@@remcodoetgames1637 for me apex machines spawn at either only at night or are just way more likely to, and I’m not sure but I initially thought that you had to kill like 20 of the machine to get apex ones to spawn, but I don’t believe that’s true. I can get apex behemoths to spawn so often during the day that I don’t really see normal ones anymore so it’s probably different slightly for different kinds of machines. Try changing it to night then going to the sight that they spawn (slitherfang, tremortusk, tideripper, etc) and seeing if an apex one spawned, if not then leave the area just enough so that it despawns and then go back. Do this at night and it almost never fails for me

I was thinking the same thing, but then I realized the Shield Weaver armor from Zero Dawn might be the prototype of Far Zenith armor so the functionality can be identical if they actually include that in this game.

I feel like people say they have the skill tree system for different playstyles which is fair. Personally, I feel like grinding it out and getting all the skills is super satisfying because then you can just play all the styles at the same time.

Apex Slitherfang can be found in any Slitherfang nest as a random spawn. You increase the chance of encountering it the more normal Slitherfangs you kill, and if you go at night

Also set difficulty to very hard. Almost a guaranteed spawn. You can then just lower the difficulty back.

Lol I killed a normal Slitherfang in one try with reasonable difficulty. Felt confident, went and looked for another. When I dropped onto the spawn point, it was an Apex and sure enough I died within 2 seconds

Yea I hate when theres a timer on when to kill enemies . So I had to put it on story just to get the armor I wanted . Some ppl like the challenge and I'll put it back on normal like I had it but damn it's kinda annoying.

I always refer to the carja stalker elite outfit as my pirate armor because I sorta look like a pirate captain in it which is really fun for me ♡ I don't even use traps that much (partially because they tend to be resource expensive) but visually it's super stunning

Jorraptor, I found a technique to spawn Apex Machines everytime, I mean it worked for me most of the time, which made my upgrade grind much easy, All you need to do is this! 1. Quick Save near the campfire of the machine you want to hunt, for eg: Apex Sliterfang 2. Turn the difficulty to very hard, quick save again 3. Quit the game and hit continue 4. Check the machine, it should be Apex variant like 99% of the time, if it doesn't spawn then fast travel to another area and come back, turn your difficulty to your choosing, Story, normal or hard. 5. Fight the machine and get the heart

@@evan1548 Night or day shouldn't matter, I was struggling with Apex stormbird not spawning, but after using this, it instantly worked. Same with Apex Slaughterspine and Apex Tideripper, Coz you need these machine hearts for most of the weapon or armor upgrades

If you want to spawn apex machines forward the time to NIGHT at the shelter and then fast travel to the machine location. Apex variants spawn at night time.

@@rmmm6725 Also it is a little jank, I'll give you that. Especially on ps4 with textures looking super ugly at times, mainly in settlements. And the occasional bug but nothing I've never seen before in other games that were just as fun. I can look past all of the shortcomings if it's clear that the developers poured their hearts out and cared for this project, which is abundantly obvious with Forbidden West.

You can find an Apex Slitherfang if you go to any Slitherfang site at night. Going at night increases the chance of an Apex spawning.

No it’s just a valor surge you can unlock in the skill tree to temporarily give the shield effect, I think it even works on all armors

In my opinion the armor you get from the contest the Oseram Artificer is the best with two 3% increase in every catigory weaves equipped puts you into the 60s on the majority of your elemental protections..once you've upgraded. I have noticed that there are always two elements that are real low on every outfit.

For the Apex Slitherfang, fast travel back and forth between the two Slitherfang spawns. You'll eventually get an Apex there (supposedly, Apexes spawn more frequently at night?).

I'm just using the Nora gear it's really good more stamina attacks also more slowing time and fast regen if you add food even faster you can just keep using stamina attack combine with ice for high damage (braced shot or explosive spear)

I’m rocking the winter weave I really like it I earned the carja stalker elite but don’t really like it that much plus I’m not playing as a trapper so it’s useful I wish this game let you put outfits on over other outfits

Is it me or did horizon get harder.. to be fair I know I’m not max level yet with good weapons but still.. I remember in zero dawn I can casually fight a thunder jaw in very hard at lvl 15 and easily beat it with no damage taken but in this game I can barely fight a ravager without going through all my health berries.. do I just suck or am I right about the developers making the ai for the machines more difficult?

They gave old machines new attacks. AOE projectiles also seem to be inconsistent as to whether cover matters to them or not

@@Eshtian that AOE attack is very accurate. Ive been grinding fireclaws to get their sacs to upgrade my weapons and sometime the fireclaw will start doing an eruption attack and even though I KNOW i perfectly dodge the attack and am no where near it, i still get hit by it.

