It's insane how many people want this game to come back from the dead. I hope Blizzard and Microsoft can team up to make something happen. Every person, even people who haven't played it, recognise that it is one of blizzards better games and it deserves a second chance!
To be fair the game did get a second chance, that is what HotS 2.0 was. The real problem was blizzards ambition in competing with other big MOBA titles.

Should have just focused on making the game fun and the competitive scene would have grown organically.
@@Tylerrrrrb The issue isn't people not recognizing that it's good, the issue is most people never even tried it because the streamers didn't like the beta back in the day. People just need to install the game and give it a try, many would stick with it.
HOTS to me in unmatched in terms of fun, competitiveness and creativity. I have played each and every MOBA, but there are none that compares to the fast paced fighting, obj strats and pure fun and creativity within their hero designs.
@@UnStop4ble that's why I said hots to me is unmatched. I like the difference in strategies you're able to take. From delaying objective, half starting obj into lane pressure, pure bum rushing core during an objective, or forcing fights based on your comp. At the end of the day you like what you like!
After they murdered HoTS officially, and I watched Arcane... I gave league a go, and I thought Aphellios was really cool, and I still think he's one of a kind in league, but man... There's loads of those in HoTS. HoTS felt like a work of art within a game, and not a lot of games do that anymore.. Everything except general chat and ARAM balance (that or I'm dogshit) is amazing .
@@primal4887 League is very limited in their creativity I won't lie. Everything sorta goes into "this was made to counter this" rather than "You get to play a two headed ogre with two players cause it would make sense!" "You can be a whole giant dragon!" And they limit the healing from others etc. it all feels amazing, especially some of the maps feeling so much like their respective game universes!
I think putting HOTS on Steam will give it new blood and a chance to get back in the market! Also this would allow us to play it on a Steam-Deck easily. =)
@@mahavalo6270 To be fair, Valve haven't given a damn about TF2 for about a decade now, the game has an active playerbase despite Valve treatment of it, not because of it. On the other hand, DOTA2 is actively maintained and developed.
To clarify what's going on with those ARAM XP changes, that's a bug fix. OG players like Grubby will remember how the old XP system worked, but for anyone who didn't play back then, or doesn't remember how it worked before, the way you used to get XP worked differently. Before XP Globes were added, you used to passively be given XP as long as you were within range of a minion as it died. This made it easier to safely soak XP while in lane, but it did require you to stay in your lane, rather than be able to rotate as aggressively as you can nowadays. When they added the XP Globes, this old system was removed. But it wasn't a global system that they could just toggle on or off to change how it worked, it was a property of the individual maps or the minions spawned on those maps, that they had to go around and change for each map. On the ARAM maps, there was some kind of bug that caused the old XP system not to be turned off. Minions dropped XP Globes, and you got XP from those globes just like how the game works now, but you also gained XP from being nearby a minion as it died just like the old system. Both XP systems were happening at the same time, you've been getting double XP and probably never even realized. People did realize it though, and for the most part people liked it that way. ARAM games are meant to be fast paced, and there's only 1 lane worth of minions on the ARAM maps, so double XP seemed like a good way to make it work better. The bug remained unfixed, because it was viewed as a feature. Those lines in the patch notes are them fixing the bug, but they're keeping the double XP. They've removed the hidden XP gained by the old system, and added it to the XP Globes so that you would gain it by the system as intended.
Oh that’s good, way too many companies would just fix the bug and make it worse because of that. Glad to see them fixing the bug but adding in the good function at the same time. Though it’s to be expected that any employees working on HotS are going to be ones who care about it.
@@Broockle if thats how u feel like. I find farming fun, and a huge skill. Watch him going for farm, Punish when stuck in animation, farm better. Do i sacrifice farm to help ect. And snowballing taking over the game solo also almost impossible in hots. And that is the drug i need.
@@ZipzZzzz5 In HotS I feel like we get to skip the boring first 20 mins that LoL makes you do 😆 You get your first 3 abilities at level one and you're not forced to stay in one lane. Sorry to say if you prefer LoL or DotA2, but to me the last hitting is excruciatingly boring, always has been. And the 1 player that carries the game in LoL is also BS to me. The tank that is forced to get a gold heart to keep up with money. It's so strange to me. Instead in HotS you gain exp for your whole team. So you can have characters that specialize in farming exp so their assassins can get more kills. It gets the whole team involved and everyone appreciates each others efforts more. I think it inspires less of a toxic cesspool that you get in LoL all the time 😆
They said they were going to release a SC hero after Hogger, so I'd love to play as Selendis, her abilities would be similiar as the Adept. Also a protos themed map would be wonderful but that asking too much. I'm also overdosing on hopium.

