Does anyone else remember in TVD when Tyler was sired to Klaus and Damon says "It's rare" and then when Elena was sired to Damon, Caroline said "It's rare". Lol and now Lizzie is sired to Hope. Hmmm being sired doesn't seem to be so rare after all lol.

Tyler case was rare because there was no love. Elena was in love with Damon( strong feelings). Lizzie’s case she loved/ hate hope (strong feelings too). Also its rare because when some vampires turned humans there is no link, so when it happened it was an anomaly. 🤷🏻‍♀️ my opinion.

Oh, no I was basically excited of to what extend a heretics can do against a tribrid thought it's exciting but oh, she can't kill her instead she protects and can be controlled. I hate that all that time at the school and Hope never decided to read up on her family! It would have prevented the body switch with Aurora AND it would have told her that had Lizzie killed her it would have killed Lizzie too seeing has Hope’s an “ORIGINAL TRIBRID” like how her family is an original and if they died their sire lines would die too

Its different, werewolf sire is different than vampires, werewolves is because they feel grateful that they do have to change anymore. Vampires sire is because of strong feelings towards the one who changed you

I wonder if Lizzie is sited to her because she loves hope or stm else. Here’s my theory. Klaus (part wearwolf) was able to sire hybrids by curing them of the pain of turning every month. Hope is the trybrid, (part witch) maybe she sired Lizzie because she cured Lizzie of needing to siphon other magic.

I don’t think it can quite work that way, technically Hope didn’t cure her of no longer needing to siphon because she’s the tribrid. It simply happened because Lizzie turned. All heretics are previous witch Siphoners who no longer need to siphon from other things as they siphon the magic in the blood that made them a vampire, essentially making her always able to perform magic. I have a feeling we don’t know the reason yet behind why her sire to Hope is so strong, unless it’s simply that no matter how much she hates everything Hopes done she can’t hate her enough to stop loving and caring for her. I’d like to see Lizzie turn her humanity off! That would be interesting!

With the whole sire bond thing Lizzie has feeling for hope but it’s more sisterly love and plus hope’s blood is powerful so it can probably turn humans, witches, werewolf’s into a sire bond. Plus Lizzie is a hybrid herself.

Let Hope take a break from relationships. Lizzie & MG is something this show has been setting up for a really long time. Much better if they let that happen. Hope & Lizzie makes little to no sense, they've basically been like sisters throughout. I wouldn't say the same for josie tho.

So I was a big fan of tvd but I don’t watch legacies. Does the sire bond works the same? because I remember, with damon and elena, that the sire bond is not that literal. The one who’s sired just has a big desire to make their sire happy, that’s why they obey. So it’s kinda confusing how it looks like hope is literally manipulating lizzie as if it was a compulsion. Sorry for my english btw.

Bcz that other lady who sired to Damon never broked that sire bond bcz she never wants to ...bcz Damon was become her obsession.

Elena being sired was very literal, even before they knew she was sired she would get sick from both animal blood and blood bags because Damon said she should drink fresh blood. Then when he finally said it was okay to drink it she no longer got sick. Also that one random girl (forgot her name) that was sired to him was still counting the bricks on the buildings 30 years after he told her to count until he got back. They went to see her because he hoped the bond was broken but she was sill there counting and waiting for him and she even told him how many bricks there was. Elena also turned off her humanity because Damon told her to.

Siphoners are basically like werewolves, a wolf forced to endure the pains of a full moon and Siphoners have a toxic relationship with their nature, having to steal magic to make magic. Her being sire is exactly equivalent to Tyler being sired to Klaus, her instincts make her believe she owes Hope for giving her a way to practice magic. Too long, sorry for the block of nonsense.

Technically for Lizzie no. For hybrids yes. The hybrids broke their sire bond to klaus by transforming 100 times into wolves. Therefore they had nothing to be grateful for which meant the sire bond was broken. Lizzie can’t do that… she became a vampire because of hope. Unless Lizzie took the cure… she will never be free of the sire bond

Why is Lizzie sirebonded to hope though? I thought that sirebond happens when you take the blood of a vampire who you have feelings for and turn only then can it happen. So what am I missing? Sorry haven't watched legacies after season 2. Can someone enlighten me??

not that I don't think the sire bond thing isn't interesting but the way it keep changing through the show is kinda annoying, with Klaus and hybrid they still could be themselves and have free will if Klaus told them to do something they didn't nessaserly do that thing it's like he said it and eventually they'd do it, just like Elena with Damon, she'd eventually do what he asked, or agree unctuously with what he said but with hope and lizzie is almost like lizzie is being compelled but she aware of it, it strange, grated hope it the first of her kind so maybe that why it different I just wish they changes there making were explained better especially with the spells they used in TVD, TO, and legacies could have been used earlier or later and it would have changed everything but they didn't write it into the show.

It actually makes sense. Elena's sire bond formed because she had already been in love with damon, and therefore she has no reason to question it. Lizzie's is closer to the werewolves situation because she doesn't have to merge with josie anymore

Fair enough, but it was way worse in The Vampire Diaries where it was heavily romanticized, it looks like it's being explored in an interesting (darker, morally grey) way here. Lizzie hates it and wants to kill Hope, I think this will make for an interesting storyline.

I think this version of the sire bond storyline is closer to vampire compulsion. I know that they're technically different, but they both involved lack of consent and servitude, and I'm sure Lizzie will be desperate to find a way to break the sire bond (after the writers explore it for a few episodes) the same way that characters in TVD tried to break or beat compulsion. I don't think it will be painted as a good thing or romanticized the way that Damon and Elena's sire bond was.

And Lizzie with MG maybe or Ethan i dont know. Josie and hope could have happened but Josie's actress left the show so thats not happening either i guess
