no, no, No NO NOOOOOO! Buddy Joe Hooker was NOT just Kurt Russel's stunt double. The Stuntman Mike character was an homage TO Buddy Joe Hooker and his peers. You kids talk about him like he's just some stunt driver. He was/is THE WORLD'S GREATEST STUNT DRIVER! (and a helluva nice guy) He's been in everything! Deathproof, while certainly a cool movie, was just a tiny part of his incredible career. Thanks for the cool channel.

It's great to see one original stunt Nova car that actually SURVIVED! I didn't know that one was THE car Russell drove; I always thought it was the wrecked one that rolled. Still, shouldn't have took the plastic box off. That makes the interior so cool. Also, you guys have a nice Nova, too!

How have I not seen this up until now? I loved Death Proof and Planet Terror when they came out was such a huge fan. Always wanted to build a Nova or a Charger like Stuntman Mike drove. Jon nerding out may have been the best part of this video though.

Its pretty common. My wife is a bartender, and a regular is a medical assistant on movie shoots. He bought the 1990 Bronco from the new Halloween(Myers steals it after escaping from the transport bus) for $60. Granted, not near as badass, but cool none the less.

It is to me, too. In GTA V, there is a car, the Vigero, that I can get it very close to the Death Proof Nova as possible, by putting matte black paint, armor, roll cage, bulletproof tires, and then doing the indestructible car glitch. Put Invincibility over that, and it becomes essentially this awesome muscle movie car.

well i dont think a delorean can even do a burnout on stock motor with the engine in the back and pretty low power. though a engine swapped or tuned one would be sick indeed

big mel Delorean was a pretty shitily built car, and hard to maintain in general, Back to the Future did that car a favor by making it look fast.

I think you're right. 0-60 was 11 seconds... 132hp... my old Ford Mondeo MK2 had 131hp, it weighs more than the DMC-12 (!), but takes 'just' 10 seconds from 0-60. And even that never felt like much. Well, because it isn't. lol

Deloreans were not "Shittly built" they were amazingly built, just had the wrong engine, S4 Official ask any delorean owner, you will find they rarely have problems with anything, it is just the engine lacks grunt...

I love Nova's. My '70 Nova has been off the road since 1996. One of these days I'll either get back to work on it or sell it. Currently all stock with a 307 backed with a PowerGlide. Has just over 43,000 miles.

Cool Beans! In highschool (Sr '81) my daily driver, a 1974 Nova hatchback sporting Cragar S/S rims & Monroe air shocks for that rear end lift. The jam back then; Foghat "Slow Ride", AC/DC "Highway to Hell". I miss the simple days...

I drove Tarantino and asked him about the hood ornament. He said he found the actual mold for the Rubber Duck hood ornament in some Hollywood warehouse and had them cast for the movie.

id like to request a moments silence for my fallen comrade, my stock 1993 nissan sentra wagon. you were my first car, my first clutch drops resulting in 1 wheel peels, and a few other firsts i cant disclose, all performed in this 70hp fwd beast. although technically its not totaled, as i crashed it at a solid 15kmh, i am but a 17 year old unemployed high school student, so unfortunately i must say goodbye and farewell to the most faithful, complaint friend ive ever had.

93 sentra 1.6l coupe. was my 3rd car. Loved that thing. Had to scrap it because the door quit working and 5th gear went out. engine always ran like a champ.

Not to nitpick but you can't bore out a 350 to a 383. It takes IIRC a .30 overbore plus the crank from a 400 small block to do it. Also you can put the 350 crank into the 400 and make a 377. Both are very popular.

I have that hood ornament on my F100. It wasn't cheap, but It's available from the original designer's offspring in real chromed metal, or on Amazon in various plastics for near nothing. The base must be custom made for the hood.