Just before they ended development there was a nearly finished Arthas rework. If they might be resuming development we might finally get that rework! :3
HOTS is legit my favorite moba - the amount of iconic characters, all the different maps with different objectives... God I wish I had more time to play it
I think a really cool hero would be Mannaroth! Or the other elemental lords like Neptulon to fight Ragnaros. Could be a full season of Elemental lord bundles

Something REALLY important to note: The more recent patches also created new bugs by mistake, and Blizzard was SWIFT to fix those bugs as well, meaning there was active development put into fixing new bugs that became problematic. The chance of this game coming back from the dead is much more than a non-zero chance.
@@NiekVL kind of, but not entirely. She's got arcane orb, and wave of force are kind of like arcane explosion. But those don't really act like their wow counterparts. I'm looking for things like arcane blast and arcane barrage, the real meat and potatoes of the arcane spec.
@@KamBartt naaa, medivh's abilities are much more focused on his abilities as a guardian. The gate, the ley lines, his raven form. Arcane rift isn't even a mage ability as far as I remember, and neither is force of will.
One of his ults can be the AOE frog polymorph. That shit is crazy OP when you try to raid Org for the faction leader kill lol. Vol’jin can be cool because Shadow Hunters are a mish-mash of like 3-4 other classes, so it’s very open to using any abilities they want.
@@LoudWaffle my idea for Vol`Jin would be having his basic trait "Embrace of the Loa" where he shifts between different Loa and that affects his basic attacks and abilities.
Chain Heal and Hex are both in the game already with Rehgar and Brightwing's polymorph. A hero that uses the Serpent wards would be cool to see. The big bad voodoo ult isn't that interesting though, just makes allies around him invulnerable. Shadow Hunter would need to be reinvented quite a bit, would be awesome though. 😀
If you haven't seen it yet. Take a look at the PTR. A lot of the changes in this patch are alterations or trickle ins of a massive coming vision rework. There was also a shadow update today that included some changes from it, mainly dealing with ability displays on the store, for heroes who have a bonus spell on their 1 key, and icon recolours. Edit: The PTR also has massive changes for cleave and primarily bounce attacks. Zul'jin's lvl 20 got the update this one but no others. In the PTR. For an attack to bounce vision is required(Chain Lightning, Blessed Shield, Ball Lightning, charged attacks, ricochet, surprise for ya', etc) being the things really effected by this.
I think these reveal updates have more relevance to bushes and vents than just the stealth mechanic. Previously, it was possible for Uther to DStorm someone standing in a bush but for them to remain hidden. Now, this should no longer work that way.
I would so much love for this to be not just a deep inhale of copium. Fingers crossed! In our family HotS is a favourite moba hands down. And it’s a good game too. ActiBlizz really did it and its community dirty. Why gut a product, which brings a steady income (as ActiBlizz quarterly reports suggest) and keeps a sizeable community, is beyond me. HotS might have never been on the same level as the juggernauts of the genre, but it had (and still has!) its audience, and not a negligible one.
Because actiblizz was focussed on one thing and one thing only with hots: The competitive scene. Which was goddamn stupid because HotS at its very core was always designed as a casual MOBA first and foremost... A moba that trimmed all the complexity-fat, so to say, and just focused on the absolute core (and best) part of the genre: Fun hero designs and teamfights.
I'd like to see some rogue representation with either Garona Halforcen or Tess Greymane. Also Mekkatorque or some type of goblin alchemist support would be cool.
the Overmind replacing the core, Mannoroth, Zappy Boi(thus named) An archmage that picks his/her spells per level, like they can spec into frost, fire, or arcane specifically, or all the elements like Khadgar does

Baal would be awesome, saw a few cool ideas for him on the forums over the years. Spawning stationary tentacles that act as body blockers and turrets essentially. I'd love to see Duran/Narud added to the game, maybe with a Neeko or TF2-spy impersonate ability.
I only know Diablo characters from Hots as I'm mainly a SC2 player and it never occurred to me that they didn't put big name Diablo characters in the game lol.

27:01 Diablo isn't hard. He's very easy to get into, you smash an enemy into the wall throw him behind you so your team can kill him. Very simple. What's "hard" is to know when to go in and where to be as a tank etc.. Which basically applies to every hero, having the game experience.
