Whether or not Patterson “looks bad” you gotta understand it’s one of the most densely populated cities in America in the MOST densely populated state. Here you’re living with ppl down your neck on top of you 24/7 it’s a whole diff mentality in Jersey trust me
At least the streets are not cluttered with trash! Kids playing outside, people hangin out, talking, laughing, plenty of Independent businesses! Just an old city... Not like Camden, or Newark! Seems to be peaceful !

Good shit, Charlie. I think your Jersey videos are my favorite so far. Every city in Jersey seems to be active from Camden, Newark, Trenton, Paterson, and Jersey City.
It's sad. I worked at Barnert Hospital in the early '90's as a Substance Abuse Counselor and lived across the "bridge" in Fair Lawn. Paterson has just never gotten it's act together. The same failed ideologies, low to no expectations and enslavement to government sponsored slavery continues to this day. And this is the result.
The areas shown here appear to be mostly multi-family or apartments with no yards and not much in terms of architectural sophistication. Definitely much more densely populated. Contrast what is shown here with the real tragedy of Detroit where much of some of the beautiful family neighborhoods with spacious yards, large single family homes, unique architectural design, quality building materials like brick, and such have been burned out and abandoned, and as CharlieBo has shown in other videos, returned to nature.

@@RIPdixiecarter like 60% of it is. There are very affordable areas with little to no crime. Where I grew up it wasn't so bad at any point of my adolescence. The borders of the city are very friendly, but the as of late, people from the lesser safe parts are starting to wake up and move to the nicer areas.

When I was visiting jersey my sister needed to go their rq and when I tell you that place is hood its hood🤦🏽♀️ boarded houses, junkies on the side of the road, police yellow taping, kids on the streets selling stuff to make quick money, abandoned houses vandalized or being used as hide outs. Man go to that place its crazy

i've been visiting paterson since i was a kid, have some family there. not the greatest area and they did get robbed once but it seems to have gotten a little better.

Paterson nj is a beautiful city, the only city in the entire United States with its own water falls , we have Lambert castle up on Garrett mountain, the first colt gun was manufactured in Paterson, the only city in the United States u will find a liquor store , barbershop and a bodega on every block , I love my city , been in Paterson for almost 40yrs and definitely not leaving , it's home , I love u Paterson nj. Btw the only city where 4th July fireworks starts June 1st all night long lol but that's Paterson.
Jack Jackson , a lot of these NJ cities seem to have little, if anything, going for them. At least they remove the buildings when they burn down. Lots of Paterson house fires on RU-vid over the years.

every large city has low income areas, higher crime areas..this doesn fully represent Paterson. u driving thru broadway, east main... 10th ave, river street... and the back blocks...wack.
I like these heavily populated small towns people see the size of a town being a population thing but it's not always the case i mean some towns have small land territory but alot of people living in them like here in paterson 5mi2 population roughly 150 000

Deberían de poner algunos nombres de las calles o de avenidas que cruzan, ya que los que alguna vez vivimos en una de esas áreas o de esa ciudad ya no nos acordamos de muchísimas cosas y de los sitios que frecuentabamos.Y miramos estos videos, para refrescar la mente y así poder disfrutar mejor del paisaje que estamos viendo.
