1970s TV show "Harold Lloyd's World of Comedy" (Time-Life) featuring clips from Harold Lloyd's silent comedy films. Here is the link to the playlist of the other 13 episodes I have uploaded on my channel: • Hooray for Harold Lloy...
I believe there were 26 episodes total. I'm not sure what episode number this particular one is but it features segments from the films Hot Water (1924) and Bumping into Broadway (1919).
Show features narration, sound effects and jazzy background music.
My apologies for the fuzzy picture quality. I videotaped these episodes off the antenna in yhe early 1980s.
Yes, the films are truncated but for many people this was their first introduction to Harold Lloyd and silent films in general. By all means seek out the uncut versions of these films. They are well worth your time.

Great introduction to Harold Lloyd. Like others here I remember seeing this at 6.00pm on BBC2 around 1979 - 80. Most interestingly when they showed clips from Feet First & Movie Crazy (both talkies) they took out the sound - it worked but ofcourse you could see the action was moving more slowly. At the time I had a Super 8 projector and would get digest versions of films on Super 8 for birthdays and Christmas. The following birthday I got two 200ft digests of Lloyd in Safety Last & Never Weaken along with King Kong (33) which seems kind of apt in retrospect.

I remember watching these in the early eighties, I loved the music but in those pre internet days I drew a blank trying to find out who the Crescent City Jazz Band were, and whether they had released any records. Fast forward 20 years and I then found out that the music was actually by session musicians, and was recorded in London. 'The Crescent City Jazz Band' was simply a made up name to fit with the style and era. As far as I am aware the music hasn't been released commercially. As for Harold Lloyd, I have a box set of all his features and shorts, but I do like to watch these compilations, they were my introduction to Harold and also hold a nostalgia value.

Weird, same here. The fact that I can remember the theme tune note for note after around 40 years is scary, yet I can barely remember why I searched for this video.

I remember watching these growing up i was born in 1971 every tuesday at 6pm on bbc2 i loved it never missed an episode probably why i loved the greats when we had them.

#Leenock same here, I was always glued to bbc2 on Tuesday evening at 6pm. I would gladly go back to those days. Also they use to have laurel and hardy film shorts on bbc2

Same! They used to show these on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon back in those days. I was a little kid at the time (early 1980’s), but I always remembered these shorts and that Harold Lloyd theme song

Hello and my thank you "Unreeled" for making these great videos available to watch. I watched this series when it first came on TV in Portland in the summer of 1977, while we were on vacation, and laughed myself silly watching Lloyd's comedic genius on display. So do I. Back when tv was exciting, varied and interesting. Not the bland, woke, mindless crap it is now!!! We had 3 channels in the early 80s that finished around midnight and didn't start again til around 7 the next morning, and they were brilliant. Now we have fifty thousand channels that run 24/7, which are a pile of shite!!! Nuff said I think 🤔

Sí, la película se llama "Safety Last" de 1923, donde trepas al edificio y te cuelgas del reloj. Creo que se puede encontrar en RU-vid.
