Voters will be deciding on a medical marijuana initiative this November. Proposition 203 would protect terminally or seriously ill patients from state prosecution for using limited amounts of marijuana on a doctor's recommendation. The proposition contains many other provisions to regulate medical marijuana. Paul Charlton of Keep Arizona Drug Free and Joe Yuhas of the Arizona Medical Marijuana Policy Project will discuss the pros and cons of proposition 203.

That's right the goal is legalization. We are just playing your game by starting with Prop 203. If booze is legal, cannabis should be.

@VyraT if people want it for recreational use than why not. I have never seen a person get violent while high on marijuana. People can freely go buy alcohol, or the legal hallucinogenic herb salvia, or now even smokable incense (Spice)laced with synthetic cannabinoids that have less than a few years of testing. This new spice stuff has caused loss of vision, seizures, and vomiting, in people. You can buy that at any gas station here in Arizona now.

@TommyTurntables1 Actually it is a conservative Republican who currently put a bill into the Arizona congress to completely decriminalize marijuana possession in general if under a certain amount.

I'm tired of hearing this "Medical" logos appeal crap. What right does the government have to tell me what I can do to myself?

How can you do research when research organizations get blocked quite often. Politics of research so to speak. There has been studies already that prove this but not great big studies as there is no funding and no cannabis (you can't just use non-sanctioned cannabis). Meanwhile, patients are suffering and it is easy when it's not your loved ones who are sick, to say things like "go to the FDA" like you have all the time in the world. I don't want to wait and watch others suffer. Vote.
