thank you for mentioning tips & gratuities! it makes me sad that the crew don't make much money and are away from their families for such a long time, and yet they're expected to provide such superior service to other families. mentioning names on comment cards is SO important!! this is how ppl get promoted and get raises!
Yes!! Although it takes a few minutes out of our cruise and it feels a little inconvenient, it’s very worth it for us to take the time to do that! The crew are incredible 😊
Eric loved Hook’s Barbary! I agree about the crew members. They work so hard and don’t get much time off for months and months ….and they are away from their families. I encourage people to remember that they are human too. Also, the almond croissant is my favorite thing in Palo. 😂😂😂
I mean… there doesn’t seem to be a reason to disallow it, but it’s their ship, right? Not a huge deal for us, since we have just done it once. Still a bit of a bummer though.
The beautiful glass/crystal ware is from Murano, one of the islands of Venice. We traveled there three times and the beautiful pieces that they make are out of this world.
I loved Donald's Cantina!! I wish I had tried it earlier in the cruise so I could have had it more!! also I completely agree about the survey card, the service is so amazing and I love getting to know our stateroom host! Our SRH on this cruise was so great! and we found out that he was on a trial basis as he wants to move to from the pool deck to SRH and Disney gave him a chance for our cruise only! I made sure to tell them he was amazing!

Just got back from my Wish HOTHS cruise yesterday. Got the yellow spirit jersey, green polo, wish mug and ornament you showed. My husband went to Hook’s on our at sea day. Aladdin was incredible. We happened to have Ivo too and he did his magic to get us Mickey churro waffles our last day. Thank you for the tip! Our assistant server said she works 10-14 hours a day and she was going back home to Ireland after our cruise and she sleeps for the first too days so we were happy to tip extra to the staff. Fantasy in the spring so time to rewatch your Fantasy videos.

Loved the vlog, Chris is the best in the vlog talking about the old fashioned. Hopefully my Dad and I can cruise with you guys by chance one day. I would get along with you all seeing personalities. Too bad you couldn’t make it too Hook’s for a drink, it’s only open 5:00pm-8:00pm. Palo Brunch 💯. Palo on Wish is my favorite. Hopefully you’ll try The Rose one day
So interesting about the glasses in Palo! My family thought I was a bit crazy because I loved the water glasses so much! We have only been on 2 cruises, but the service is what brought us back and why we are booked for a 3rd! We will always have a budget line for extra gratuities. I do not feel that the required amount is nearly enough.
We are going on our first Disney cruise in October and being from the Uk the gratuity is new to us and wonder if you could provide some guidance please x
I would suggest a basic shave for a simpler experience, unless getting a facial sounds like an experience he would want. The crew in there are great and it is fun to hang out in there!
Have you guys ever did a Christmas cruise with Disney yet? I would want to know your feed back. Because I want to do either a Halloween on high seas or a very merry cruise. Which one is better in your opinion. Love your videos you just got a new subscriber. Can’t wait for the haul. ❤
We have not done a VMT cruise yet. We hope to do one someday, but the timing is really hard with Carrie‘s teaching schedule and our girls school. Wish we could give you better feedback for that. Thanks for the sub!
Please help me be prepared for the extra gratuity aspect of the trip. I am more than happy to tip beyond the pre paid amount, but I need to be prepared for the amount and to whom we should tip. I know it can vary, but a range of an additional amount would help me not worry. Thanks!
This is always a challenging subject, as there are different factors for each cruise. Different amount of days, different experiences with different crew, and different budgets. We don’t have a formula we use. We know what our budget is, and we bring a preset amount based on how long the cruise is and then distribute it at the end of the cruise as we see fit. I wish we could help more, but it really is a range that you need to feel comfortable with. Understand there is no expectation to give more than the standard gratuity, so anything extra you give is always great. We can tell you is that you will have at least four people that you want to be ready to give extra gratuities to. Your stateroom host, your head server, and your two table servers. The head server is the crew member who is in charge of a section of tables. We also bring thank you cards, treats, and a little extra to say thank you to other crewmembers ago above and beyond in their service around the ship. Hope that helps!
Love your videos! We can’t wait for our next Disney cruise in May aboard the Dream in the Mediterranean. Your girls are so adorable and maybe they should do some videos from a teen/girls perspective?

I really despise that comment card!!! I want to have more room and time to complete it! Why doesn’t Disney have the survey as part of the app? I would love to be able to praise the CM more!! That paper form doesn’t leave room for many comments. I also want to take more time to complete it as you get it the day you pack to go.
