Mad Max returns in HOPE AND GLORY. In exchange for gasoline Max takes on a dangerous rescue mission.
DISCLAIMER: This is a fan film. No profit is made with this movie.
Over 3 years in the making, more than 275 filmmakers from 5 continents joined forces on this non-commercial project.
The release of HOPE AND GLORY is meant as a cinematic “thank you” in honor of what Byron Kennedy, Doug Mitchell and George Miller created. A movie with real stuntwork, real cars, real explosions and most importantly, real heart.
We fell in love with the idea that George Miller, as the creator of this cinematic world, can enjoy a MAD MAX adventure as an audience member for once.
Since we are really looking forward to FURIOSA, we wanted to shorten the waiting time with our tribute and return to the Wasteland.

@@brightstonepictures yeah, not only Mad Max game is beautiful in visuals and atmosphere and also great in gameplay and mechanics, it also perfectly understands the Max and the universe. Finished it once and planning to do a second run on Deck or when I buy an ultrawide display.

Creating the hyper-realtisitc and brutal but also intimate and vulnerable sonic experience for this trailer and the (short-)movie, was an inspiringly intense, hyper-emotional, almost psychedelic dance on the edge to madness and a double-barrelled shotgun full of fun.

@@richj6596 The first one was 100% about Mad Max's origin, the next 2 were about his life after becoming Mad Max and the 4th one was kind of a continuation of his life in the wasteland including Furiosa. All amazing IMO.

i did not expected two movies out of mad max world this year. you got me absolutely hyped now also, spoiler alert, but if i'm right, this story was covered in a comics which expanded our knowledge on the mad max world. Can't remember where i found therm, neither what their name were.

I rewatched all of the maxs, a cpuple times while finally playing the Mad Max game on PS4... My Last viewing of Thunderdome...I prayed that Miller would do a final chapter for Mel Gibsons Max, before he dies. A Raggedy Man ending suitable for the Max legacy. its good but the #1 rule for casting anything Mad Max is someone with Mel's facial appeal. You need a rough looking man with beautifully shaped blue eyes. Remember that scene in original where max walks up and cam zooms in. And all driving scenes. Mel got the eyes.

Encouraging effort! But even as a fanfilm a trailer with only one car crash / stunt scene is not enough … even if the overall look is great. Is there more car action in the full film?
