Something that was never addressed... The Odyssey originally had billions of plant seeds, millions of animal embryos, and 200,000 human embryos. How many of those were used to build Sirius Colony? How many remain to build a second colony? There were 60 or so berths when The Odyssey left the first time, so minimum 60 immortal originals. The holographic images of Sirius show it covered in cities, implying the embryos were birthed and a whole new civilization arose with the Zeniths as their ruling caste... but I think those images were just guesses of what Sirius looked like... maybe they never birthed the 200,000 embryos, or at least not all.

Around the 20 minute mark, Aloy's first conversation with Beta... I think Beta was proven completely wrong about Far Zenith's motives? (Spoilers read at your own rusk) The far zeniths is the beginning of the end of horizon. Think about it, they brought Apollo back, the societies in horizon will be forced to advance technologically at a break neck speed. The innocence that is horizon is now lost. Sylens will devour the knowlege, and force it upon everyone who he can. By the middle of the next game at the latest bows and arrows will no longer be the weapons it will be forced into a wanna be fallout game. Rifles, lasers, and plasma weapons will be the norm. While i understand that Gaia will need to eventually stop, let the new biosphere evolve and mother nature take over, this could have happened in several different ways. With the inclusion of Apollo humans will in a very short time be able to monitor and correct the biosphere with the knowlege gained. Instead of a series that could extend with its innocence for several more chapters (the writing, story, character development, and interactions, make me want several more in this series) instead we are looking at 1 or 2 games tops before its Alloy HALO evolved. Horizon was a fresh breath in the rpg cookie cutter genre, now I fear its going to spiral out of control. Yes Hades had the blueprints for modern guns and scifi lasers, they were limited to shooting off a machine, bulky, and very limited ammo. More of a situational perk not a norm.

I'm fairly certain Horizon was always written with the intent of being a three-act story, not to mention that other potential stories can be told on the side; there's an entire world of terraformed locations to potentially explore, they don't have to star Aloy (the VR game won't for example)... they don't necessarily need to relate to the Extinction Signal either, the writers have already shown they are capable of writing diverse tribes with interesting people. On the other hand, it's also possible for the third game to just end off the series

What I dont understand in this game is that Far Zenith had a 1000 years to improve their technology including gaining immortality, but they still need to travel years to steal a technology which is actually a 1000 years old? 1000 years after Sobeck died and they still cant just recreate gaia in like a month? Sobeck with her old tools, technology and team did it in 15 months and they choose to waste years travelling to steal it? :D That's a joke. It's like for us to travel years to steal Bell's telephone when we have 5G network :D
@emanuelquintanilla2520
@emanuelquintanilla2520 2 года назад
I think they had something similar, after all they had these “printing facilities”, which I guessed were first ruled by some sort of AI (they were able to build them too, Julius being one of them) Now, I hardly think they had the technological knowledge to build an exact copy of GAIA and they never felt like they had too. So when Nemesis showed up and destroyed it all, their only hope for a third earth-like planet was to find the “old but gold” Zero Dawn System. Zero Dawn required several experts (alphas) and a support team (betas), and the surviving Zeniths just weren’t the kind of people who could build something as amazing as ZD

@@emanuelquintanilla2520 Agreed, Nemesis destroys everything Far Zenith informations and technologies they're achieved. That's probably because Nemesis destroyed everything on the colony planet so whatever terraforming tech they had there wasn't brought on board when they escaped. Why did the Far Zenith go through the trouble trying to steal Gaia? The whole goal of the operation was for humanity to survive, and to start off with some extra tools and knowledge, to make rebuilding easier. Far Zenith presented Zero dawn with another opportunity for humanity to survive. Why not immediately equip them with everything they might need to guarantee success, including Gaia?

Zero Dawn was only made possible by repurposing the tech long under development for The Odyssey Project, as many of the blueprints for establishing an interstellar colony and terraforming an alien world would also be required to rebuild a dead Earth, such as the prototypes of what would become Apollo and Eileithyia. Zero Dawn would take these systems and propel them a quantum leap ahead of what they were. So while The Odyssey already had a prototype terraforming system, Far Zenith desperately wanted the more advanced systems that Zero Dawn was cranking out, so held certain tech hostage to get the governments of the world and Zero Dawn to share, which of course pissed off a lot of people, causing reprisals and their own actions against Far Zenith, more distrust and resentment, and the silly espionage games. Eventually as things got really critical most everyone realized the fight was pointless and just give each other what they needed...mostly.

Nemisis on the far zeniths tail, the far zeniths need gaia to teriform a new random world in a random direction that the far zeniths could avoid nemisis on, earth they know is doomed, they could never settle here just grab gaia and run, kill anything in their path as nemisis will kill it when it arrives.
@MikelosM
@MikelosM 2 года назад
If I remember, Zero Dawn was only perfected right before Zero Day. I think Odyssey launched a decent amount of time before that, as Sobeck was still alive to report that it had exploded exiting the Solar System. It's possible they could have been given an incomplete copy had they not attempted to steal it prior, but I don't think the timeline would have allowed them to obtain the final Zero Day version even if it was on the table. It's still a pretty big plot hole, however, as even with FZ being lazy for a thousand years, the immense amount of technological advancement over that time - even on proverbial autopilot - should have allowed them to create their own equivalent terraforming solution relatively effortlessly in no time at all.

Many reasons but Number 1 he hated the idea that his FUCK UP will be written on Apollo history Number 2 I don't think far zenith would've accepted him because the whole reason odyssey was made was to escape the faro plague and having the person who caused all this would've raised a lot of people's concerns Number 3 he probably wasn't allowed because he was morally and legally obligated to pay for the zero dawn program Number 4 he wanted to comeback as a type of God or Messiah to the new generation of humans birthed by Eleuthia to "guide" them to "advise" them For short if he was allowed onto the odyssey he would've been known as a coward on human history and simply he didn't want to leave earth

At the very least they had a working copy of Apollo and access to Eluthia. If they can speed run training Beta into a functioning technologist, and having immortal technologists among their ranks, I believe they can do it. I don't get why they chose to return to earth and endanger Zero Dawn's new humanity while they know that's where Nemesis is going to hunt for them? While I generally like the story and world building in Horizon....I think I am a little dissapointed in the Nemesis reveal. I mean in almost all robo-apocalypses its a rouge AI which wants to kill all humans, which was KIND of the case in HZD but i felt it was more....nuanced. The faro plauge was (seemingly) a glitch and HADES wasn't a rouge AI, just a AI trying to do it's job (kill everything) and then it was nice lead that it may have been released by some mysterious force which we thought were the Zeniths......only to then have it be that they are being hunted by what is obstensibly a rouge AI who wants to kill all humans.

While I feel the Far Zeniths were a bit too....rushed in Forbidden West, it is a interesting contrast. HZD was basically, Cavemen with Robo dinos. BUT the zeniths seemingly represent what society could have easily turned into if Apollo wasn't deleted (though who knows with most of the previous inhabitants being dead may have helped them not screw up things as bad as they did) and while the citizens of various tribe's aren't all perfect they at least seem to have a lot better number of morally/ethically good people then the Far Zentihs.
