Amazing how many emotions that game could make you feel, the characters, the story, the unique attacks, the amount of content the game has is insane. Wolf Girl like Panda Cat said, the whole point of Undertale is that it's a game, how will resetting and saving work? All the point is that the game is self aware. All the point of the fight with Azzy at the end of the pacifist run is that he doesn't want you to finish it, he wants you to be stuck forever, so he won't be left alone, you were interesting to him because you're not a game character, but rather a person, that can choose to do whatever you want, he couldn't predict you, this simply won't work if we aren't the ones controlling Frisk. Another thing that would be lost is the whole thing about curiosity, how because us, the player, was curious, we decided to reset and play genocide, not caring for everyone you met, because we wanted all of the endings, and that makes us lose the whole existential thing Sans is going through, how pointless he feels because he's a game character that can't do anything about what's going on. So yeah, I personally don't think that it would work. I feel like those elements are very important.

Even though I'm rather fond of the AUs (and by that I mean well written ones, not wastes of space like Underlust) I really agree with this. I really wish the fandom could be better.
