 with a poverty rate just under 19% that's almost double the national average. Like I said every city has a hood. Some worse than others. 5 minute video behind a camera screen is enough for you to know everything about a city I guess.
