🕒 Lost Time, Lost Valves: Day 2 kicks off with a comedy of GPS route errors as our plans for the Orange & Vaal river confluence takes a detour to Douglas due to a game of "guess the tire pressure". But the real punchline? A cracked valve stem just 1 km shy of the legendary confluence of the Vaal and Orange rivers! Talk about deflating expectations!
🤠 Farmers, Horses, and Track Fails: Shortcuts turn into long laughs as we navigate detours blocked by farmers, who's horses laugh at us standing on the phantom roads, shown by Tracks for Africa. Who knew getting lost could be this entertaining?
🔧 Limping to Douglas: With tire trouble in tow, we make a pit stop in Douglas for a valve stem replacement. Goodbye, confluence dreams; hello, impromptu pit stops and unexpected adventures!
😅 Riders' Relief: Arriving in Kanye fashionably late at 20:15, our fellow R1150GS riders finally breathe a sigh of relief, easing the worries for their two missing fellow adventurers. And what better way to cap off a chaotic day than with a hearty dinner, courtesy of the incredible staff at Kanye Lodge?