I honestly think it would be super cool for a character mostly known in Hearthstone to be added to HOTS. Someone like Reno Jackson, for example. It'd help with pulling a new audience.
We need an Ashbringer, any of the wielders would work. Turalyon and Alleria would also be really cool to see in-game. Thassarian, Bolvar, or any of the four horsemen from the DK storyline as well as just more DK skins in general, Sonya's DK skins are superb. Would love to see the rest of the dragon aspects get expanded on. Not that I know of a good character that would fit of the top of my head, but a version of the Vengeance (tank) Demonhunter since we have the Havoc spec thru Illidan.
I am so hyped... maybe it's just copium but I really hope they bring HotS back, there was such potential in this. Does Microsoft currently have access to a MOBA revenue stream? If not maybe they'll want HotS to potentially be that MOBA to get a piece of that pie. I'd like to see Cairne, get some more Tauren representation. If we get a new hero though it would probably be something notable from the current games, like diablo immortal, diablo 4 or retail WoW. What I really want to see is hero reworks again. Make probius an actual probe please, not this weird kind of mage.
The last few characters that came out for HotS were pretty nostalgic. Hogger, Deathwing, Malganis, Mephisto, Whitemane, Deckard, Fenix, Maiev. I think their character releases were less motivated by pushing certain ips and more just by having good ideas. They'll totally do another Tauren if they have a good idea. Initially they just made all the playable classes into characters, from Diablo, WC3, WoW... Not sure what kind of Tauren you can make if we got Thrall as a Far Seer already and Rehgar as a WC3 and WoW Shaman combined with Shadow Hunter. E.T.C was pretty darn creative in that department already, he was initially just an easter egg in SC2 😀. I think they started off with a WC3 Tauren Chieftain and realized there was nothing to work with and then focused more on the rockstar aspect. Turned out great. 😆 I wouldn't know what direction another Tauren character could take.

Basically you're the taco truck, u never dismount, you can throw tacos on the ground, allies that pick them up slowly heal over time and have a movement speed buff as they need to find the bathroom. A few seconds after picking up the taco they deal aoe dmg around them in relief. W is the hot sauce hose which sprays in a straight line. All enemies in it get a movement speed buff, but if they don't drink from a fountain within 15 seconds they take extra dmg from the hot sauce. Hot sauce has extra benefits to allow the taco truck to drift on. If the taco truck drives over hot sauce he has much better turn radius.
A Hots dev confirmed on Reddit that Selendis was next in line after Hogger. It'll most likely still be her. About the ARAM change, the thing was that ARAM was using both xp systems at the same time! So the old one, where you collect xp when a minion dies a screen away, was active at the same time as the current xp globe/last hit system. Now it only uses the new one, so last hits from range like azmo still grant xp (but non-last hits don't) but they doubled the xp gained from globes or lasthits to compensate.
I've been waiting vor Lady Vashj (or any Naga Sea Witch, but as I only played WC3 my connection to her is strongest) since release. Would SO love for her to finally join the game =O
There's one, maybe two changes I want to see: Imperius. Give Imperius a baseline Holy Fervor. 1 attack cleave. (Does *not* need the 30% bonus.) 15 second cooldown. (Remove the AoE from Flash of Anger.) Imperius notoriously has a bug (and general difficulty) meleeing his target after landing Q. Doing this would at least alleviate the bug. The second change I think should happen is to make Solarion's Brand a quest objective for Burn the Impure. Make it based on procs so that you'll complete it somewhere between lvl 16 and 20. This frees up lvl 20 for more important 20's, but also makes up for his surprisingly low lvl 20 winrate.
I would like to see any healer/tank from Overwatch, like *Kiriko, Zenyatta* or *Moira* because they can offer to healer players new playstyle and tools, same like *Sigma, Reinhardt, Winston* or *Wrecking Ball* . Beside of OW heroes, memorizable characters from WoW _(that they are not already in hots and I would be happy to see them in the game)_ are *Cenarius, Queen Azshara, Velen* or *Ysera* . From other games is *Lilith* number one for me.
D4 had some cool boss's and updates on boss's from Diablo 2. Like the new Duriel and Andariel. Have one of them or even Lilith in hots seems solid. Bait aside, super interesting to get an update to the game at all.
