Cheers mate, unfortunately I don’t have a compound bow but I know generally compounds have more power than recurve. So I think a recurve crossbow vs compound crossbow the compound would win, but if you’re talking about a normal compound bow not a crossbow. Crossbows normally always have more power than a bow at similar draw weights.
If you had of got vice grips you would have better results I'm thinking, as movement of the trays would have reduced the impact if you get me bud, not to say that it definitely will but have a try with that and let me know how many trays it went through if possible thanks 👍

Great video, do you know if it's possible to put a regular recurve prod like the prod from a jaguar on this crossbow, while obviously not recommended I am just curious, cheers.
I’m honestly not sure mate, I don’t think you could, the prod on the horizone gets thinner in the middle and mounts from the bottom rather than the front like the Jaguar. So I don’t think a regular prod would fit.
Just posted a horizone redback penetration vid for anyone interested, i had one yrs back, and i forgot how tiny it is, but you can feel its almost overpowered for the size, so thats my second crossbow test, now im looking for a full size but fma supersonic sort of dimensions but hitting 400fps region, any suggestions, and good videos mate.

at what range do you think u can hunt a deer? still to have enough penetration for an average animal size? i want to buy the same model next spring ❤️ and another question. if i deposit it for a long time should i take the string out? or leave it tensioned?
@@constantinsabin3193 I’m not sure about hunting distance mate as it’s illegal over here so you’ll be better asking someone who knows more about it but it definitely will be powerful enough. I always leave it with the string on and it’s been fine. 👍
