My grandmother had one of these once it had the word hoover on it in big lettering and i just remember five year old me being so fascinated by it and i still am to this day unfortunately i can't remember if hers had the powerbrush or not though
i've also found one of these on the curb it's one with automatic tool conversion but the hose was torn it needs alittle work but it works realy good other than the hose being torn i tried cutting the end of the hose off to try to re attach it .
Yeah. Once again, goes to show that a simple and proven design shouldn't be messed with. The newer ones with the on-board attachment hose... The hose always tears. Yet the original basic model seems to have very few problems and with a bit of maintenance will last for years to come.
@michaelisbell I don't see why not. it just puts it down on the carpet, scrubs it, then sucks it back up. I just use the generic wal-mart brand cleaner.
No, I don't have the attachments. I'm probably going to get a set from eBay to clean the car and the steps - I don't have a pet - I bought the Bissell for my parents for their dog. I found the Hoover in the trash. My opinion is that the Hoover does a better job than the Bissell, although the Bissell has built-in attachments.
I already have a vid posted of the Kenmore Power Spray... My parents have a Fantom Thunder At least I think they still have it - they are using the Hoover Concept One and the Oreck that I found. I'll try to make a vid of the Fantom Thunder in the next few days.
oops. oh well lol i found it in the trash so if it breaks i'm not too concerned. I'd think the only reason it would say that is that as the oxy clean makes bubbles, it pressurizes the tank. i don't think it would harm it though... but if the manual says don't use it, then don't. it would probably void your warranty.