Oh, man... I used to have Christmas-like lists of heroes I wanted in HotS pre-2018 😅 Don't really remember much... but Overmind from StarCraft and the Old Gods and the Sha from World of Warcraft 😄 I had similar lists for new maps 🥔

One really amazing idea for a character a friend of mine had when we played once was Queen Azshara, where instead of picking just an ultimate at lvl 10 you get to pick either to ally with the legion or the naga, just like she did in WoW. The oppotunities for this are pretty much endless and it just fits so well with the character
Always happy to watch one of your hots patch note reviews. I agree with your theory about steam, etc (Fan has said this as well). I just hope that they maintain a healthy community until I have time to play again. I think there’s a good chance we get new crossover content, a Master Chief skin for Jimmy is one of many easy wins. My absolute long shot prediction is that MS puts enough into the game to use hots to promote the Blizzard game catelogue (maybe with a small esports effort, or promoted creator content). Maybe we even see new cross-over heroes, who knows?!
Another hidden update i noticed right after the patch, there are some changes on some icons in the game. First thing i noticed is a change on Tychus's Level 16 called Sizzlin' Attacks, he now has a burning sword instead of the black and red sword icon. Now i can be wrong but Diablo's Level 1 talent called Soul Shield has now also another icon.
In my opinion they should invest some love in maps. Maybe include some gm players for ideas and balancing. A changing map pool was always one unique selling point for hots. I am still waiting for the return of medalions. Maybe making objective bound.
Still waiting for Mekatorque, who has been in the fridge ever since Hots began initial development. Also Baal and Itherael in order to be able to have a full 5 demon vs. 5 angels battle :)
I started with DotA, joined the fun for HoN, settled in LoL for years, with occasional DotA 2, before HOTS came out and I felt stumped. HOTS is like the lazy and easy going version of mobas, you can always jump in for a game or two while the others leaves tons of pressure. Happy to hear something going on for HOTS!
The only MOBA with variaty of maps/objectives which changes from game to game, and each hero is more suitable for certain levels. Too bad it stopped, I really would enjoy the sequel and make it my main online game to play.
I would love to see Grommash Hellscream added, it would be cool to have an ult like darius or axe but with other abilities that are in the characters nature, maybe like a mash of bruiser/berserker
That Aram change is actually really smart. Almost every aram match just comes down to which team has more artillery heroes, so they can just chip down the other team without taking any hits themselves since resources are so thin. Now that xp requires that you be near the wave, tanks are more of a necessity and melee based team comps are more viable since they'll level faster than the ranged caster comps, unless those casters have a tank of course.
They should definitely add Microsoft Clippy! Popup (q) traps player in a popup box until autoattacked once Knock screen (w) small double knock back Bike away (e) turn into a bike and dash away after 0.5s at 130% speed for 2 seconds Dazzle a player with helpful hints (r) aoe stun for 3 seconds
Love how HoTS were "more team based" than other mobas, and by that i mean, people level up at the same time and not one person carrying a whole team cos they got fed and could buy full build of items really early, felt more skill based than just "this champ is op with some kills"
HotS was great, the best really. In more over, was a great place to test abilities and introduce them to the audience before they go into other games. Many many abilities and ideas have transitioned over into wow and diablo ++.
HOTS was honestly a very surprising game for me from Blizz it was actually amazing how they were able to make a MOBA that wasnt toxic and actually fun to play.
Bruh sharing EXP is what made hots toxic in the first place. just have your top lane kerrigan go 10 deaths in 3 minutes and your entire team is down 3 lvls
Mimiton. The boss from wow WotLK raid, he had three phases where he fights you in different vehicles and then does some Voltrol stuff and combines them .. Always thought that had so much creativity potential since he has so many fun forms , can be a hero like Varian that branches into different roles as he lvls :)
The best MOBA to me by far! I love not having to focus on last hits and buying items! And like you said the games are pretty fast too. Also I find it easier to come back and win in Hots compared to dota2 .
We still need also fix maps and update report and punish system. But i whoud prefered at least 2 hero per year. They can start Lady Vajsh, XT-002, Lilith, Fyrakk, Kiriko, Raffam and more :D
XT-002 Destructor is WoW mechanical boss in Ulduar whit "soul of kid" and if remember good have same voice actor like The Kid annoucer. Also his voice lines voice lines whoud work for him in HotS :D@@GrubbyTalks
Crossing every limb I have in the hopes of a revitalization. It's still the MOBA I've had the most fun with by far, and it's still my most played multiplayer game. @11:22 Vol'Jin or Rokhan. I want any Shadow Hunter at all, though the WC3's Shadow Hunter already has it's key abilities spread out in the kits of other heroes. I grew up with WC3 and played WC2 afterwards, so even though we have a forest troll I still want to see some Darkspear tribe jungle trolls represented in the game. Warcrafts take on trolls is in my opinion the franchise's most unique addition to regular tolkien-esque fantasy.
