Coming into their game against Eastview last Friday, the Hopkins varsity football team had 29 straight losses, a streak that spanned three winless seasons. For some seniors in the Royals football program, they’ve been playing tackle football since 3rd grade and only have experienced a win once back in 5th grade. Hopkins losing streak came to an end last Friday when the Royals took down Eastview in a thrilling overtime game. The Hopkins seniors were overjoyed with finally getting a win.
