So many people associate this song with sadness and heartbreak, but I never have. I’ve always looked at it as that moment when you realize you’ve fallen in love, you aren’t quite sure where the other person stands, but you feel they love you….you just can’t say for sure, because they haven’t. I sit here in this pitch dark room crying because I know it’s the end between me and my ex. I had hopes and aspirations about us and she made me believe that’ll come true . She’s currently with another man as I type and I breaks my heart . I’m an ex drug addict 90days clean today and situations like right now drive me to use to just not feel these types of emotions . I know nothing will come of me writing this on the RU-vid video but for anyone else reading this and thinking they’re alone in this world or feeling like this is the end I just want to say YOU ARE LOVED , I’ll be damned if I let this make me relapse on drugs and or end my life , this song gives me hope that someday I can look back on this day and realize how I let a relationship almost derail me from a clean future .

I write my own Material and make my own videos and have done covers too but I agree with you about the nonsense getting more Likes or more views, I noticed that Posts about Crime get more views and also especially since Covid the Big Name Artists are using more Social Media to share their music, while this platform has been much needed for those of us struggling Artists who get little attention. Just because they are famous they will get thousands of views and thousands of Likes , it's not right , in my opinion they should take a step back and let some others have a chance. Every time I hear this song I think of my dog that died a while back... I received a dog from a lady on the street. She gave him to me and left, never came back. He was obviously beaten and a bit under weight. Not so much but enough for it to be visible. He was a such a sweetheart tho. I fell in love with him and kept him. He didn't know how to bark or act around dogs. How to play, how to eat properly because he would lick the food not eat it. He was a very sad, odd dog. Over the years he got better. He barked, he ate like a normal dog and even started to learn how to play a bit even tho he thought they were being mean to him and didn't really realise its a game. The second year he jumped of the sofa one day and cried out laudly. We weren't sure what happened but quickly we realised that he couldn't move half of his body. When we took him to the vet he scanned him and it was clearly visible that his spine was damaged. He said that he was probably hit over the back with a hard stick because he had multiple fractures all over his back which we didn't know ofc and which was the reason his back vertebrae slipped and fractured. He had to choose between putting him down or paying a operation for a couple of thousand. He wasn't the youngest dog but we knew he still had many years ahead of him. He was truly such a sweet little angel.he finally had a happy home where people loved him. So we payed for the operation. Itwas insane how expensive it was. It took him months to feel better. Rehabs cost us even more money but he healed completely and was able to run, jump and be a completely normal dog again. It was incredible how he healed. Even the doctor couldn't believe it. It was as if nothing happened. By the end of the third year however a terrible accident happened. We have horses and he was my little traveling companion. It was his only happiness in life. He didn't play with toys or other dogs. He just wanted to run in the forest and sniff around. It's all he knew how to do. And doing it on a hours long trip was a dream come true. He probably never been in a forest before he met us. One day however one of the horses accidently scratched his back. Even tho nothing really happened to him physically the shock that he thought he hurt his back again killed him. He cried out and ran under a tree. He seemed fine otherwise. But then he suddenly dropped and his gums turned white. He was in a shock. Vets were closed because of corona and no one was there to help. He died right Infront of me slowly and i couldn't do anything to help. It hurts my heart everyday. Biggest pain I've ever felt in my life was losing him and not being able to do anything to help him. Its been 8months and I cry everyday. He was the most adorable dog, the sweetest, purest being I know. I just wish he had more happiness in life. And I know he must have been the most beautiful puppy in the world. He was about 8 and people still thought he was a puppy. I wish i could see him again. But I know it wouldn't be him. I hope his little soul finds its way back to me. I hope he knows I still love him so very much and I miss him everyday.

I was 17 when I first heard your song, you were doing a radio interview with an LA Station…can’t remember if it was 102.3 but I remember hearing you talk and then singing this song live and I remember writing down the lyrics down so fast so I could find you..at the time music was limited and we didn’t have much options I think I must have googled your lyrics on RU-vid and limewire. I was obsessed with this song and my first little heartbreak cried over this song so much. What I’m trying to say is that now I’m 32 and hearing your song just unlocked a core memory of my teenage years. I need this version on Spotify. It’s so beautiful. I hadn’t thought of this song in a long time and yesterday the lyrics came flooding back to me. I couldn’t remember the name of the song and I went on a search for it. All I remembered was the : “who am I to say you love me” part. Which made it a little difficult to find 😅 but once I did find it, I immediately went to listen to it on Spotify and it sounded a bit different than how I remembered it. That’s when I realized there must be different versions of it. The one on Spotify is more instrumental and has a faster tempo. That version is good too, but this stripped down piano version is just amazing! Anyway, I’m so happy I was able to find this song again.

Years ago my parents bought her CD from them when they sung on the street in LA. I lost it but I keep singing them. They are burnt in my heart. I love her songs and voice so much. It is timeless. Underrated artist. My all time favorite.