I think someone with an ability like shadowraze would be good fun, racking my brain trying to think of a good candidate for the move + what it would pair with abilities-wise though
I love this! This game still has so much potential and Phil Spencer knows it. Microsoft just spent over $69B and sees this as an opportunity to squeeze out some juice from something they probably feel was mismanaged. MOBAs are still huge as a genre and HotS has huge brand IP recognition. Resurrecting the game on Steam probably costs very little and has potential to make a lot of money for MS. Makes so much sense.
Not just that, but they can now possibly expand the game to include Microsoft properties too. I'm surprised Activision didn't think to throw in Spyro or Crash Bandicoot, as they owned those too. Make it a true, massive crossover, take some of that hype that Smash Bros used to have
They need to fix the shop and monetization of the store to make this a viable push. I truly hope they will be successful and re-launch HOTS. Hots 2.0 was such a disaster because of what they did to the store and basically eliminated any incentive to throw 10 or 20 bucks after the game every now and then and thus no steady revenue stream and thus no reason to keep alive. Fix the store, make a new currency and sweep all currency from accounts and give no reimbursement. Gamewise they need to do something to draw back old players. Either hero, map and/or ideally change something to increase skill cap. Fresh start.
I am not a big fan of Overwatch heroes either. However, I have always thought that Reinhardts kit would fit perfectly in HOTS!. I would love to see a Reinhardt tank.
I’ve always felt more OW support heroes would have some great loadouts for Hots. I’d want to see a Baptiste or Brigitte. Especially since I hate healing; with most of the healers we have.
i hope they do give it more love in the future, I'm mainly a dota player, but I respect and value hots as being the the main MOBA that isn't afraid to do really wild character kit designs: i.e. you'd never really see anything like cho'gall, or abathur, murky, or even something like ragnaros becoming the tower in the other mobas. the multiple different maps also help keep it fresh in a long session.
Everyone I've ever talked to wants elemental skins for rag, water, wind, etc. I care much more about playable content like characters and maps (haunted mines when?) but if they're going to bring it back adding more skins would be the easiest, flashiest thing to bring people back on top of more solid content.
I know it can be painful to dream... But let's not forget that Microsoft has un opportunity here. They can prove this acquisition is beneficial for the players. We love dream matches. Doom slayer vs Diablo, Master chief against the Zergs... It couldn't happen otherwise. A steam launch with a new trailer and a bunch of new iconic characters and you tell me people wouldn't want to play the game! 🤯
There is 1 single change that I would like to see above all others, and that is that they make it so that you can play ranked games with people that are unranked in the current season. My friends and I never play the game without eachother and sometimes someone gets left out of a ranked session, which means they are excluded from any further ranked games we play during the season. They can't be bothered to play them by themselfs, it's just way less fun that way.
You can get heroes in chests too. I have not played particularly much. I had all unlocked ages ago, and I only bought one pack that I think had Sc heroes or something forever ago
While I realise theres already one Windrunner in HoTS with Sylvanas, there isn't really a Wow-Themed Markmanship hunter type character in HoTS (closest probably being Hanzo?) so I would personally really like to see Alleria Windrunner added to the game. Both because she is one of my favourite characters from WoW but also because marksmanship hunter is one of my favourite specs in the game, and it would probably be pretty easy to make abilities for her with potential hunter abilities like aimed shot. explosive shot. rapid fire. disengage and they could use the Artifact ability from Legion as one of her ultimates or they could play more on the void powers she gained at some point and give her some void themed abilities
I started during the early beta and was f2p all the way to the very end, you aren't wrong about the number of hours you have to sink in to unlock all the characters lol. Maybe it's apples-to-oranges, but something that came to my mind when you were talking about the rate of development, one hero per year and all that, is what they did with Diablo 3's seasonal cycles after the game was essentially put on life support. It was never directly stated but community speculation was they had like one guy in a closet somewhere for *years* all the way until the last couple seasons leading up to D4 when they were trying to build hype. But even in that time they still made minor little tweaks, added some interesting mechanics to give variation between the seasons, and so on. Idk what that would look like for HotS, but while they are continuing to keep the game on life support (and sell things in the shop) it seems like something that has precedent even internal to Blizzard and a way to help maintain the community of die-hards. It really doesn't take much to keep people who want to keep playing the game sticking around, you just don't make them feel like they're playing abandonware.