Well the way the game described Apex machines was they appear more frequently when you kill its normal version multiple times and they are also more common at night

I'm really sad we don't really have any "sci-fi" armor sets in the game. Like it was really cool that the ultimate armor from the first game was basically a "zero dawn" armor. I am seriously shocked we never got anything armor related to the incredibly hard-core sci-fi concepts that were introduced in the storyline. I mean, WHY DO THE BAD GUYS HAVE WAY COOLER ARMOR THAN ALOY?!? This was not the case in the first game. By the end, we were by far the coolest looking person in the whole world. I would love to see a similarly awesome final armor set in Forbidden West, but I guess we are going to have to wait for DLC for that. :(

The Tenakh Tactician machine master ia great! Overidden machines no longer have a countdown timer for when you lose the override. The Nora Thunder Warrior is my daily driver for its concentration and stamina regen.

Quick pulse check - I'm not the only one using the bow alot with the spear and the spear only on downed enemies and against humans, right? I rarely go head on against a machine with the spear, unless it's a silent strike.

The game really improved in the gear system and due to my play style, I think is better the Nora Thunder Warrior... maybe now after the platinum I will try new playstyles.

How do you get the Apex Dreadwing Heart? I've been trying to get that and I can't seem to find an Apex Dreadwing. I've been to its spawn location on the bottom right of the map and it is just the normal varient and doesn't seem to want to spawn the Apex varient. Also, I've tried using the Arena but after I look the heart, it disappears from my inventory once I leave the Arena.

Including the Burning DLC, I prefer the Quen Deadeye . . . I prefer using stealth as much as possible. Also, there is a Slitherfang site in the desert -- you may have to kill a few regulars before getting the Apex.

For the slither fang change to night go to the embers area and kill several slitherfangs until the apex one shows up. I got mine this way.

In order to find the apex slitherfang you need to go to the slitherfang location in the dessert at night and you have to kill atleast 5 regular slither fangs befor it woll show up. Main thing is it has to be night. Go to a shelter and pass time at fire to jight then quicktravel to slithfang location in dessert

There are 6 slots and well the rarer the weapon the more type of ammo you can use with it. Where as legendaries have 3 types of ammo vs greens having one. Haven't found a legendary myself yet, but recently found a blue weapon with 3 ammo types.

Ran around most on the game in early game armor because I was waiting for armor types like in the first game.. I just wanted a lot of slots to make my own armor, or else something with medium armor in everything. I don’t want to micromanage, so I’ll accept the combat being generally harder,

A pitty that some dyes can't be aplied. The tenakth Vanquisher can't use the colors of the 2 purple Versions of it. I like the Red one more but it can't be unlocked and aplied on other tenakth armors 😢

ie the Carja Stalker Elite outfit: have you noticed that, if you keep the original burgundy color on the outfit, during cutscenes it changes to purple?? And then when you resume gameplay it stays purple. The first time I encountered this I thought I had changed the color with a dye, so I went to a dyer but it said that I had no dye on. So to go back to the original burgundy I bought a random dye, and then switched to the 'no dye' option and I was finally back to the original colour of the outfit. So weird! It's a beautiful purple though 😆

Jor a massive thing you over looked with on the tenakth tactcian armor it lets you overide machines indefinitely you can have a army of robots follow you so far ive had 2 at one time but ill see how far u can push it. This makes the machine skills so much better. Also, apexes have a better chance to spawn at night

@Audaces Fortuna Iuvat you still need to learn how to overide them. All the armor does is give you level 2 " lasting overide," which gives you an increased override duration. Well, this added with the 2 skills you can purchase makes the total effect permanent instead of 100 seconds. The major downside I'm having is that the machines seem to be tied to an area they eventually stop following you, which is super frustrating

@Macrochenia " ridiculously broken" my man you can 1 shot any machine on the hardest difficulty, no problem. Why not let players enjoy some massive machine on machine combat? I mean after all it is the games schtik. Aloy the "machine master" can apparently only control macines for 30 ft

Do we have the ability to summon a mount at any time in the game? Possibly later in the game or something? While it's not too much of a hassle to just find a charger to override, I personally loved just whistling and creating a mount on the spot in HZ 1

After you override your first mount you get to summon it at any time like in Zero Dawn.

If you mount are dead you will see summon icon red and have to override a new one to use it again.

whats up with the outfit merchant in thormash, it had an extra piece of dialogue where I thought I would get a free outfit but no, like is there a side quest related or smth or was it just cuz he sells legendary armor. Anyways any special vendor besides him, arena and the one next to base that have cool weapons or outfits or potions or smth like that worth the visit.

I started getting apex slitherfang spawns consistently at level 48 and theyre usually level 48 hadnt seen one before it so thise looking try that im on easy btw too no extra difficulty or quitting needed

Im having an issue with Runda because I’ve done all 3 of her quests and it still says complete Ruandas contracts even though I already have. But when talking to her I can only trade with her so no option of talking. Is this a bug or am I missing something?

the best armor is the oshram armor, i haven't found and armor stronger then it, 61 defence for melee and ranged stuff( if fully upgraded and with 2 resist all things)

I wish there was better and stronger Nora outfits! I SAID IT! I just want Nora Anointed or Nora Huntress but made for higher end levels! Listen. I just want the outfit to be a cosmetic to the SKILLS obtained.
