I lover mine had for 2 yrs and is the best I ever had and I had the really expensive dyson that was heavy as hell and couldn't use it right was bad This one is the best

I'm never gonna purchase Hoover like these again. The hinge at the base is flimsy and broke after about a couple of months. Have had nothing but trouble trying to find a replacement part. Even partswarehouse which i always turn to cannot get a replacement. Its a problem with ALL ( I guess all) brands of these uprights. Previous to this we purchased a Bissel upright vacuum with the same problem. A tiny plastic piece acting as a hinge after many open and closing will, and it does break off. According to Hoover its classed as a "major part and something we cannot replace"...... what!! Its the bottom half of the canister which can be detached and washed!

A HEPA filter by design requires replacement over time. It will require replacement filters. However the HEPA filter isn't a feature of the vacuum as much as a portable air filter attached to the base of the vacuum.

Please don't confuse the prefilter for the HEPA. The prefilter is the blue disc at the top of the debris container. The HEPA has a activated carbon screen and is located in a drawer on the front base of the vacuum. Do NOT wash the HEPA filter or the activated carbon screen.

@@adam10532 Dude, it was a fake Ebay account. Lol Around 200 people fell for it including myself because it was a great deal. Three days later, eBay contacted me and refunded my money.