The new hero may be from Starcraft 2: Horace Warfield was a Terran Dominion military officer and was commander-in-chief of the Dominion Armed Forces during the events of the Second Great War. we got a tease of his arm being replaced by a mechanical one that converts into a cannon. Yeah, just like Mega man.
This patch gave me the inpression that someone is looking at the game and doing a big cleanup before getting started. I noticed a couple of changes, but nothing really game/meta changing. Will there be a new heroe in the near future? I dought it. But the game doesn't even need a new heroe to stay interesting. After hogger there have been alot of balance changes that changed the meta, which kept the game interesting. Warcraft 3 does the same thing.
I would like the Diablo 2 Sorceress, element : Lightning. Q : charged bolts -> point blank burst, moderate ranged AOE W : lightning -> moderate dmg in a straight line , pierces through heroes and minions E : energy shield -> increase mana regen by 50% and consume 2 mana per point of dmg taken R : Teleport -> grants 3 charges of teleport with 20s recharge CD

This makes me have hope for a return to Heroes of the Storm in the future, and you may be right too. I cant find it now, but I remember it as Phil Spencer told with the purchase of Activition, that he would work on reviveing some games. Spyro have if I remember right a 4th game like Crash got "Its about time" on the way. I really hope for HotS to be one of the games he had in mind.
I find it hard to share Grubby's optimism, but I still hope he's right in the end. I never found a multiplayer game I had this much fun with again. By now I am down to only playing an ARAM once or twice a week, but would be ready to get back in the swing of things right away, when development should continue some day ...
If you go to the voice lines in HOTS you can see there are voice lines that are from heroes not present in the game, that makes me wonder they have new heroes coming to the game.
This is the start of 'Rise of the Storm', the resurrection of HOTS. Hero wish: 1. The Overmind - core replacement 2. Khadgar - Something like Invoker from DOTA 3. Shapshifter druid - Cat & Bear forms can be change from assassin to tank
for shapeshifter druid, I think Varian's friend from the comic, forgot his name, could be a good candidate. Heck, valeera was originally just a comic-only character alongside him till they both were introduced in WoW, Hearth, and then HotS
HOTS is easily my favorite moba, I really hope they put it on steam I'm sure it would explode in popularity, the only reason it never did so well imho is because the beta went so poorly almost nobody gave the game a shot after it had been out for a bit. The reason I don't play anymore is because of the small pool of players and mostly the lack of balance patches, a moba needs balance changes to shake up the meta, doesn't even matter if they're bad honestly, as long as the shake things up and keep it interesting. If there were regular balance patches or at least new players I'd pick it up again immediately.
Grommash Hellscream, Saurfang, Baal, Lilith (fitting to accompany the new Diablo), Wrathion, Tosh and I don't know how they could implement him, but Mengsk, maybe Mengsk would be similar to Abathur where he doesn't fight directly but is in the air supporting his team from his Ship and there are objectives on the map that when destroyed "kill" him making him unable to support his team.
I went to the first collegiate tournament that happened in LA and that's where I got to play it for the first time. I played for about a year afterwards and then the occasional game every month or so. It was a fun game that I thought would be popular for its relatively simple game play compared to other MOBAs. Shame it wasn't as popular as I thought it was going to be.
There was another patch this week, and they also added a new PTR to the game. This seems to indicate a plan to develop for the game longer term again, as adding a PTR would be pointless otherwise. So there's some genuine hope for people wanting to see the game revived now!
I miss the hell out of this game. I really do hope it makes a resurgence and in a big way. I cant play league anymore it has rotted my brain. This game was way more fun, although not as intensely competitive, I found myself wanting to sink hours and hours into hots. Played it for 6 years. A shame what they did to the game after HoTS 2.0 (which was a huge update for them and a major jumping off point for the game) After they dismantled the pro scene it was never the same. I was also not a fan of some of the XP changes or healing/dama changes of the game, forgot exactly when it happened but before 2.0 you used to be able to have these kind of long, drawn out fights where a team would be able to sustain a 5v5 even if they were down a talent - (level 9 vs 10, 12v13, 15v16) But something happened and they made changes more snowbally. You cant fight down talents anymore at all, you just pretty much instalose, regardless of mechanical skill. I thought that change was a feelsbad, but the game overall itself I miss deeply. New hero I’d like to see? Anyone but overwatch universe tbh
New support hero, Bob the Bartender (for hearthstone battle grounds fans). Increase treasure gains, heals and buffs other heroes, and even hires minions for your team
